Great video Eric! I plan to go to Shelter Cove in a few weeks with my art materials to do some painting. Currently I don't have the stamina for the hike, but I so appreciate you taking us along on your journey. Beautiful work!
I have gone up on that coast probably 12 times. But I never have gone Solo!! Impressive. Thats Badass up there on your own!!! I have seen bears and big Cats Thanks for your great video
This video was such a delightful treat to watch. I didn't expect to be engrossed the entire time but I was. I wish I could do a trip like this myself, but don't think my arthritic joints would hold up. Your video is the next best thing to actually being there. Thank you for capturing this absolutely gorgeous place.
U should maybe get a blanket for your tent or wind blocker, it looks absolutely beautiful there , were on the other coast , 🏝 its extra warm & pretty , ☀️🍊🥭
No water to be found (aside from snow). I carried my water for that portion - though I know there are some rivers/springs if you were looking to do a more full King Range traverse.
@@ericmeyer315 ok nice. I was curious because we are doing this in February. I would assume the crossing should be relatively similar water level for just a months difference.
Just watched your video. Great capture and shared info👍 loved it! Thank u😎 Did you have any cell phone service out there? Just thinking in case of an emergency. Ty🙃
Yes, permits are required; you can find them here: www.recreation.gov/permits/72192. At the moment they are rather hard to come by, so your best bet might be to hope for someone else to cancel

37:38 in this area after crossing big flat creek there is an abandon beach house. Did you see it? You can see it on google maps.

Is that a dispersed campsite?
Awesome video. What was the water situation up on Spanish Ridge?
No water to be found (aside from snow). I carried my water for that portion - though I know there are some rivers/springs if you were looking to do a more full King Range traverse.
Hey Eric, love the vid! What time of year did you go?
I hiked this in early March!

@@johnsmithallday50 I think it totally depends on recent weather conditions - it stormed very heavily the days leading up to my trip.

What kind of camera did you use?

Very nice. Is a permit needed?

@@ericmeyer315 thanks
Do they have permit checkpoints
@@manchildx277 Not necessarily, as far as I know. Just rangers patrolling. I don't recommend going without a permit!
