@King Boi Of course they knew that we're explorers. Too bad I only own a laptop so GTA V is the latest Rockstar game I can play. I'd love to see RDR 1 & 2 on PC.
Cheyenne Felix yeah me too expect my mangos won’t grow because of the drought and my wife keeps yelling at me, so it’s really starting to put a strain on our marriage. anyone know how to fix?
you are really uneducated. Without any detail it takes no space compared to other areas. For example kerbal space program : You have planet sized maps with no detail at all and the whole game is about a few gigabytes.
Who has the time to do this? Even bigger question.... how did someone go “oh let’s go here and then here and then here, how about here too! And then let’s fly and then hop into a infinite drop! I think this will get me to guarma!
BResch19 Productions they probably go around exploring without any expectations of where it'll take them then once they discover something worth sharing they figure out how to do what they just did
Go to where you see Seth (Mantea Falls) in the San Luis River. You make into Mexico then get drunk to glitch in there. Go east or west until see a arch then go East. Guarmas map should load then fall off, you despawn in guarma
Probably people who devote themselves to this game. They know the in's and out's of the game mechanics and they know potential glitch spots, very much unlike you. Do some research and have some common sense.
It's most likely unused space, space for cutscenes, special missions, and possibly DLC. Rockstar didn't put in the effort expecting people to explore it. And there's no invisible walls because there was no point, they didn't think anyone would be out there. You saw how complex the route was to get there.
@DChief94 , let me get this straight; you think that Rockstar expected people to follow that route and get out of bounds, and specially detailed that area just for the players, who weren't supposed to be there in the first place, and for some reason left buggy areas like the floating water and the blurry space, not to mention the infinite falling in?
Rockstar : “Here is all this lush beautiful land with animals and people to interact with and amazing things to do!” Gamers: “let’s glitch to empty land”
Other games when you go out of the map: Doesn't render/can't go out/dies. RDR2 when you go outside the map: Hey, here's a place you're not supposed to be in but have fun!
@MLU8811 hahahahaha funny but no unless you specifically are referring to the mission where you save John from the wolf's (if you try to go back there's not only invisible walls in place but the ground has been altered.)
Yes, but don't go where there are a lot of signs telling you not to enter. Beyond those signs are blurry land not fully developed and you may fall through the matrix. See thirteenth floor movie
Wonder why r* didn't leave Guarma open. Just take a ship from St.Dennis and sail to Guarma or something like that. Would be fun to investigate it after story.

