Nice job. You may need a p-channel mosfet after the igbt to prevent reverse current damage. As the washer powers through the agitation, it'll encounter a ton of reverse flux.

yes, it can be used with 400V dc but I suggest you to go up to 350V dc link with the IR2110 driver IC. if you want to go still higher than need a different type of driver circuit. whatever we have tried that was manually soldered. so giving higher voltage can lead to burning of the device or driver.

actually, we have used software dead band. we are using the STM32f407VG controller. which is providing facility to generated Inverter pulse with the required amount of dead band timing.it was 1.2 usec . and we have designed same dead band circuit and it was working fine..

yes.. it is quite possible. you can use ADC channel to give input of modulation index (which is proportional with voltage and frequency ). you can use VARIAC NOBE to change it. that is also available in our circuit. you can see in video at 7:46 time . parrallel to switch one nobe is connected. we can use it when we want analog control of drive.

good question. we have used IGBT. and IR2110 IGBT driver is used to drive 1 lag of inverter. such three IR2110 Driver IC required to operated 6 igbt (3 LAG of Inverter (each lag contain two igbt.)) please explore more about IR2110.
you can design deadband circuit using NAND gate, registor and capacitor.. AS Shown in OUR VIDEO AT 5:43 time. or recently advanced controller have PWM TIMER-> This type of timer are PROVIDING advance compare operation and can generate COMPLIMENTED PWM PULSE with predefined DEAD BAND TIME. WE have utilized the PWM TIMER FROM controller STM32F407vg.

actully we using SPWM for GENERATING output voltage. where switching frequency is 5kHZ. so it is having very small switching time. so i requied 1 us dead band. if you are puting higher dead band. it will reduce your output voltage. no other complication . you have to compromise with output voltage reduction
yes it will work. but your output votlage will reduce considerably. because if your output voltage having frq. 50 hz than ur SQUAREWAVE will have 20ms time period. so ur output votlage will reduces by (2/20 times.)....!!! :)

Great job 😍 , my friend I want to tell you that I was planning to do a variable frequency drive for 3 phase induction motor using linear drive especially v/f open loop method , and I'm using ATMEGA 328p to generate the spwm signals to feed the ir2110 which controls the IGBT transistor , and now I'm in the process of building the program , so I was thinking of writing a look-up table for each frequency and voltage and ensure that v/f ratio always constant , can you tell me your thoughts about my project ( should I use a microcontroller like you have used or it's fine write my own code to generate pwm for 3 phase inverter ) , and if you have any information could help me please provided it . Who has commented like you and dedicated to do V/F CONTROL. actully your method to make lookup table is ancient. now in the market to fast controller are avalable with high proccesing speed. which can calculate sine in infraction of the microsecond. so i suggest you to go for STM32F407VG. now a days , STM32 is possible to program using directly from matlab simulink simillar like DSPACE2210(you may have heard name- it is consting 5lac rs aprox) . stm is cheap and quite affordable. till date we have done . 1)all chopper control 2) spwm , svm , (Thi open loop) 3) scallar closed loop control. 4) advance control : DTC AND FOC FOR INDUCTION MOTOR .. as well as PMSM AND BLDC. so better to shift to STM32F407vg. the speed of calculation is more important for making V/F control precisely.
so please go for high speed controller in Arduino environment itself.

Snubber is not used in this circuit because it was not needed for our experiment.
The deadband is better than a freewheel or snubber
