Pff. There's no Iron, no Elo Hell, nothing like that. The game is just one giant Smurf Queue without well-defined leagues. Win a couple of games with a high score, and Riot's algorithm immediately throws you against some suspiciously good players. It might still be fun and easy for you high-ranking Challenger Streamers, but it's definitely not fun and incredibly frustrating for us average players. Especially for people like me who used to love the game but now have to work 12 hours a day.
Learn in quickplay and normals.. when you git gud, you become the smurf

@@michaelberry463 After nearly 14 years of playing League and reaching Diamond in Seasons 4, 5, and 6, I believe I know the steps very well. This simply isn't the skill level expected of Iron players. The same goes for Bronze, Silver, Gold and so on. While I'm not claiming this is unbeatable, it seems like there are a lot of smurfs, smurf trolls, and smurf content creators in every match - fogged obviously included. This is incredibly frustrating for players who only have a couple of hours a day to enjoy the game and who expects nothing more than a fair and balanced experience.

If you think smurfs are holding you from leaving iron, you're genuinely delusional. There will be smurfs but not enough to keep you from climbing.
You can't even smurf at this elo, except you have 80€ to spend.

to escape iron you must simply choose 1v9 champs and expect NOTHING from your teammates
@3:21 There is a simple psycological reason for this. Anyone that is going to play jungle before late gold is going to be blamed, berated, yelled at, and screamed that they aren't ganking. So they will hard play for lanes because even if it's the not the correct play sometimes, it still works. By not wanting to be yelled at they try to protect the mental of the other players. This also lowers their farm drastically and objective focus, so iron-gold games where rotations and timers to do things are not followed, end up lasting longer. But people will fall in love with the jungle because they are always ganking even if they are super underfarmed.
I was teaching someone league, (just from a I'm kinda garbage but I understand it some and how rotations work), and I noticed they would commonly say "So what are we doing?." The only boring options were push out waves, put down vision, or literally just don't fight right now. They would find a fight and start one. If we were playing with people we didn't know, it was the jungler's fault they died, because they were not in their lane. People want to fight all the time and the only way to survive iron-gold is play up on that, or afk jungle till you can solo carry.
I mean, Fogged even shows himself that AFK farming doesn't win in low ELO in the game around the 2 hour mark.The Viego was 6 levels down at one point, but his own inting team, full of indignant rage at the jungler completely shutting down his "lane" opponent, quite literally fed a 10-deaths hypercarry champion free kills. They lacked the comprehension to understand that a level18 Tryndamere at 24 minutes can just solo win if they simply play safe enough.
@@BunnychanFarabee mmhm and this is percisely why if you ask most people how they got out of iron/bronze/silver they will respond I muted everyone. Iron-silver elo is a completely different game. And a lot of it comes down to which person is going to explode when they lose lane. Or in some cases which assassin jungler is going to lose his mind for someone taking their kill.
The best damage control a jungle can do is camp everyone's lane, which is why nunu & wilump is such a great low elo jungler since they can speed around the map. If you are ganking (and not dying constantly) the other team will rage because their jungle ins't as present and you win by metal boom on enemy team.

And yeah you are right, that‘s why it‘s kinda bad to play some scaling junglers in this elo, people will go mental boom if you didn‘t show up until the 5 minute mark on their lane like they will literally start to soft int and if you proceed to farm and scale then you have to face 5 fed people on the other team when you start to scale xd

Honestly iron 4 isnt THAT bad. Overall everyone has gotten better and its nice to see. I started in 2013 and remember bronze 5 was unreal funny where maybe 2 people in the game took flash and everyone built wrong and just ran at you auto attacking and using random abilitys. The fact that lillia tried to freeze at iron 4 is crazy to me.

@JerryPrivia-tu9kb There are smurfs in every elo but maybe 5-10%. When I say smurf im not talking about a plat player playing in silver im talking about diamond+ playing in silver. I havent played ranked in a year but when I did I got a smurf in my game every 10 or so games so no there are not 90% smurfs in any elo people just got better.

