Welcome to the wonderful world of Lovebites! Arguably the best heavy metal band in the world, male or female, no lie. They have a deep catalog of excellent live concert performances. Their fans, the Wolfpack, will likely put you way over the 1K subs. The two guitarists are two of the best twin lead guitar duos in the business. One of them is a world class classical concert pianist and composer.

Great reaction, this is a real band, all the girls have incredible talent, they compose, write and arrange their music, I love Babymetal but they are something different from the rest of the Japanese bands. Lovebites play different genres Metal, thrash, power, speed and others and in their discography there are no bad songs. I love this band, thank you for your reaction!🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🐺💖🇯🇵🇮🇹

LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics:
The blue moon colors the blaze
    Stabbing myself with the thunder
    The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and a fearless smile
    Flowing blood and crimson blade
    Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
    Who’s going to be sacrificed?
    ON FIRE
    Just like a falling flower
    ON FIRE
    Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell
    Distorted madness is sneering
    Incompetent, cowardly fools
    A pitiful and painful punishment
It’s you who will be sacrificed
    ON FIRE
Dressed in an armor of steel
    ON FIRE
If I’m burned again and again
I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell
    The blue moon colors blaze
    Stabbing myself with the thunder
    The predetermined imitation
    An emotionless and fearless smile
    Flowing blood and crimson blade
    Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
    Who’s going to be sacrificed?
    ON FIRE
    Just like a falling flower
    ON FIRE
    Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell

Thanks for the reaction! LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy , power , thrash metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians, such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list).
LOVEBITES is a Japanese female power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass, backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese female rock band to perform at the festival. Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in both Donington (UK) and Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts.
LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! For 5 years they have recorded about 50 songs and all the songs are very good!
🐺Miho - bass, backing vocals (in August 2021 she left the band).
    🐺Haruna - drums.
    🐺Midori - guitars, backing vocals.
🐺Miyako (Mi-Ya)- guitars, piano, keyboards, backing vocals.
    🐺Asami - lead vocals, piano.
🐺Miho started playing bass in high school. Great bass player! The fact that such a wonderful band appeared is, first of all, the merit of Miho. She came up with the idea of starting a band and what kind of music the band would play, a combination of power metal and "old school" heavy metal. Miho was able to find and unite all these talented ladies in LOVEBITES.
🐺Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen.
Haruna is the smallest (4 '9 ") , but appearances are deceiving. When Haruna sits down at the drums, this is the "little BIG Engine." She is one of the best drummers in Japan.
🐺Midori (blond hair) has been playing the piano since she was two years old and the electric organ since she was eight. She started studying guitar at the age of 20. Super guitarist, "Crazy Shredder". She surpasses many male guitarists in speed and technique of playing the guitar.
Graduated from ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka , GIT-DX department (superfast guitar department). ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka is an international music school , headquartered in Hollywood, California, USA.
🐺Miyako (black hair) has been playing the piano since the age of three, received a classical education (piano) and wanted to pursue a career as a pianist. She has been playing the guitar since the age of 18. Super guitarist! They call her "The Golden Touch" and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the band, she wrote over 50% of the music.
    * In terms of teamwork , synchronization and harmonization of guitars , Midori and Miyako today are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in the world playing metal. One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same band is a crime!😊
🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started ballet lessons at the age of two. After leaving school, Asami lived for some time in the US, where she came to study jazz and hip hop dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs.
All songs LOVEBITES are written in English. Unlike other metal bands, LOVEBITES are always on stage in white dresses . White dresses are their style. The Wolf is the mascot of LOVEBITES and is featured on all band's albums except the first EP "The Lovebites". The band's fans call themselves the 🐺Wolfpack🐺

Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics.
They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters.
This is a sort of "dive in the deep end" choice for a first reaction to them. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out:
    “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, from the same recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies” as "Set the World on Fire";
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
    Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html;
    “Holy War”: th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html
Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html.
For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” th-cam.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/w-d-xo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
    "When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html
    "Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html
    "Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!

Also all Lovebites fans might be interested in a voting on Baka Broadcast's TH-cam channel. We're still at the nomination phase, but both Miyako and Mao should be in the running in the next round. Chime in if you want to support them (or nominate someone else). But vote strategically and respect the rules.

A 'signature' feature of LOVEBITES is a solo each, almost always a duet. 50 original songs in 5 years.

