I think the point the op was trying to make is that there is less difference in current trends in the US and Korean releases now. Where early 2010s kpop was more influenced by 80s and 90s US trends than 2010 US trends, sometimes I can't tell if what is on the radio now is kpop or western. I never found that to be the case in earlier generations. Maybe more a result of kpops growing influence than the other way around?