This is one of the most delusional the community believes in reality the game has changed substantially and caters much more to less skilled players I completely quit the game for 6 months after playing very sporadically for like 2 years and I came back and am destroying the silvers I'm currently playing against. For reference I have probably around 100 games played over the last 2 years.

@@MrHall8 I don't see it as a problem. Sure, you Will encounter a smurf here And there, but It's not really that often. Also, sometines you Will play against a smurf, sometines there will be a smurf on your team. So thé only thing that matters if you want to climb, Is to get better And increase your chances of winning.

It was pleasantly surprising to see how polite and friendly so many people were. On one hand I feel bad for that other team being handed a free L because they had a challenger smurf on the enemy team knocking their inhib down at 9 minutes.. but on the other hand that Darius was so wholesome I'm glad he got handed a free win.

I wanna talk about my iron experiences and why climbing is so hard.
Ive been playing LoL since 2012. I made a level 30, played unranked for two seasons and got pbanned for playing static shiv on ryze and spamming ingame on takedowns PRISONER SHANK RYZE. (i have screenshots from tribunal, went 10/10/11), said it probably 15 times that game-- "trolling" / breaking metas was incredibly frowed upon a decade ago, despite idolizing SivHD's version of trolling- so much so to where bans were given like candy, so I made account two and got a two day mute for flaming later down the road so i made account #3. and played two different lanes on those ranked accounts setup with AP on one and crit%/damage on the other (rune+ quintessence farming was a real bitch back then) got to silver on one, bronze on the other, and in my quest to get silver on #2, i lost silver during a temp ban period. Again, i dont flip out, i just play like a lunatic sometimes for the macro gameplay....... so i ended up making account #4, my account dedicated to trolling and i hit silver on all 3 accounts from bronze placements that season. It was insanely hard grinding with a 50% wr and being LP clamped was brutal..... so much so to where i made account #5 and made it SOLEY for ranked. I grinded to level 30 for another fresh MMR for ranked placement, went 9-1 in provisionals!!!!!!... bronze I placement, got it to silver 3, and the other 3 active accounts landed bronze 4 to bronze ii. fast foward another 5 years and one of my other alts was pbanned for telling a dude to speak english and to quit typing ebonics (legitimately an immediate post game pban-), so i remade a 6th account, went 3/5 in the provisionals and landed iron. the other bronze accounts landed iron or bronze placements- i havent seen silver since maybe 2016-2018.
Let me clear the record: i play with a lot of diamond, emerald and a few grandmaster players and even theyre like "wtf is going on, how are you bronze?"
the game is SO much different at low elo than it is playing seriously with good players. The reason is that in bronze and iron, the game is a single player game- its about you, making highlight clips, getting reckless, not playing the macro game, having fun and chasing kills all game and not seeing the outcome of your own actions by being overconfident and not respecting enemies (i now one trick pony Singed and carry a lot).
Its so common that games are usually 10-45 at the end, and are always that way in this elo. That or people give up immediately the second they go 0-1 in lane and do the same thing over again and lose out on 3 waves of xp / gold every two minutes. AFKs are incredibly common as well. refusals to surrender for loss prevention is OVERWHELMINGLY common.
After a decade of attempting to leave bronze and silver and iron as of recently, i can say that iron and bronze players arent bad per-se, they just dont see the point anymore in a grand scheme of things and just play to play- People here play ranked with a first time champ VERY often. the game is always gonna pull you lower if you dont have a 60+% win rate and make mvp every game and thats just how it is. like the time i was LP clamped so hard that i went 13-0 in ranked (after provisionals) and only accumulated 35 LP from that and lost 31 from a single game.. they want you to stay lower, and i believe the ONLY way to fix this is a HARD ranked reset every season- no more 2/5 players getting diamond just because they had it last year. EVERYONE needs to be treated the same going into provisionals- from the VERY bottom.
Blue side also grants less LP per win than a red side win, and loses more LP per loss than red.
If you are frequently playing on red side, you climb much faster per win, however there is a lower win % on red too. you used to be able to dodge to get red side to climb faster, and i dont think many people discussed that, ever

