    first two weeks for me were torture, i couldn’t even move and felt so so sick. possibly caused by concussion or nerve damage? docs cant tell, all i know is i hit my head and now we ringing baby haha, anyways i have just accepted that this is my life now (this helped so much), and as i did that, all of my physical symptoms went away anf the ringing is SO much quieter. i have accepted that it may be forever, if it goes away, cool.. but i actually have been able to see that managing stress and keeping busy/active are the key.. this seems like a win/win.. stay positive, and if you are having it bad right now.. just RELAXxxxx, atop thinking, just stop, breathe, settle into your body and MOVE it, i promise you, that will make it better and managable, never thought i would say that a week ago i promise you, it may take a few mins or hours but you got this.. also stick to vids like this and stay off of the negative online forums, it is linked immediately to stress and gets better w positivity

    Thank you for this video. I'm 46. I developed tinnitus in March of 2020 in my left ear. I had a doctor check my ear. She said that she had it too. She had all the tests, and her doctors could find nothing. For her, one day it went away. So...for me....I have my good days and bad days. Sometimes it's loud. Sometimes it's faint or sometimes it disappears. I'm female. I found that taking a daily iron supplement has helped. I'm working on drinking more water and eating better.

    I suddenly developed tinnitus about 5 years ago (mine is more like a loud electrical buzz). It made me question my sanity, as well. Went to a hearing specialist, thinking my ears were full of wax (they were not) and found out I had severe hearing loss in both of my ears (which probably explains why I talk so loudly). I was shocked, really. The audiologist said it is pretty common (about 1 in 6 people have it), and the number one cause (according to him) is hearing loss, although not the only cause. I have also learned to live with it (no other choice). For me, keeping busy while I’m awake, and having a fan, or playing rain sounds at night, helps. Interesting... it had not occurred to me that my diet might have an effect on how bad it gets, but I definitely am aware of it being much louder at times (which can make it hard to focus). I will have to start monitoring my food intake and compare it to the times it gets worse. Thanks for that tip! #tinnitus

      Hi, I just told the youtuber tinnitus is very cureable, I went through the same horrific thing and was not willing to live with it, I had also developed hyperaccusis and tinnitus. It took so much hard work, patience and kept watching Liam Boehms testimonials, were times I thought to give up but rule of thumb is, if tinnitus can be reduced in the ear it could be cured. You have hope but unfortunately as an MD myself, doctors learn protocols and sell medicines. They will never help unless they are smart. Hope it helps

    I work in a very loud warehouse and after my tinnitus started I began to wear ear plugs regularly which obviously made me only hear ringing. This sort of had an unexpectedly positive effect on me I think by helping me habituate. I really had to sit with the noise really just accept it and hear it and continue doing life. Also when I didn't wear my ear plugs it was literally less noticeable than it just had been so it was almost like hey real life is better haha. It still gets to me sometimes, but there is usually other stuff going on and I'm sort of at my max bandwidth with everything when that's happening.

    • @adnanzia9167
      @adnanzia9167 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@lukehasideas The fact you said in your video certain foods make it worse is also true that if you take your whole eating life seriously, the body will heal. Another rule of thumb is that if you felt an improvement whilst eating healthy then there is no reason you can reduce it further and further until it goes away. It was very hard especially seeing people on the internet habituating or trying to cope but not me. I was willing to anything to cure it. I am studying my MD and during one of lectureres we talked about autophagy, allowing the body to heal. So along with Liam Boehms advice, so this is what I did every dayand there are no if or but's, you want to get rid if it then do this, Every day you must sleep early (switch of your mobile wifi and router at night), switched of my mobile phone and left it on a table away from me. Breakfast, around 3 fried eggs with runny yellow, also around 8 pieces of beef liver(do not over cook, so it is soft) cooked lightly in olive oil. It has very potent in B vitamins, also A, D, C and E and other amazing vitamins and minerals, perfect for healing the brain. before lunch time make you sure you have drank around half litre of water but not from tap. Lunch time, grilled salmon and lamb chops, just what your comfortable eating and dinner time or last meal, more meat, you can have chicken again grilled, even cooked with skin so it id not dry. You can even have steak with fat on it as fat is good for the brain. During this time do some exercises, running, going to the gym etc, getting sunlight. I repeat do not put anything on food and eat absolute nothing else. If you must have some vegetables have a little of baked potato. Food will be bland, no salt, chillis, mayo or any other food items. Just stick to what I have told you, do this for a few weeks and then on Monday morning do not eat or drink anything until 6pm. Also do not eat at least 3 hours before bed. You will struggle if you cannot resist but for me, I was willing to try anything, in 3 months, noise got less, in the morning I woke up myself and it was not the noise. It was unbelieveable, then a few minutes of waking up, it would start again but not as heavy. The fact that I heard pure silence for a 30 seconds or so made me soooo happy, and my family was happy. As you improve, it may get louder then move around in your head, almost like its bouncing around in different parts of the brain inside. Spoke to Liam about this and said it was a sign it was improving, because any change means its cureable, at this point my hyperaccusis had gone. However there was a point, where I started ate a bit of junk food and it came back not as loud though, so I continued and then went away. I cannot express how happy I was, all those people who say you cannot get rid if it, cannot change their habbits or do not realise the foods we eat cause inflammation in the brain. Now it is gone, I went heavy stopped absolutely everything and yeah, here I am so happy. When it goes away or you literally do not hear it anymore, just keep at it for another 6 months, the fact it has gone dramatically reduced is a clear indicator it is cureable. Any questions let me know, and I know for sure you will cure it without doubt

