You're my favorite TH-cam Reseller. I seriously watch you while I work just to get motivated and inspired. Your advice is terrific and straight to the point. I'm so happy you're getting more followers and hope you never stop making videos because I love them! Happy New Years!
You are the more realistic reseller out there. Many people don't tell the whole story or give you false expectations. You are real and direct! Thanks for that
Thanks Pete. just started my ebay biz a few months ago and am trying hard to learn and also see what I am capable of in my area. Your videos have been encouraging and enlightening. I don't have much to gamble with right now, but those are great items to look for. I am a stay at home mom and want to keep it that way. One of my children has Down Syndrome, so I want to succeed so I can be with her and fund her future. She probably would do well to sell along with me when she is older. Honestly I wish I had started doing this back in 2005 when I left the military. I'm so super excited about this business. Thank you for being a teacher.
I am a part time reseller working out of my spare room closet. Very proud of myself because I profited $1700 in my first year of reselling on eBay! Thanks for all the great knowledge!
Happy New Years! Thanks for the video and inspiration! Just started and actually came close to our goal. Missed it by a few dollars! With the help of your video's our life dramatically changed for the better! This was our first year as an EBAY seller and we are very proud of what we accomplished~ We hope to see some more Milo, Ruby, Adrian, Vicky & of course you. We look forward to seeing more of your videos and thanks again for your hard work and creativity!
Thank you Peter for the Wallace Rose Point mention. My 87 year old mother in law passed last year and there is a set of 12 place settings never. Used. I had never thought of selling them separately..
I also have four high end solid oak Klipsch floor standing front speakers. Two of them are tremendous with great tweeters but it also has front/back super reenforced 12" woofers. I've never seen speakers that include rear woofers.
Nice sales. It is funny to me how much your sales videos blow every other "Big TH-camr" out of the water. There are a lot of big personalities on TH-cam that do a really good job of making it seem like they are such expert resellers. Then you look at their accounts and they are selling all used women's clothes. Nothing wrong with selling that but it is such a big difference to see what a truly knowledgeable and diverse reseller can do when they don't just get stuck selling the same used clothes.
I agree, his knowledge of such a variety of items is really amazing, from tools to knifes to electronics to everything under the sun. Really outstanding understanding of what stuff is worth. I like that he's willing to invest some serious money and hold things for a long period to get his top price out of it. Most people are not willing to do that.
I bought for my self from offer up a CANON t3i rebel / 1 kit lens 2 studio lights a 4ft reflector and bag etc etc. 18 MP AND A 32 GB MEMORY CARD IN IT READY TO USE WITH 3 BATTERIES. mY PICTURES HAVE IMPROVED SINCE THIS FIND.
Explosion Proof Telephones are used almost exclusively in mines, but sometimes they where used in navy ships. Depending on how the phone is hung can tell you a lot. Naval ships usually have very secure hooks for the phone to hang on.
Love the outro song Pete! And I just want to thank you for all the great information that you share. Going full time and scared to death but I’m getting a good education from you tube. Look forward to all you put out. Happy new year!
Great information thanks. I just recently visited estate sale, and found a stereo microscope. Based on a picture from the advertisement for the sale I figured it might be priced out of my range on the first day of sale. I showed up a little late, so figured it might be gone. I showed up, it was still there, and priced low. I sold at just under 5 times what I paid in just a couple of days. Stereo microscopes sell. They don't show up often at a good price, but if they do, buy them.
I would of keep that sealing machine 7:00 not only can you shrink wrap your left over lunch sandwich you can wrap books, dvds and loose parts quick and fast.
I see I really screwed up on a Drinkmaster 727. Sold it for (I ain't a gonna say how low). Let's just say I gave it away. Didn't think it was worth much because it seemed a little floppy. Now I know, if there's ever a next time.
2017 eclipsed my eBay selling goals by about 250% I am a part-time retired school teacher re-seller who only needs to net about $1000.00 per month. Gross sales for my year about $60,000.00 Net between $35,000 to $40,000. Thank you to all you youtube content creators who show us how to sell!
Although I've sold bits and odds on Ebay and Amazon before, mostly books and electronic stuff, your videos have motivated me to return to full-time selling. I should be up and running first of August. I thank you for that. Great motivation!
Thank You Obi-Wan Kenobi! :-) I always pick up at least one good nugget of information from your videos...but usually more! Thank You for sharing your great experiences and knowledge. May 2018 be healthy and prosperous for you, your family, and the great team of people that you work with. You have a great following because of the consistent excellent content you provide.