Welcome to the world of Japanese rock and metal. Japan has so much more to offer than Baby Metal and a large number of the most talented bands happen to be all female. A little more than 2 years ago I discovered an all female band called Band-Maid that just blew me away. Before Band-Maid the only Japanese band I had listened to consistently was Maximum The Hormone (I had ignored the whole Baby Metal craze). After listening to Band-Maid, I took a deep dive into Japanese rock and metal. I soon discovered Lovebites through their mv of Rising. I honestly thought they were too good to be true so I decided to watch a video of a live performance. After watching them live, I now had a clear top two Japanese bands - Band-Maid and Lovebites. A few bands came close like Unlucky Morpheus, Asterism, Crystal Lake and of course Maximum The Hormone, but no other all female bands. That changed when I saw an all female band do a cover of Iron Maiden's Aces High. I instantly fell in love. That band is Nemophila. Now I have a clear top three Japanese bands. Since then a couple of other all female bands have really impressed me - Gacharic Spin and Hanabie. I have only mentioned a small number of the many very talented Japanese bands. The rabbit hole is not just deep, it is wide.
I suggest you do two or three more Lovebites reactions and then decide if you want to take the big dive into Japanese rock/metal. If you do, I guarantee that you will not be sorry. As for the next Lovebites songs, I suggest these -
    Break The Wall - th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html
Edge of the World - th-cam.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/w-d-xo.html

@@ebm-everythingbutmainstream I very much agree about The Warning. Let me add another band to this group. Before discovering The Warning or diving into Japanese rock, the only all female band that I listened to on a regular basis was Nervosa from Brazil. Unfortunately Nervosa fell apart in early 2020. The longtime bassist/vocalist Fernanda Lira and the drummer Luana Dametto formed a new band called Crypta. They immediately added guitarist Taina Bergamaschi and recently added a second guitarist Jessica di Falchi. Crypta are the current Death Metal Queens.

You want more girl metal bands? Japan has had an active all-girl metal scene since at least 1981. There are hundreds of all-female or female-led bands, and a lot of them are bona-fide monsters. Here are a few you should really check out:
Show-Ya (1981 The original female J-metal band, founded before Metallica-this is from their 24th (!) anniversary concert-and they are still touring) They belong in any rock or music hall of fame: “I am the Storm” th-cam.com/video/oJ_5Gv3vFjQ/w-d-xo.html
Aldious (2008 Glamorous and kick-ass rockers-one of the first generation all-girl metal bands, along with Destrose) th-cam.com/video/sfkJT0rra-8/w-d-xo.html
Band-Maid (2013 OK, there are 130+ great songs by them. Here is a live clip): th-cam.com/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/w-d-xo.html
Bridear (2011 Heavy, technical-and their tiny bassist also growls): th-cam.com/video/LQIDqudG_DQ/w-d-xo.html
Doll$Boxx (2012 Insane mix of metal, electropop, and god-knows what else; a collaboration between Fuki and Gacharic Spin) th-cam.com/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/w-d-xo.html
Hagane (2018 Started with Sakura posting blistering metal guitar covers on youtube while in high-school, and the rest of the girls finding her; full lineup came together in 2019)
    th-cam.com/video/k8NTRJ_yTxY/w-d-xo.html
Hanabie (2019 Kawaii death metal, deathcore, thrash. Technical. Most frequent comment is “That’s nuts.” One of the bands to watch in 2021) th-cam.com/video/G18yyvPCiTM/w-d-xo.html
Mary's Blood (2008 The first major Destrose Spin-out; recently disbanded) Here, Saki murders her guitar without breaking any nails: th-cam.com/video/MLM2unV0kwU/w-d-xo.html
Nemophila: (2019 Supergroup of ex-Mary's Blood guitarist Saki, ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu, ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki, ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam.) th-cam.com/video/lh-dVLKP314/w-d-xo.html
Unlucky Morpheus (2008 Female leads Fuki (vo) and Jill (violin). This band is a deep well unto itself, they cross many subgenres of metal; Fuki and Jill also do other projects and Fuki is lead for at least two other bands including Doll$Boxx, above) th-cam.com/video/gGKWgM4IOgc/w-d-xo.html
Wagakki Band (2012 Folk-Metal fusion band, all jedi-level musicians, half of them play traditional Japanese instruments and the other half play standard metal instruments) This song was originally written for a virtual (AI) singer, referred to as a Vocaloid
    th-cam.com/video/Q2meWkWqc-I/w-d-xo.html
I have a much longer list if you decide to go down the rabbit hole. You’ll never get to all of them, but it’s a good reference to have. Just let me know.

I say nothing against Baby Metal. I'll probably go to one of their concerts if the opportunity arises - The Kami Band in the background are great musicians, but all men.