@@npkdotty6379 *Spoiler Atlert* You see the man looking for Gavin again in Blackwater after completing the Arthur Morgan story, 8 years after Arthur met him in Rhodes... He is still looking for Gavin.
@@user-yk6kx8kf8l Mexico is already in RDR2. It's unfinished, but more detailed than all that empty space in Guarma. You have to glitch into it, too, but it's way easier.
Nabilio Thats true, I just get overly invested in good games like Skyrim, GTA, RDR2... they have so much shit to offer, and life in video games is so much more fun than real life, that it’s easy to want to invest time I don’t have into them. But then, I have so much anxiety that I’m putting off time that I can’t even enjoy myself.. Unfortunately, hours worth of gaming are a thing of my past, for now.
If this game gets a PC port, reaching this place would be a breeze. Hell we might even get a Taihiti mod and have every gang member farming mangoes.. in real time.
Another train, dont doubt on me son and follow my goddamn plan...well even if I even seem to dont know what my plan is.??? Theirs always the fucking dutch plan
There's probably a few things. Hell, most of Mexico exists, including flat spots where train tracks would go, cut outs in the ground where buildings should be, a cutout in a hill for a train tunnel, roads everywhere (including the one you ride when arriving in Mexico in rdr1), and even ambient dog barking sounds near town locations. I even got a popup about treasure maps while looking around. I also found an unused dried up river bed, complete with rocks, trees, and animals outside the top left of the map.
TXF, where are the train tunnel, roads, and dogs barking, and popups in Mexico? Here is working Mexico out of map: th-cam.com/video/0tAkVUBdamk/w-d-xo.html
There is another way. Go to that creepy cave where the devil hermit person lives and drink until you pass out. You should spawn outside of the map and go from there
@RJ Dominguez it's sound and texture files that are the big offenders. Say you have a 5MB grass texture, and say this is tiled every square metre of terrain, that doesn't translate to 5MB x number of square metres. That would be insane. The geo itself will take up space in the form of polygonal information and what not but it's negligible compared to the actual assets.
It's actually incredible how much land wasn't used outside of the map, even though you can actually get there, walk around, and it's textured and decorated with trees and whatnot. The map could have easily been 3x the size it is
Most of that space would be used for cutscene rendering and stuff like that. Populating map space like that with many dynamic nps, changing environments, random encounters and all that would have been really difficult to execute. I think they did an amazing job making the main map feel like its own world. Dont get me wrong Id love to see more story content instead of just online stuff, so hopefully they can put it to good use!
Really disappointing that R* locks a good quarter of this game behind 2/3 of one chapter in this game. DLC better be the ability to take a boat from Saint Denis to Guarma.
For a while anyways... But I was indeed pretty impressed with how far it goes. I think most of it is so the skyline looks right, but there is still grass pretty far away, which is cool...
Many thanks for your no-nonsense approach in making this video. There’s no tedious preamble and you didn’t try selling your personality with dialogue that usually slows everything up. Right on.
On a side note, am I the only one who felt like the Guarma mission were completely unneeded in this game? Seemed like it was just trying to make the game longer.
I felt the same way initially but I think the whole fiasco in Guarma was to illustrate that Dutch's plan for the gang was idealistic at best. The Island was just more of the same hostility they were experiencing in the U.S. Wherever you go, you will have to deal wth some kind of governing body. Things devolve quickly for the gang when they get back.
I have thought this, too, but it feels like that break in time and the rest of the gang being away from Dutch is what made them realize they didn't need him to survive and that he might in fact not be making the best "plans" for them. When you come back, the division is palpable. I couldn't get to Shady Belle fast enough to see what had become of them and I was so freaking proud of Adler. That letter to "Uncle Tacitus," and then later she says Javier got the one she also sent to the post office. Now, THAT'S a "plan."
Also, this is probably just because I'm a female, but it sorta pisses me off that they spent so much time on Guarma but could've had more side missions for Arthur with Charlotte Balfour (the Widow). They reportedly had a 2nd love interest side story (besides Mary) for Arthur, but cut it out only to save 5 hours of game time. 😭 In my imagination, that involved Charlotte. Even if the TB still took him, there would always be that regret, but I wanted so much for him to spend more time with her and end with some epically romantic line like, "I wish I could've met you sooner, so I could've loved you longer." At their last meeting, she says you can take what you want from her house (of course I'd already looted that thing earlier). I'm sure she meant supplies and food, but I looked in her bedroom and there was jewelry on the dresser that wasn't there before. When you look in your satchel, it's a silver locket. If there were more women working at R*, you would've been able to open that thing and see what pictures are inside OR it would've been something Charlotte just gave to Arthur (instead of him stealing it from the dresser), and it would've had a picture of her inside, maybe with a lock of hair or something. I could go on all day, but that story just should have been fleshed out so much better.
There is an old Tibetan expression..".He's not much of a horse if he can't carry you up a steep slope.....and you are not much of a man if you won't walk him down one"....see if that increases your bonding with the horse.
@@nomad-81-25 That's up where the air is too thin for horses. If you use yaks as pack animals they will take you from about 10,000 ft up to 20,000 feet, after that it's Sherpas.
When I tried to leave Guarma, I did the exact same thing, but it failed. Even if I kill myself and load the autosave file (many times), I can't leave Guarma. So, this is an alternative way to leave the Island. And yes, be very patient because, you don't have any horse this time. You should also stock yourself with cocaine gum or bitters. 1. By the time you failed, you should realize that you can go to the beach without being shot by the snipers. 2. If so, follow the solid terrain go to the northeast end of the map (don't step on the blurry terrain yet). 3. There should be a sea blocking your way and you can't use Arthur to swim all the way. Therefore, use the blurry terrain, then go back to the solid terrain. 4. Continue step 2 until you find the edge of the solid terrain. 5. Enter the blurry terrain and head northeast. 6. Keep running until you find the plants and trees that doesn't belong to Guarma. 7. If you're under the grass and trees from the mainland, you've reached the mainland map. You can still walk normally above the sea (as if you're flying). If so, find the path that goes up and you should be able to walk on the solid terrain once more (better to head east). Be careful not to fall into the sea (don't go to the north too much). 8. Run towards the mountain (or just head north). If you see Lannahechee River, head there. 9. If the map is still showing Guarma, just head to the isles closest to the river (be careful not to drown yourself yet). 10. If the map reverts back to the mainland, then you can call your horse. But if you want to go back to the mainland, just drown yourself. Took me almost an hour to do this. Hope this helps you guys.
Your first point suggests you can get to the beach and not be killed by snipers. How? I've tried so many ways, hidden, running full out, zig zag. No matter what, bam, eventually a headshot kills me out of nowhere. I just want to chill on the beach and explore the non-red areas. Can you explain how to avoid the snipers?

@@johnjohnson201 time enjoyed being wasted isn't wasted time at all though as they do say. Have some faith
Most likely just a shit load of trial and error about which route to go and what not.

