Take personal hygiene seriously people, always take a bath or a shower daily if you can🚿🛁🧼. Brush your teeth daily🪥, used deodorant , and wear clean clothes👖👕👔👗 daily 🤓.

Ai work at a daycare. One time, when a coworker was hanging a diaper, she found poop stuck of the bottom of the infant (as in, they most like slept in that over night).
She was just as shocked as I was.
The head lady of the building took the baby to wash in a bath.

When I was in high school, there was a group of guys that thought spraying themselves with an overgenerous amount of AXE Body Spray was fine in lieu of showering.

When I lived in a suburb of Vancouver, BC, I used to take the bus to downtown Vancouver on Saturday nights. When I went home, the bus ran along E. Hastings St.
Several Saturdays in a row, there was a woman who would get on the bus at Hastings and Boundary. She stank so badly that she would clear out two rows of bus seats in front of and behind her. People would stand in the aisle rather than sit within two rows of her.
After this happened several Saturdays in a row, I promised myself if she got on the bus, I would get off and wait an hour for the next bus. Sure enough, there she was one evening as I was heading home. Before I could get off, the bus driver stopped her at the door and forbade her to get on. Apparently, BC Transit had so many complaints that they banned her from their busses.

I half expect someone to get turbo offended at this story, but when I worked at a lowes I occasionally did delivery. I lived in western north carolina at the time; close to the cherokee reservation. Several times I had to deliver a new appliance to someone of the rez and, save fore once, each time the houses were ridiculously filthy. Like 3 inch deep trash on all the floors. So much so we had to be careful not to trip over anything hauling out the new appliances. On top of it each time we dropped off the old appliance roaches would just pour out of them when they hit the ground. It was... incredibly depressing.

I went home with a guy I met at the club. It was past midnight when we got to his house. The house was dark, and he just dragged me to the dark bedroom. We were about to get serious, clothes were coming off, and I smelled something hideous. I got up and flipped on the light. I was horrified! He was un-cut, and he hadn't washed down there for days, if not weeks. Cheese was running out, and I could see he was covered in crabs 🦀. I could also see the house. There were mostly empty pizza boxes on the floor two feet deep. The house was a wreck and hadn't been cleaned in months, if not years. I didn't say a word and just left. I stopped at the store and bought a couple of bottles of A-200.

I worked security for a while. One day we had a trucker come in and... I don't want to say it was BO because it was beyond that. He stood on the other side of the glass divider and his smell was literally eye searing. Full in, "I'm going to be here by the open door while we talk" pungent. Worse than that was the visible hand prints he left on the counter and the way the smell lingered. I know long haul truckers sometimes have trouble finding a shower, they have to book times at a stop, but still.

Had a regular customer who never washed or changed his clothes. He was a security guard who, when he got a new uniform, never washed it. He would just throw it out when he got a new one, every 6 months. His shirts started as blue and slowly turned brown.
I also did a small stint in a machine shop. Everyones overalls where never washed, just replaced. They would get so dirty with oil and metal shavings, they would stand up on their own like mannequins. They would have destroyed a washing machine.

Former friend moved in with me when we were both in our early twenties. She refused to bathe or wash her clothes.
She would only grudgingly bathe, if you were lucky, once a month after dropping harsh hints that she stank. She actually thought rubbing her armpits with baby powder was enough.
She left grease marks everywhere she sat from the pants she always wore, but never cleaned. I had to get the carpets in my apartment professionally cleaned to remove those stains, my vintage couch never recovered.
I put up with her bad smell and dirty clothes for a long time, as I believe she had issues and just needed patience, which disappeared when she infested my apartment with bedbugs and refused to pay for them to be removed.
I moved out, letting her take over my lease and claim my furniture, and had to start over with nothing but the new clothes I just bought to prevent bringing bedbugs into my new place.
I found out she wasn’t in need of help or patience, she was just an abusive covert narcissist looking to take advantage of others and ruin their lives out of jealousy.
I ended our friendship and never spoke to her again, but some of my friends see her now and again and she is still unhygienic and smells bad.
If your friend has bad hygiene, think twice before letting them move in with you. Poor hygiene habits and slobbish dress are often warning signs of those who do not care about themselves, and who will not respect others or their homes. I learned this the hard way.

I am genuinely starting to believe that some families are still too uncomfortable teaching kids about bodily hygiene! Folks, you are not dirty if you are naked around showers! You are dirty if you never see a shower!!!

@@silviaconsonni586 I agree. People are so terrified of hurting feelings they just allow the worst to happen.
I remember once, my mom actually informed her father she was doing these things, maybe thinking he would talk sense to her or at least get to the bottom of the issue. He just shrugged and said it wasn’t his problem.
Bad parents are a big part of issues like these too.

There's a girl I work with who apparently doesn't know how to wash her underarms (and if she does, it's not working). There were a few times where I smelled her before even seeing her.
Oddly enough, I very rarely ever hear people comment on her, at least directly. I think we all know that she smells bad, but everyone's too afraid to talk about it.

My friend who i used to go to high school with and work with used to NEVER brush his teeth. His teeth was CAKED in tartar and plaque, i brought up the school and work because it was years in between and he has never brushed it to my knowledge in that time frame. It was always nasty to look at. He used to always never wash his hair, I tried cutting and styling it once after work, it was absolutely disgusting. Even after a shampoo, it was still greasy and nappy.

Now I'm having strange hypotheses about the female roommate who never took a shower.
    A) she fears showers because she has that rare water allergy, hence using some random no brand product. Still a mystery why she didn't do anything about it.
    B) she fears showers because she grew up in a family or community with violent older people who creep around girls showering naked, or they have that old misconception of "bathing naked is an impure act"

3:44 That bit where he says never looked anyone in the eye or never smiled even when he had a reason to, I really wonder what causes that cause I do that too. I have trouble looking at people in the eye or showing emotion like smiling when I'm around people I know. Back in school though I had no problem with that and it seemed to have started after all that staying home during covid mess

My aunt (mom’s 2nd sister) and family always has trash in their cars and house. And there’s moments where my cousins (5of them) don’t even take a shower/bath for weeks. When they bought their recent house a few years ago, it didn’t lasted a week where the house went from being clean to all trashy. I remember their last house was always filled with filth, food, any liquid stains, and horrible smells. I also remember how clean and new their car was, few days later it was all filled with trash. From when I was little til now, they never clean. Well my Uncle (aunts husband) cleans from time to time. And my brother once questioned my aunt “why is your house always dirty?” And my aunt answered “you don’t want to visit us anymore?” And my brother said that “that’s not what he said”.