Lovebites has so much talent that it's almost not fair for the other bands out there. They do a legit cover of Judas Priest's Painkiller. This band excels live, so if you have an option between a MV or a live recording, go live. To get an idea of their range check out Break The Wall (They sound like Slayer in that one). Swan Song [+Chopin Intro] to hear Miyako's piano skills (she's been playing classical piano since she was 3). Holy War and Glory to The World.
Another all female Japanese band to check out, Nemophila - Dissension. Mind. Blowing.🤯

The Wolf is the Spirit Animal of Lovebites, because they see themselves as 'Lone Wolves' - an all female band trying to bring back the roots of 80's-90's Metal, with their OWN twist. Asami (vocals, lyricist), Midori (blond guitarist), Miyako (brunette, guitar, piano, keyboards, keytar, main composer), Haruna (drums - 4'9" Powerhouse whose nickname in the band is 'Little BIG Engine'), Miho (bass) left the band last year (they just finished interviews for a new bass player). Check out Swan Song [+Chopin Intro] th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html (CC Lyrics) to see how Miyako can make Classical Piano work in a Thrash Metal song - and also play a killer guitar solo. Looks like you may have been Lovebitten - you might be in the Wolfpack already 😎 🤘🐺🤘

9:30 I play-along on drums, all songs, attempting to "play" (Haruna-like) one, her song, "Bravehearted" linked in my other comment. I'm not up to hyper-tremolo-picked-palm-muted-arpeggiated-chord-sweeps, YET! Maybe I'll learn one of Miyako's slow Gary Moore-esque solos, like she put in the middle of a THRASH song (!) th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for reacting to amazing Lovebites and spreading the word; they deserve more recognition. Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. They really shine in their live performances. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years.
Currently the band is in the process to announce the new bassist. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestions are “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Holy war”, “Shadowmaker”, “Raise some hell”, “Scream for me”, “When destinies align”, “The crusade”, “Frozen serenade”, “Spellbound”, “Don’t bite the dust”, “Winds of Transylvania”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue”. For piano: “Swan song”, “Empty daydream” (all live).
    Lineup:
    Haruna - Drums
Miho - Ex Bass, backing vocals
Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals
Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
When playing drums, Haruna wears red sneakers.

Just an appreciation. Never cease to amuse me see a lot of people thinking that "Babymetal is the born of Japan´s metal"
Metal have a long history in Japan, starting fron the 80th with legendary bands like X-Japan or Show-Ya (both still active), but algo a huge amount of all-female bands with even an anual event about them.
The list of all-female bands in rock and metal y Japan is really huge, not to mention vocalist, but the music scene in Japan is sometime kind of... maybe volatile is the word (english aren´t my native language, bear with it). A lot of band are formed and break up. A lot of artists are in more than one band. As a fact, Lovebites comes from another popular metal band who breaks in 2015: Destrose. The drummer and bass of this band made Lovebites.
Again, there´s a lot of artists and bands in Japan, but only a few are know outside their country. They have the language barrier and a huge internal market, about 125 millions. Also until a little time ago, buy an album from Japan was very difficult and expensive. Again, even now you can find only a little fraction of the music scene in Japan here in the west.
And a lot of times, the level of professionalism and proficiency of their musicians is astounding.
Just thing this, in Japan is almost compulsory to learn an instrument in High School, the music formation can starts in kinder. There´s millions of people who know how to play an instrument, so the talented ones are the ones who goes to musicians as a profession.
The guitar player with black hair is also a pianist... a classic pianist. The ones who goes to competitions, the blonde one also plays piano from a very early age.
There´s a lot of great band in Japan, only recently thanks to TH-cam and other tools people starts to know them.
If heavy metal is your cup of tea, must try with bands like Aldious, Nemophila, Trident, Mary´s Blood, Bridear and of course, the oldest one: Show-Ya

Good reaction, but there is no similarity to Babymetal at all beside being all females and japanese. Babymetal is an idol group that has a metal backing band behind it while Lovebites is a metal band. This song is a mix of thrash and power metal (thrash riff and verse, power metal chorus and solo) but they do a lot of other genres.
The solos are pretty crazy, they basically did tremolo picking, tapping, pick taping, whatever that pick slide was, sweep picking, alternate picking, harmonized solos lol, they just put everything there

I got into Lovebites about 2 years ago and I cannot get enough of them. They play all the styles of metal I love from old-school metal to power metal to thrash. There are so many layers to them. The talent level of each member is off the charts insane. Too bad the bass player, Miho, left the band. I honestly can say there is not a song they play that I dislike. Of course, I like some more than others but they are all great, in my opinion. Any song you pick to react to is a winner. The songs I like to recommend is Break The Wall,. Thunder Vengence, Scream For Me, Edge of the World, and The Crusade and I suggest playing the live versions.

Not sure you can reasonably compare Lovebites with Baby Metal. Baby Metal is essentially a gimmick band, with three (originally) teen pop singers with a backup band of studio musicians. Lovebites however are legit musicians. It's a bit like comparing The Monkees with The Beatles.