Great 2017! Nice meeting you in Chicago at the meetup. I am really happy with my sales for 2017. Looking forward to an even bigger 2018. Happy New Year and thanks for all the great info.
If that's your personal collection at home? If so, I'm impressed. I'm a fan & have 8 valuable vintage mint condition Marantz units. I don't want to sell bc I'm attached but if the price was right I'd take it but it'd be much higher than u would shell out.
I sell mostly small investment items. I have had a problem finding higher priced items to sell. When I have found something that sells for good money it's usually just one item and is 1 or 2 hour round trip...which is also a gamble with my time and gas.
I just started selling on Ebay and your videos are great. I have been averaging just about 2K a month but have a goal of making 30K for the year. I am from Wisconsin and cant wait to hit garage sales this spring. I am very intrigued with the dumpster diving... any advice on Where to dumpster dive?
I sell mostly vintage toys and other collectibles, and sales were up 30% over last year, which made it my best year for ebay sales since I started selling on ebay in 1999. Promoted listings and 3 sales during the year of about 1 week duration helped. I try to build my store up to around 1000 items for at least some portion of the year. Happy New Year Pete, and keep up the good work with the videos when you can.
Happy New Year! When I saw the Bell phone, I was wondering do you ever put older antique items to large auction/appraisal sites? I feel those auctions can reach out to a different market.
Happy New Year. As always another fantastic video. My goal for this year is to make smarter buying decisions and to not buy on impulse. A few months ago I bought a huge lot of books at an auction for a thrift store that was going out of business. I got 3500 books for 14.50. While some sold for good money and I've made huge profits, I created a whole lot of work for myself that took so much time that I could have spent making smarter buying decisions. Cheers to a new year and new beginnings.
Keep the haul videos coming. You’ve inspired me to open an eBay store in 2018 with a gross sales goal of $10,000. Hopefully I can make it. I’ll depend on hitting garage sales and thrift stores outside of my regular 9-5. Thanks!
Hi Pete ok once again thanks for sharing your suggestions and encouragement. You had talked about games before that were still sealed....I found a Trivial Pursuit game Master Edition, for 3.99 at a thrift store. I looked it up on eBay and used open ones were going for about $50.00. The one I purchased was still sealed perfect condition. I posted around the holidays but i was doing an auction and just short of reaching my reserve. People would stop bidding, so I lowered the price by 10.00 or so and decided to sell at a fixed price. Seems lot of people don't want to have to go through bidding wars and have to wait, if they really want it. So I posted for 49.00 plus shipping like $11.50 and it sold within a week. I've been taking some of your advice which is wise advice. So I'm sending out today. So I'd say that was a great example of your advice of what to look for etc helped me with this turnover item. Thanks, and Happy New Year !!!
Thank you making all these exciting videos. I enjoyed watching all your videos. You are giving me inspirations to step up my reselling game! My flip profits are about $100 / month or alittle more. Not at your level but hopefully one day I will be there. Again, thank you.
Happy New Year, Pete! I want to comment and say thanks for these vids. This information is invaluable to online resellers. I really like watching the inside workings of your business. I also want to ask about the second store you had to shut down. Did all the work for the second location have any impact on your main store? Thanks again, Pete.
Best of luck in the New Year to you and the gang. Didn't do alot of flipping this year other then a couple of cars, and car parts. Had a few things happen with the family. So next year is changing a lot for me. So I will be doing more full time flipping this coming year. Hear is to a new year, and may everything turn out as aces for all.
Pete, great show, I have a question for you, when you figuring s/h fee, how do you know how much to charge whether going domestic or international? Thanks
love your videos! Pete got a question how many listings would you say someone that does Ebay by themselves should have? i've been usually have about 15-25 but i feel like i need more. let me know what you think
Happy New Year to you Pete! I have NEVER seen anyone selling a LV bag for only $400. How do you get so lucky???!!! I specialize in high end dolls, but am looking to expand. The doll market is really bad right now. Love your shop vlogs. Keep up the good work!
Pete. Do you do buy it now , auction type with reserve, or what ?? I left comment on your video on selling VCRs & Tape decks. I'm the old fart that used to repair those type of things.
Thank you Pete, started ebay 6 months with your video, reached an average of $8000-$9000 sales pm,, wish you a happy new year. Hope to reach average $20000 sales pm Thank you so much!
Packed Magic cards are incredibly expensive and sell really well if it's the right editions, some 90's decks go for so much money and it's worth looking into it. Old Magic videogames as well, u can get 70 to 100€ for the right editions. Happy new year as well!!!
