BOYFRIEND's third mini-album [WITCH] is based on the tale, "The Little Red Riding Hood." The elderly woman with a sly smile is suspicious, but the girl falls into the trap anyway. BOYFRIEND sings about the twisted fate of a guy who inevitably falls in love with a girl. The "witch" theme connects the music to the performance, the music video, and the story. It is surely a memorable production re-interpreting the children's tale into a cruel fable.
The title song [WITCH] portrays the members exactly as they have planned. Though the "Red Riding Hood" theme is shocking enough, BOYFRIEND shows off their color and character with the dynamic song, styles mixing the past and the present, and the performance boasting the group's teamwork. Unlike the early stages of BOYFRIEND when the members were prepped up and dandy, [WITCH] the song and the performance have a deeper, heavier feel to it. BOYFRIEND has stepped up their game and is now fully competitive.

ボーイフレンドの3枚目のミニアルバム『WITCH』は、童話「赤ずきん」をモチーフにした。妙に気持ち悪い笑いを浮かべたおばあちゃんが何か疑わしい。でも知っていながもやられる少女。ボーイフレンドは、すべてを知っていながらも仕方なく恋に落ちる一人の男の歪んだ純愛を歌った。魔女をテーマに音楽、パフォーマンス、ミュージックビデオが有機的に繋がったストーリーテリング。残酷童話を再解釈し、キーワードでつなげたプロダクションが印象的である。
タイトル曲「WITCH」は、今回のアルバムで見せようとしたメンバーたちのキャラクターをそのまま描き出している。古典の童話の形式を破壊した曲が印象的なほどダイナミックな音楽、過去と現在がミックスされたスタイリング、うまく調和されたパフォーマンスまで、完全なボーイフレンドの二次的なイメージを形象化する。きちんとまとめられたキャラクターが初期の彼らの魅力だったなら、「WITCH」は、ステージだけでなく歌も長く視線を引くほどの重量感を与える。独自の領域の足場を用意して競争力を備えたわけだ。
보이프렌드의 3번째 미니앨범 [WITCH]는 동화 '빨간 두건’을 모티브로 삼았다. 묘하게 기분 나쁜 웃음을 띄운 할머니가 뭔가 의심스럽다. 하지만 알면서도 당하는 소녀. 보이프렌드는 다 알면서도 어쩔 수 없이 사랑에 빠지는 한 남자의 뒤틀린 순애보적 사랑을 노래했다. 마녀를 테마로 음악, 퍼포먼스, 뮤직비디오가 유기적으로 연결된 스토리텔링 전개. 잔혹동화를 재해석해 키워드로 연결한 프로덕션이 인상적이다.

This is seriously like the perfect concept for them. With their big eyes and angular and slim features, they look really good as vampires. Like damn.

Leonardo Pimentel The whole newspaper or just the headline? Cause I paused it when I first watched it and read the headline and I just thought she was killing off vampires. But now that I think about it, it seems like a little red riding hood getting revenge for her grandmother sort of concept.

I know this is one year later but they are back! They reunited with full members! They released Ending Credit on their 10th anni and will continue to do activities together as they confirmed they have officially reunited. Please look forward to their future group and solo activities 🥰

Still listening to them, no matter how much time passes. They're way too good to be ignored.
People are confused about the concept. Here's what I think:
She's Little Red Riding Hood and Boyfriend are the wolves. The way I saw it, the wolves and Riding Hood were friends, but she backstabbed them by first setting them up (reading the newspaper, it says the BF mark was found on the crime scene, and who knows their mark better than a friend, which was noted in the flashback), then hurting one of them (Hyunseung), calling them out to the roof knowing they'd want to stop her and get revenge, then killing them. The flashback shows them as friends. Then you can see she has the red hood in her bag, which makes me think that she's Riding Hood. And wolves have fangs, too, not just vampires. Their acting, especially during the fight makes them look more like wolves. So yeah. That's what I think. It might be different, but I'm pretty convinced that that's what it's supposed to be.
also their eyes glow in the dark like animals. and there is a full moon in the background.

Boyfriend's comebacks are so consistent in quality. Obsession, On and On and Janus are all great songs. Even though I don't like Witch as much the songs that I mentioned, there's no denying that Witch is a very solid comeback song.

I think the choreography caught my attention more than the song did.... i love the dance to this song its kinda out their for me.... and using the curtains/ drapes added more effect.... but the song fell short in my opinion. BOYFRIEND really had me routing for them in Obsession..... but this was "ehhh"