@@Tyyppl I've never said that Baby Metal's backup band are not legit musicians. Obviously they are excellent musicians - ALL session/backup musicians are excellent musicians because they would not have been hired if they weren't. But session/backup musicians are not members of Baby Metal. Baby Metal's backup band (now called "Kami Band") have had a total of 17 different individual members since they were formed to be backup to Baby Metal. And not only that, in the early days of Baby Metal, there was also a second backup band (called "Babybones Band") also provided the music for Baby Metal.
REAL bands play their own music. They don't need to hire other backup musicians to support them.
And having said all that, I actually like Baby Metal, just as I like many Monkees songs. But neither band is in the same class as Lovebites or The Beatles.

    • @Tyyppl
      @Tyyppl 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@1970Phoenix Babybones didn't actually provide any music to babymetal. During the time when BABYMETAL used babybones the instrumentals came from a backing track and the babybones members were acting like they played the music since babymetal couldn't afford to have real instrumentalists yet. And no shit babymetal needs to hire people to play the instruments since the girls are doing choreo (pretty hard to dance and play drums at the sametime:D). Doesn't mean that the girls especially Su-metal are any less "legit" musicians (vocalists are also considered to be musicians). Ofcourse it would be better in my opinion if the Kami band members were considered part of babymetal but they have their own projects so I totally get why they are not.

You are right. Half of songs they play are power, thrash, speed metal, but they play all the subgenres and hard rock, ballads. Try this amazing performance. Swan Song with Revolutionary Etude th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html. You need to hold your jaw.

Hell Yea ill sub🤘🤘 Welcome to the best band in metal. Lovebites won the Metal Hammer Golden God Award for Best New Band in 2018. No bad song and if you loved this song your going to absolutely love them to death. I recommend "The Awakening/The Hammer Of Wrath" link th-cam.com/video/otJZPUCwyOM/w-d-xo.html
Personally i dont recommend the comparison to Babymetal. Babymetal isnt really metal. Its a pop group with a metal bad somewhere in the background that they drag around for their shows. What Lovebites is, is an actual metal band and writes their own material. Lovebites to Babymetal is like comparing Gwen Stefani to Megadeth. Yes from the same country but 2 different genres of music

. . . Babymetal vibes? From Lovebites? Huh. I don't get that one. Also, while I haven't heard Asami detail all of her vocal training, I'm sure that opera, actual opera, is something that she hasn't trained in. I don't think she's classically trained, either. In the chorus, she's just belting with some vibrato and doing it well. Miho, the bass guitarist who sadly left the band in August of 2021 for undisclosed reasons, is like me in that she is heavily influenced by the playstyle and mannerism of Steve Harris. At the end of LOVEBITES' shows, she would throw out picks even though she doesn't use them. Midori, the blonde guitarist, and Miyako, the brunette guitarist, use those guitars when the song is in drop D. Haruna, the drummer, is a tireless, tiny human drum machine with incredible precision.

You've just barely tasted what is IMHO the best metal band to come along in many many years. Not just because of the musicianship, but also the songwriting, which beats out all other metal bands currently writing new material. My advice is go check out more and spread the word. You will no doubt be getting many suggestions from the Wolfpack (the Lovebites fanbase) in the next few minutes.
But please stop with the comparisons to Babymetal. Lovebites is a heavy metal band. Babymetal is an idol group. Really apples 'n oranges.

Hmm...you must be aware that there is a lot of animosity against Babymetal in the japanese bands scene. I guess most of us enjoy both acts, and more of them, but there is usually some gatekeep happening. If you mention them in a Band Maid, Lovebites video some people will get pissed.
Lovebites takes more inspiration in overseas metal classics, but sure there is musicianship given by their context that also affect how the bands sound. Japanese metal bands that both bands grew listening and in the end it affects the sound. I don't think they would get offended if someone compares them to BABYMETAL, for example Midori (first solo, dark skin, blonde hair) favorite guitarist player from Japan is Leda Cygnus, one of the three guitar players that have been playing for BM them since 2013.
    Check...Holy War from them.

The BABYMETAL formula is Idol Pop + Death Metal, i.e., BABYMETAL are an Idol Pop trio singing Heavy Metal songs and dancing while backed by the Kami Band. They are nothing like any other Japanese Metal band.
You want to listen to NEMOPHILA next. They are an up and coming Japanese, all-female, extremely versatile Heavy Metal five-piece. Try DISSENTION, REVIVE, or ADABANA.

Female, asian = Babymetal vibes. The classic. Not complaining, kinda understandable if you aren't aware that a huge part of Japanese rock/metal is female. But still funny how often that is the first comment.
