I've been on plenty of vacation trips where not much went right for the photos I had in mind. However, I still had lots of fun taking snaps and just enjoying what was going on around me. Thanks for reminding us all to find the positive in the journey no matter what happens.
I holidayed in elie every year as a kid and its amazing how it hasn’t changed I actually started taking photos there which set me on my journey as a photographer thanks for your channel I’m enjoying your adventures a great deal
Ah my Sunday what's Kim going to do today fix sorted. Although my photography is mostly wild life landscape is still important to me as I like to paint landscapes In watercolour which is where channels like yours come in.
Kim, at least it's in Scotland. A while back we did a cruise down the Beagle Passage. We were fortunate because the weather was super and that meant we could land on Cape Horn. (One of the American passengers told us that friends of hers had done the trip 3 times and it wasn't until the third one that they were able to land. Well, that's only a 'hop' down from the Northern Hemisphere whereas we live halfway around the globe. Needless to say the lighthouse isn't as tall as this one otherwise it'd not survive the elements.
Good message and some beautiful images - I actually like the lighthouse showing the light - too often missed in this type of photography. It tells its own story. Also like the shot of the spray from the rocks - a keeper for sure. Cheers!
Hit the nail on my head with this vlog lol, went out this morning, got so wet didn't even get camera out of the bag, the positive is, that i now know the location and the compositions i want, there is always a next time, Thanks Kim, Regards Russ
You have a great philosophy on the subject, so many time I've been to a location and come away with nothing on the SD card. Either the muse didn't pay a visit or everything about the place seemed wrong. It's very disheartening and frustrating! Thank you for the inspiration to not give up.
Enjoyable vlog as always. 😉 I love a few miles along the coast from Elie in Kirkcaldy, although I get the odd good sunset I prefer going to the beach for the rough weather /water for my images. Never let the weather inhibit you. 😉
Hi Kim I recently watched your northern lights video and i love the northern lights but i live in England. I wanna try and see the northern lights in Scotland if i can bit im scared im gonna be disappointed if i don't find them Do you have any tips on catching the northern lights?
Good morning Kim! Yet another great video - I really like your introductions to these! I know it's your ambition to photograph every lighthouse in Scotland and you mentioned at one point how many there are but I've forgotten. Could you refresh my memory please? How many have you photographed and how many have you still to do? Thanks Kim. Well done again!

What a lovely spot to start photography. I'd never been to Elie before. Such a lovely area :)
Spot on with the point of, you can always come back. When I get bad weather, I Count it as a scouting trip.
Great video! I also know the „bad light situation“ and often go to spots more than once. :)
Very inspirational video Kim 👍
