I got confused here beacuse it is pic list type field with values mention in it though they are not visible to leave creator during leave submittion.How this can be achieved like values not visible but will be populated after approvers action. I didn't understand one thing. I set up an approval process, then I went with a user into the record, edited the record and clicked the button to submit the 'approval. I logged in with the approver and rejected the request. However, the changes made remained. How come?

I tried to do that but my salesforce platform user is not able to see the approval requests in a queue. Import wizard supports few standard objects(Accounts,contacts,leads,solutions) and all custom objects. Please let me know if you are facing issue even if you are trying to import records in to the objects mentioned above. Use workbench or Dataloader in case of other standard objects.

@@mahidharreddy3618 Then write a validation rule, if status field is rejected, !isChanged(datefield)=true, then show error "You cannot modify the data except for date". This will not let user to save any field other than date once the status='Rejected'... you can add profile name in validation rules in case this restriction should only happen for specific users.

Very good explanation with examples. However, all tie to specific manager and vp, so if enterprise has many roles and levels of hirachey, how can we make universal approval process by using role? That way it would be one process across the enterprise and not have to create person specific approval process. Assume a change like Alina got promoted and new manager comes in her place, the process breaks, isn't it?

how do create that submit for approval button sir,I tried default page button using administrator link but it seems not working ,and also in approval process page I tried to click activate button it's does not move to active status ,it's remain in inactive status, anyone kindly help me out

If any profile in the hierarchy is missing, how it will skip to the next stage
When do we use outbound message ? The option is there with field update and email alert ?
