Wow the last thing i expected was hustling to make groundnuts here in Bahrain so i had to google hahaha imagine ma relief when i actually find a video related to that. Thanks guys keep the good job a xtra marketing of your page would be nice
So elated to find a cooking channel centered around Ugandan cuisine. It’s super hard to find resources especially a TH-cam channel of your production quality. Please keep it up!
Both the simmering and roasting are done on medium low heat to avoid burning before the stew fully cooks. It will definitely take a few tries before you fully nail it but practice makes almost perfect 😊
Thanks for the video. But you leave out so many details. For example, you dont mention whether you use hot or cold water to create the paste (before adding this paste to the boiling water). You mentioned nothing of the types of spices to use. How about the ratios of water to use and amount of paste.
Hello Benedict. Thank you for stopping by and for the observations. I have a detailed blog post that accompanies this video that you can find here: akitcheninuganda.com/2019/03/10/ugandan-groundnut-stew-video/

Thank you! 🙌🏿🙌🏿
Thanks for the video.
Although, could you specify the measurements. Like how much water to boil for how much gnut powder? Thanks again!
Hi Aaron, the full written recipe can be found with this link: akitcheninuganda.com/2019/03/10/ugandan-groundnut-stew-video/
Keep on uploading videos tokowa
My favourite stew.
Is it a must to first roast the g.nuts,,, coz me I prefer fresh ones
No. It is not a must. I love the smokey taste of the roasted groundnuts.
Thanks
How long to cook this
It can range from 2-4 hours. The longer it simmers on low heat the deeper and richer the texture and flavor.
Thank you. But you haven't talked about the levels of heat during the roasting and before simmering. Making groundnut stew really challenges me.