I always comment before the end and miss a point haha. About my sells this year well i started to ebay in November and in 3 months i sold 100 items, i didnt have a goal but im satisfied for my forst time, i guess i'd like to sell 500 to 800 items in 2018, i probably can do that and i plan on stopping cheap stuff and focusing on more high end items now that i have some money on the side for it and the whole year to flee market every week, following your advices actually :)
Question about the Louis Vuitton, I'm a supreme reller and recently have been charging $600 a for a t-shirt, $1000 for a hoodie, etc. You think I should take extra steps for delivery confirmation? I haven't been but i'm wondering if it would be a good idea to start doing so. So far I've never had a problem with Paypal goods and services.
Steven all high dollar items , use signature confirmation. This proves the product was received by the buyer. Also video the handling of product packaging to ship. This helps somewhat to prove what you sent and in what condition you sent it. Expensive items do this. If you don't belong to seller groups on facebook there are numerous ones, some very good. There are thieves who claim they either never received product or did but in poor condition. Then instead of send product back they send back a box full of rocks that weigh the right amount. Also insure the package on expensive items.
Happy New Year from frigid Connecticut, Pete! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, and best wishes for a successful and healthy 2018 to you, your family and the entire Trading Post team ☺🎉🎆
Hey Craigslist Hunter, big fan here...any way to get in touch with you to ask you about some Vintage Stereo equipment I picked up and send you a few pics?
But Pete, how much goes in fees to eBay then to cover all of this? I am thinking it must be a fairly huge percentage. Please correct me if I am wrong....?
You're my favorite TH-cam Reseller. I seriously watch you while I work just to get motivated and inspired. Your advice is terrific and straight to the point. I'm so happy you're getting more followers and hope you never stop making videos because I love them! Happy New Years!
I sell partime right now and took my store from 150 items to 600 consistently. Had a great year, love the channel.
You are the more realistic reseller out there. Many people don't tell the whole story or give you false expectations. You are real and direct! Thanks for that
I resell one item for $100 profit, and I feel like a reselling god. Meanwhile, Pete does 30 flips like this a month at 3x the profit... haha.
I know. He rocks.
Wtf reselling god ? Nadubillah
@@iamamuslim55 that's what I thought.
kapliger what u did think loser ?
Thanks Pete. just started my ebay biz a few months ago and am trying hard to learn and also see what I am capable of in my area. Your videos have been encouraging and enlightening. Amazing year....anyone watching this and setting more modest goals cannot help but be motivated. I know I am. Happy New Year, Pete.
I am a part time reseller working out of my spare room closet. Very proud of myself because I profited $1700 in my first year of reselling on eBay! Thanks for all the great knowledge!

You could try and find a keyboard with a broken Caps lock button as this may also improve your typing :)
Great video Pete!
2017 was a record year also.. started selling on Amazon last year - did $30k on in December.

Wow more of what to watch for this spring when garage sales start up again! Thanks so much for great video!
I'm restoring an Akai 4000 like the one in your cabinet.
I would of keep that sealing machine 7:00 not only can you shrink wrap your left over lunch sandwich you can wrap books, dvds and loose parts quick and fast.
I was thinking the same.
Yep 👍

Happy New Year to you Pete! I have NEVER seen anyone selling a LV bag for only $400. How do you get so lucky???!!! I specialize in high end dolls, but am looking to expand. The doll market is really bad right now. Love your shop vlogs. Keep up the good work!
Great job! What is your profit margin?
Pete, I've heard that ebay makes you go through a 3rd. party authenticator on high end purses before they will let you list it. Is that true? Thanks!
Super cold in Toronto too! Happy New Year! 🎉☺
Super helpful as always! Happy New year!
Thanks Pete, great information.
Thanks Pete for sharing. Happy New Year.
Pete. Do you do buy it now , auction type with reserve, or what ?? I left comment on your video on selling VCRs & Tape decks. I'm the old fart that used to repair those type of things.

But Pete, how much goes in fees to eBay then to cover all of this? I am thinking it must be a fairly huge percentage. Please correct me if I am wrong....?
Great video of items sold and discussion
I wonder if you have access to pawn shop items
Great video! I take my fur coats to local fur stores and ask them to identify the fur for me. They can usually identify it after a quick glance
Great info as always Happy New Year
Didn't have a specific monetary goal but it was a good year...my goal of becoming a full time reseller came true!
Pete are you missing any items you sold over the years? ones you had your heart set on)
