The sad thing is the Grammys aren’t about the best music it’s about the most popular cardi has hit songs so the people who vote see 3 mainstream hit songs and vote for it while there are albums like swimming that doesn’t get much to any radio play but is an amazing artistic album and will get over looked because it’s not as popular and/or doesn’t have any singles on the charts

Glad his drug dealers got prison time for selling him fentanyl laced pills. No, he shouldn't have been buying stuff but he apparently trusted those people and then he died hours later. I pray for all addicts to find the light and get the help they need before it's too late. It's NEVER too late to get help!!

Only recently been introduced to Mac Miller by my daughter and at 61 years old I absolutely love the guy! I found my groove again and I have this young man's music to thank for it. So sad he isn't still around to add to his catalogue of music but one thing is for sure he's already a legend in my eyes.
What really speaks about the type of person/musician Mac was is when he stops singing, he just watches the band do their thing, jamming out to it and appreciating their talent too (3:14 and onward). What a great guy. Wish I could have gotten to know him personally.

The way he steps back and admires HIS work. He made himself proud by making an album for himself and you can see how much it means too him when he watches tha band in this performance and also in the Tiny Desk when he’s clearly immersed in the sound of his songs while he performs them.
I always noticed that about him in the Tiny Desk, and admired the fuck out of it. This is someone who loved music sooo much,, every instrument he learned to play himself and truly loved the live bands. It's really rare to see such passion in artists with their work now. Since the 5th grade that's all she could or would talk about was Mac Miller!! She met him twice and cried happy!! Since Sept 7th he remains up on her phone screen. And she doesn't like to talk about him, she cries. I've listened to every album of his now for over a month and I now get it!! Such a beautiful musician who loved his music!! As a 47 yr old, you know talent when you hear it. He gave my son and I a common music interest. Was doing great things and truly sad the world will not be able to enjoy his further evolution and maturation as a musician and person.

Watching some of the videos from early on, and even later in his life, he was special, far more so then most famous people, so sad people like him leave thus earth too early.

Swimming truly is the best musical album to come out this year. and this was after a lot of self debate, revisiting and thought. its the definition of music as an ART. a majority of the lyrics except for certain hooks were freestyled just like they have been from the beginning. he did the full production even wrote the sheet music. and the entire album relates to itself entirely. not to mention. no features. it truly is a great musical feat. more than can be said by any albums released this year.

Mac Miller was a different generation to me but I was alway impressed with his embrace of the roots of the culture he performed in, this can be seen by the amount of affection shown by his peers when he passed. The fact someone so immensely talented, successful and insightful lost the fight with addiction show the insidious nature of the illness. There is always a bit of warm melancholy listening to him now, maybe that's just because I was a lot older than him when he passed and the wasted potential hits harder. RIP

Man I totally get now why when my two 20 year olds called me that day!! I really never listened too much to his music, but i knew what he meant to my kids, especially my oldest daughter. Since the 5th grade that's all she could or would talk about was Mac Miller!! She met him twice and cried happy!! Since Sept 7th he remains up on her phone screen. And she doesn't like to talk about him, she cries. I've listened to every album of his now for over a month and I now get it!! Such a beautiful musician who loved his music!! This album was one of my favorites!! I've played this song and video so many times I lost count!! As well as "My Favorite Part" with Ariana Grande. Watching some of the videos from early on, and even later in his life, he was special, far more so then most famous people, so sad people like him leave thus earth too early.

Swimming truly is the best musical album to come out this year. and this was after a lot of self debate, revisiting and thought. its the definition of music as an ART. a majority of the lyrics except for certain hooks were freestyled just like they have been from the beginning. he did the full production even wrote the sheet music. and the entire album relates to itself entirely. not to mention. no features. it truly is a great musical feat. more than can be said by any albums released this year.

Still one of my very favorite performances ever. I come back every once in a while because it makes me so happy with those horns, backup singers, and Mac totally feeling the entire song.
Mac Miller was a different generation to me but I was alway impressed with his embrace of the roots of the culture he performed in, this can be seen by the amount of affection shown by his peers when he passed.
The fact someone so immensely talented, successful and insightful lost the fight with addiction show the insidious nature of the illness.
There is always a bit of warm melancholy listening to him now, maybe that's just because I was a lot older than him when he passed and the wasted potential hits harder. RIP

Circles is fantastic, his least “rap” album to date, but it still feels 100% authentic Mac

Man, the world just doesn't feel the same without him. This man was two years younger then me, but I looked up to him a lot. I never met him, he didn't know I existed, but he helped me more then a lot of people have. Including people that know me personally. Love you Mac. I hope your up there with X, and Juice, making great music for the angels.

I was supposed to see Mac with my girl, my brother, and his family two days ago. It's been over two months since it happened and I still haven't been able to get past it. I'm heart broken.
Been here once a week since this performance came out, and it never gets old
