- Ride along with Dave and Joe as we fish in the Livin2Fish open tournament on Lake of the Ozarks. Fat Bass are eating the A-rig pretty good about 25 miles from the Shawnee bend boat ramp launch. Even though I have caught the biggest bags of my life on the Arig...its not my favorite and I'm not the best at it but many times in tourney fishing you don't get to fish your favorite technic

congrats. I agree with you about the arig. And now when you combine it with FFS it is a whole different ball game. It is much easier to put that rig in front of a bass and coax it or even aggravate it into striking it compared to fishing it "blind". Personally I'm not a fan, but to quote "Dave Mic"...It is what it is. 😛

David, have you heard of Boca reel bearings? I have some old Shimano reels I had them installed in, they work great, make your reels much smoother. You should check them out, maybe have a couple of your older reels done. Think you will be happy you did! really like your videos.

Best suggestion that I have seen made on the Pros using FFS is to let them use it but there is no practice. Once the schedule is announced all waters are off limits until tournament starts. I just recently heard there were some of the younger guys who spent 30 days on Grand before the cutoff practicing for the Classic.
You wouldn't spend 30 days on a new lake practicing for the classic? People forget this is tournament fishing it's about winning. Those boys probably wish now they would have done 90 and should have done 90 given they could afford it
Dave love you're content. As for ffs i have have had it for years. Spent a lot of money on it. Do i wish they would ban it absolutely. Here on my on my local Lake, here in Virginia you can compete without it.

We have tournaments for different skill levels. We have small boat tournaments, Kayak tournaments, should there be FFS tournaments??

Why not drop the last fish in the well as soon as you get it out of the net?
You knew it would cull but kept it out of water quite a while. Maybe your editing made it seem so long.

Been lucky enough to donate a share lunker that was 15.32 lbs it is an incredible program
They took sharelunkers all through the first 3 months of the year and then they have a cutoff because of the spawn. Not for sure they ever did truly cut the program off Bc there was too many fish?

I understand the idea that its just another tool or no different than previous advancements in technology but i only see it as a negative for the sport. The obvious difference is no other tech before has allowed anglers to watch in real time how a fish reacts to your presentation. It allows novice anglers to not only compete with very good anglers but it allows them to beat them on a regular basis. You can be proficient with FFS and literally have no foundation of skills in the sport of bass fishing. I would even go as far as saying you can win tournaments with it without knowing anything about bass fishing. Im not saying its easy to use but its a helluva lot easier than devoting your life to mastering the sport. Im still waiting for someone to make a convincing argument as to how its good for the sport. However, i can give ten reasons off the top of my head how its bad for the sport. I use it when i have to to compete in regional events and that is one thing that bothers me the most. Ive been fishing tournaments since 95' and especially in the fall and wi ter I have to use it to be competitive. Just my opinion but I think we will look back someday and wish it were never created..
Because that’s the only way a high schooler can catch fish. Have no idea about behavior or patterns. Just wander aimlessly hoping something pops up on the Gaydar screen
I go fishing to enjoy the sport. the last thing I'm going to do is stare at a screen all day. win lose or draw. BASS elite has become almost unwatchable. my 2 cents
