Those are very cute beginner earrings! It will probably be fine for such a light dangle, but please be aware that putting a jump ring directly through a bead hole can be problematic on a heavier piece. The bead will often break.

Just taught myself how to do this today. USE BIG BEADS FIRST THAN GET SMALLER.
