Every element of the production is so organic. It’s a lot more carefully composed but also chaotic and on the verge of falling apart simultaneously. So much texture in every sound
Enjoyed the heck out of them Lastnight. Small venue but such a big freakin show. Mad props for putting the drums on the floor and letting people trample the drummer xD
Honestly, to get a voice like his you have to have years of damage from screaming for the attack of your scream to sound like that. It's still sick though. Most screamers are like that then after awhile there screams turn to mush. Like Davie from vanna or spencer from underoath, when their screams where in their prime they were so sick.
Randy blythe like had to have throat surgery over that exact thing. Theres apparently a "right" way to scream and growl and shit. Blythe took time off with a vocal coach and you can really hear the difference in their newest albums compared to their first few.
Probably, honestly labels can be ridiculous at times but at the same time they really are necessary to differentiate such a broad genre. I personally see it all as "hardcore" or just straight up punk, but for the purpose of answering this guys question they're known as a mathcore band.
Lol. the comments on these videos are hilarious. A bunch of punks talking about genre and radio play 😂 its 2019 and nobody listens to the radio, everyone just listens to shit on their phone. With that said, the Chariot is fooking great. Missing the old days of T&N and solid state bands tearing it up at cornerstone, what a great time to be in the scene. Strange to think people are still super into this now tho.
Lol I know right? I didn't make any of this up though, I'm just telling it how it is. Mathcore is nothing new either, it started a while back with bands like Botch and The Dillinger Escape Plan I believe.
im just gonna put it out there, he sounds like he is yelling instead of screaming. Not that thats a bad thing because i actually really like yelling vocals
@FreshNapp these are actual photos...these dudes do the dirty work and try to make everything they do personal with the listener, so for the wars and rumors of wars album they hand printed the number of the album for the first 25, 000 CDs....
If Beethoven was alive today he would listen to this with an open ear, as to understand the complexity and genius behind it. Music that can be passionate and make you think is something beautiful to those that don't just want to listen to the fuckin radio.
Hello metalheads, emo's, goths, scene, punks. Instead of a Metal rebellion i propose a new plan. 1. Don't bash other metal artists, we must unite! We cant fight against pop music if we arent even together 2. Watch more and more metal videos to get it to the top of the youtube vid list If you like this idea, thumbs it up JUST so people can see it, and also spread it around if you like this idea Copy this text in every Metalvideo you watch and were getting thepower
his vocals are a lot more raw and natural then most vocalists which is one of the reasons I love them so much

I saw them last night. They fucking killed it! They are insane and a great band to see live. Pure Epic.
This sounds like the kind of song that would go perfect in a curb-stomping battle. One opponent beating the SHIT out of the other.
they remind me so much of the young Every Time I Die
these dudes are king

Right on. If you watched it for the first time, but after the music kicked in, you'd never guess it was nearly 4,000 still shots all spliced together.

@jish1231 im actually seeing them on tuesday with Silverstein and Pierce The Veil, ecstatic for the show
they probably broke up because of playing with shit bands like the ones you mentioned
@SoadOwnsUrFace One day you'll realize that Scogin is THE most talented singer of this day and age.
Energy.
Thank thee.
K, bye
these guys are fucking insane
@killswitchengageksw where are you going to see them? the show near me is at the boardwalk in orangevale near sacramento.
@ChasingNever The Chariot are a genius.
@ghostgate82 Well yeah, seeing as all videos are a huge collection of photos. The point was for it to look choppy, like a flipbook
HOW DO YOU DO VOCALS LIKE HIM!?!?!?!?!?
very painfully
@ChasingNever
I believe that would be Josh Scogin.
i cant wait to see these guys with miss may i i wanna go bat shit crazy with them
not trying to start genre war, but would you call this hardcore? Just curious

@JawaPenguin16 You yell
If they would used all 10,000, the frame rate would been better. On to other obvious facts...the Chariot is beast.
I guess there is a better way to fight flakes than a hand held vacuum?
I have heard Josh say that he hates it when people staple them as mathcore
It's kind of borderline mathcore/hardcore. Either one works really, the chariot is a little hard to define :P

fucking destroy shit! love it!

Damn bro. Nobody ever liked this. I guess hate lives on.
@ blahfuzzm Insane on the level where they look freakin crazy. i agree with you, there music isnt much to listen to, but they put on a damn good show.
Its hardcore punk, much like a Minor Threat or Bad Brains. Just a different take on it.
@FreshNapp all music is noise. duh
Sorry, just realized I probably sounded like a jerk. Totally unintended, I swear (:
I just wanted to take a moment and publicly apologize to my ears for making them listen to this
Huuuuuuh??? Errrrrrrrrrrrr ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR AHHHHHHHHHH WHAT IF WE CANT WAKE UUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPGHHHHHHUH!?
lol cosign
wtf is this
mathcore? holy fuck people have got to stop inventing genre names.
