  • In this video i will be going over 6 months of growth with my ornatate snakehead Magnus. 6 months ago i bought two baby snakeheads, i bought a channa ornatipinnis and called it Magnus and i bought a channa pulchra and called it Ethel. Since i bought these two snakeheads i have been uploading weekly updates on my aquariums so you guys have seen them grow over 6 months.
    Snakeheads are famous for growing fast and personally i thought these two snakehead fish would grow more quickly than they have done but i do see them every day and i might not notice these snakehead fish growing.

    Magnus is a channa ornatipinnis and these snakeheads are also known as ornate snakeheads and grow around 25cm/10inches long so this little snakehead really has a lot to grow yet and i will be creating more growth videos for my snakeheads to see how fast these fish really grow.
    I will be doing a similar video like this for my channa pulchra soon as i have kept ethel my channa pulchra for 6 months as well so it will be interesting to see how much she has grown as well. Once i have kept my channa stewartii for six months i will be doing a similar fish growth video for her as well.
    Do you know any fish that grow really quickly in the aquarium?
    Let me know in the comments below?
    Thanks for watching i hope you enjoy :)

    • @TsukiCove
      @TsukiCove  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I'll need quite a bit more space to get a bigger tank so it'll be a little while yet but i think i'd probably get more snakeheads as i love them and they're very low maintenance but i do like wild betta as well so I've been thinking about getting some of them too

    Will magnus' colouration/pattern change any more or is he an adult snakehead now?

    • @TsukiCove
      @TsukiCove  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yeah i agree and their growth has slowed down as i'm keeping the tank colder at the moment but he still has a lot to grow, his fins will get more defined and his body will get more blue and he will eventually get yellow lips. I think he's around a third of the size he will eventually get

    Hi just wanted to ask do you cold weather your fish for winter?. do you use a heater. Just that I do not use a heater and I let the temperature fluctuate with the British weather. Within six months, my fish is 6 inches or thereabouts.