    Your story is my story. I avoid alcohol and other sugars. I drink decaf and eat better snacks... like unsalted almonds (2 pounds for 10 bucks at Costco). Tumeric tea is good too. Bottom line, anti-inflammatorys, good... inflammatorys and diuretics, bad!! Hearing aids are a must, as well. $1500 at Costco. Before the diet change, it was like the emergency broadcast tone in my right ear. Today, it's a faint dog whistle in the left ear and a low refrigerator hum in the right. I sleep like a baby to it and if it ever goes away, I'll kind of miss it!! It's been with me for so long, it's part of me!

    I have mild tinnitus but no hearing loss apparently. It's ok now, but I don't want to make it worse. Did you avoid any loud environments like concerts? Did you ever use ear protection at the gym? I've stopped going to the gym for now, thinking about bringing ear plugs or ear muffs

    • @lukehasideas
      @lukehasideas  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I've avoided loud exposure to some extent: Construction zones, concerts, fire alarms get an instant ear covering, etc. Ear protection is a must in appropriate cases: Using firearms, at the gym if you feel the clank of weights is too sharp and loud, drumming, and in most work meetings (satire, but would improve lifestyle happiness for sure).
      When in doubt, use the earplugs. Don't let anyone shame you for it, you'll be the one with hearing late in life.

      Two tones, right ear louder than left ear, also feels... deeper in that ear than the left one. If the sounds were puddles, the right ear's puddle would be wider and deeper than the left ear's: That's how it feels, when I call it pressure, the sensation and ringing feels deeper on the right side, along with the volume increase.

    Hi Luke My sudden tinnitus and hyperacusis started about 6 weeks ago. I also have ear pressure too. When you said your pressure gets worse are you able to pop your ears to get relief? I think Im having problems with my eustacian tube and I was wondering if you have the same sensation of not being able to pop your ears to relive the pressure. Any hyperacusis for you? Or muffled hearing?

    • @lukehasideas
      @lukehasideas  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Oh man, sometimes sudden noises, not particularly loud, but fairly above normal volume, will cause my head/ears to ring and feel like a subtle form of a flashbang grenade, sensation-wise. Imagine a toddler screeching excitedly or dropping a metal mixing bowl on the ground, for example. I wouldn't say it causes pain, but I definitely seek out a quiet spot to just... blink and relax a little afterward.
      Googling other symptoms of hyperacusis, I definitely notice and get bothered by certain background noises much easier than my wife does. Washing machines, dogs barking incessantly, get under my skin if I let them. Not sure if that counts, though.
      If my wife speaks too softly, I can't understand her. As if my ears are stuffed with a blanket, just because the ringing is the right volume/pitch to cancel out enough of the speech into inaudibility. Whispers I pick up fine, but low enough volume? She might as well be speaking gibberish for all I understand. :-/
      Third example, she could hear our kids crying 30 miles away, I swear. She'll hear them roll over at night, I hear nothing. However, a stiff curtain hitting an open window the same distance away, she can't hear but I can. My super power is ringing ears that pick up background sound effects, but cancels out the sounds of my family. Bum deal. ha!
      I hope you find relief!
