- Part 1 of 2 - Ira Glass, host and producer of public radio's "This American Life," presents the National Book Foundation's Literarian Award for Outstanding Service to the American Literary Community to Terry Gross.
Terry has been my companion on the commute back home for 15+ years. Both Ira and Terry are an amazing pair, and represent the best of what the US has to offer. Thanks to both of you !
So in love with both of these people (Ira and Terry). Incredible speeches.
Holy crap, Teri Gross is teeny!
Glass and Gross are masters of their crafts.
Ira Glass...one of the best writers
I LOVE TERRY GROSS!
I half expected to hear: "It's this American Life, I'm Ira Glass."
You can tell Ira is a radio man the way he reads straight off the paper. Pretty bad to watch but, as Ira always is, great to listen too.
terry gross is sooo tiny! great intro ira!
@naizret
You think his "voice" is pretentious? You're either projecting because you feel intellectually inadequate, or you just don't understand that word.
Ira Glass is twelve feet tall!
Fran Lebowitz is awesome
kind of funny...most of the time I want to see the video but right I just want to hear it.
Tall guy... short podium.
@naizret
Lmao. No, hun, I don't.
Fran Lebowitz is more manly than Ira Glass.