If this game gets a PC port, reaching this place would be a breeze. Hell we might even get a Taihiti mod and have every gang member farming mangoes.. in real time.
PC port is confirmed

As you should
Its actually so cool how you can actually get back to guarma from the standard map instead of guarma being unreachable
It's bloody amazing how they made alot of land actually walkable between guarma and the rest of the map. Fairly detailed too
Arthur: *Rides 100 miles without seeing an animal*
Random beaver on the floor: Am I a joke to you?
Crazy to see how much detail there is outside the map boundaries, I'm surprised the floor is even solid!
Everybody gangsta until
"keep going west until you start flying"
I’m certain a rockstar employee secretly put something out there like a huge treasure or a monster. Some signature no one is supposed to see.
I just found a floating block of ice out in the snowy north

There is another way. Go to that creepy cave where the devil hermit person lives and drink until you pass out. You should spawn outside of the map and go from there
Rockstar Games : lets make easter eggs!
Also Rockstar Games : But make it 40gb of free space for easter eggs
I know it's a joke, but that's not how games work. Terrain geometry doesn't take up as much space as you'd think :).
@@smhht you went to school alright
Its funny how obsessed we all are to always get to where we’re not supposed to be. Even if there’s nothing really there. Lol
Those 10 animals man! When OCD kicks in, we gotta do something about it!

No offense but girls always say that
The 11 Guarma animals are here: th-cam.com/video/iJw3-6yhprs/w-d-xo.html
zepole87 it’s our nature to explore the unexplored
It's actually incredible how much land wasn't used outside of the map, even though you can actually get there, walk around, and it's textured and decorated with trees and whatnot.
The map could have easily been 3x the size it is
Most of that space would be used for cutscene rendering and stuff like that. Populating map space like that with many dynamic nps, changing environments, random encounters and all that would have been really difficult to execute. I think they did an amazing job making the main map feel like its own world. Dont get me wrong Id love to see more story content instead of just online stuff, so hopefully they can put it to good use!
Horse doesn't make it = not worth it.
I made it with the horse
You have to go in detailed map and follow the marker in aguasdulces
yea, really don't know why he dropped out of the map :/
Bring a non-main horse
He got the same horse back at the end of the video. Braided tail and all. The horse just isnt in Guarma.

@@god9034 if idiots disagreed that's nobody's problem.
I am actually more impressed in the amount of time that some folks may have spent figuring this out than how detailed the out of the map is.

Really disappointing that R* locks a good quarter of this game behind 2/3 of one chapter in this game.
DLC better be the ability to take a boat from Saint Denis to Guarma.
I wish
Or to Tahiti👀👀
Oh, I am sure this will be part of an add on or Red Dead 3. My money is on add on.
They also only used the mountain you save John from once, behind the glacier. That area is inaccessible otherwise.
And when you are there you don't know for how much time and you don't collect animals.
Can we just talk about how there’s a fully rendered map outside of the map?
For a while anyways... But I was indeed pretty impressed with how far it goes. I think most of it is so the skyline looks right, but there is still grass pretty far away, which is cool...

Why the heck theres a lot of land outside the map?😂, and why theres a cougar in there😂😂
Ben Lev u already finished the game? Cause its not a playable area😂😂
Pretty sure the animals are spawn triggers.
They just stand there usually and sometimes take several shots to the face to kill.
@@DiegoMoreno-yb6fj old Red dead had it too.

So it looks nice when you look towards outside of the map
DLC
They wanted to make this game so real that they even gave the outer portions of the map some really good detail
On a side note, am I the only one who felt like the Guarma mission were completely unneeded in this game? Seemed like it was just trying to make the game longer.
Lil Durk exactly what ive been saying but no one agreed with me
Skm18 Well I agree 😂😂😂 a simple cutscene would’ve been more than enough. That segment was soooo dragged out
I felt the same way initially but I think the whole fiasco in Guarma was to illustrate that Dutch's plan for the gang was idealistic at best.
Even if the TB still took him, there would always be that regret, but I wanted so much for him to spend more time with her and end with some epically romantic line like, "I wish I could've met you sooner, so I could've loved you longer."
At their last meeting, she says you can take what you want from her house (of course I'd already looted that thing earlier).
Instructions unclear; ended up in Wuhan, China.
Don't forget to collect the rare animals only accessable in that location, like the Wuhan bat
F..k u😂😂😂
Holy crap RUN! 🤣
Hunt bats until you make them go extinct in there, in a century or so, arthur will become a hero
There is an old Tibetan expression..".He's not much of a horse if he can't carry you up a steep slope.....and you are not much of a man if you won't walk him down one"....see if that increases your bonding with the horse.
youmaus Wow that’s beautiful
I thought the expression was " you pay, we carry bags"
@@nomad-81-25 That's up where the air is too thin for horses. If you use yaks as pack animals they will take you from about 10,000 ft up to 20,000 feet, after that it's Sherpas.

Shesez, come on
Google Maps: "Keep going west until you start flying."
For those who are having problems, another video showing border between blurry and non-blurry land: th-cam.com/video/4y6si8WBDMY/w-d-xo.html
I am very sick to read...pls give video..muahahahahahaha
