  • Take a deeper dive into the bezier tool from SketchUp and learn how to have greater control in defining the shape of your arcs using the degree command. See how adjusting the degree value creates more points to adjust the curve to the shape of your lines.

Degrees is the degree of the polynomial curve that will result from your clicks, so the first example is a “cubic” polynomial, the second does a 4th-degree (hence degrees = 4) polynomial, etc.

Geat, just what I wanted, next would be how to increase Bezier curves segments

Very cool. Thank you for this, hadn't played with these yet. Good to know.

Great post Aaron and thank you, I have to say that you present information in a concise and orderly manner. This post was very helpful as I have been struggling with this extension in Sketchup for a while… I am also use to using Corel Draw which has a simplified set of tools for vector manipulation.. It would be great if you could do a series on the Fredo Bezier Spline extension tools…

All sorts of fun to be had when you start drawing n-th degree Beziers in three dimensions!

    Great explanation!
I'm using the online version and I'm tying to make a "bezier surface" in order to make a concave surface over a flat object. Is there any video showing this task using only native tools?
    Thank you!

Great video as usual. How are you able to pan and orbit around your model without seemingly using the tools to do it. Do you have a separate device operating this function?
