Vincent(Starry, Starry Night) -Don McLean - 1 Hour Loop♡ Lyrics
Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and gray
Look out on a summer’s day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and the daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colors on the snowy linen land
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they’ll listen now
Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflect in Vincent’s eyes of china blue
Colors changing hue
Morning fields of amber grain
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artist’s loving hand
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they’ll listen now
For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life, as lovers often do
But I could’ve told you Vincent
This world was never meant for
One as beautiful as you
Starry, starry night
Portraits hung in empty halls
Frameless heads on nameless walls
With eyes that watch the world and can’t forget
Like the strangers that you’ve met
The ragged men in ragged clothes
The silver thorn of bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they’re not listening still
Perhaps they never will

I like listening to this beautiful song when I go to bed!🎧🎧🎧
❤
Me too
this makes me cry 😪
It makes me personally sad that I've tried my best to share my heart and soul with others, showing care, concern, and compassion. And yet I was discarded and abandoned without care, or so I felt.
"They could not listen, they did not know how."
"They could not love you, but still your love was true."
"This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you."
Maybe in God's perfect time, you will find it. 🙏
Virtual hug 🫂
Lovely 😻😍
It's a great song to listen to anytime

Most people don't get this song the first time they hear it it has a lot of depth
.I was only twelfe years old, when I heard this melody at the first time and had the luck to have a recorder at this time. It was so full f of romance. Now I am enabled to understand the sence of the the words and more and I still get a tear on my cheak full of more.
i’m 12 too, i went to a van gogh exhibit and that was my first time hearing the song and i can’t stop playing it now
Very nice coordination of the lyrics and artwork! But one correction. The line is... No hope was left in sight. And yes, I saw the Interactive Van Gogh Exhibit in NYC. Very nice!