This Is a most bizare thing i have ever heard. Why would you keep making new acc over And over again? And saying that you are silver, but playing with diamonds And grandMasters common 😅. If you were playing like a Diamond, you would easily, And i mean really easily climbed out of low Elo. But you can't, first of all because you keep making new accounts, thinking the account is hard stuck or something, but more importantly you just play like a Casual silver, there Is nothing more to it.

just climbed back into silver from iron 4 yesterday. took about 30 games on Yordlez
i also kept making new accounts because of temp bans- anywhere from 3-15 days. in my experience pbans were on 3rd strikes, but can be avoided by playing other accounts with time between. i also never actively grinded one account at a time or attempted to one trick pony a specific champion over the years, which i started doing this run with Singed. Ive played a laner per account, so i just learned that way. IIRC im 27-12 with him right now. you can fact check me if you want- my ingame is up there

I like your story, pretty honest. But you seem to be overplayed and do the common copium.The truth is if you realy are better then Gold, you will climb. You might be better then many around you, but still the naked cannot lead the blind. Look i am silver gold and bronze forever, but i accept that. Yes i notice "loser ques" and "LP clamp", but i know any Emerald will surpass all these obstacles. I also noticed it is discipline, i actually get worse the more bored or tired i play. So i switch through all roles, only allowing 1 loss or 4 victories for each role. MF and Ashe. Rell sup. Cho, Rumble top. Karthus Jungle. Lux, Kaisa mid. 😆

more then one player playing past 2 minutes. Lane opponent not trading an entire wave to stop u from poking. didnt get ganked ten times by 8 minutes, no smurf on the other team. Yea these people are in a different queue then what we non creators get.
This is just not true. He is playing in iron, and you see him lose a game, even as far ahead as he was.
If you want to get closer to playing like fogged, make your minimap bigger and start watching it always. Most players even in silver only look at minimap when a jungle or support pings.

Took the #1 challenger 26.5 minutes with a team to win in iron. You should be having the enemy team ff at 15 in every game you play in iron. Which is exactly why irons can't climb. Trick2g used to 1v5 before league got ruined.

I see a lot of people blaming smurfs. To be honest, they are a part of the problem, but there are also other factors, like skill and mentality. From what I see in my games, most people think of themselves as “pro players” and blame everybody else. Also, there’s little to no teamplay, little to no map awareness, little to no mechanics, the toxicity goes through the roof and the list goes on. Sure, playing against a Smurf takes all the fun out of the game and they create imbalance overall, but having bad teammates or being a bad teammate does the same thing. How many times did the lane players blamed the jungler even if they lost 1v1 or 2v2? How many times did your jungler got ambushed at objectives because everyone was glued to their lanes and didn’t help? How many times did the adc blame the support and vice-versa even if it was his/her own fault? I’ve seen things like these so many times that the “mute” button has become my best friend in most games 😂.
On a different note, these kind of videos might be more interesting with players from high elo, instead of iron.

I want someone to find a new player who’s never played the game before, and try to teach them league from scratch and see how long it’d take to get them to gold.
I've tried.. The hardest part is the time it takes for them to truly learn what 130+ other champions do.
I remember reading the wiki page on unfamiliar enemy champions during losing screen, but the number of champions to memorize now is huge.

I genuinely dont get how people are stuck on iron lol. I started playing like maybe a year ago(?), went ranked, completed placements and placed gold 2. Climbed a bit up to plat before the season ended. Currently split 2 of this season and i cant get past plat so far but thats just cause of my lack of game knowledge so far.
Iron is a highly coveted meme league. That's just it. It comprises approximately 6% of all server players, which means it's almost as rare as being Diamond (4%). Platinum holds 19%. Guys there are smurfs, smurfing chronic trolls, smurfing content creators (like fogged) and only a small portion of legit guys with serious cognitive problems.
