BCA Artist Studio Tour: Lily Calabrese Pottery

For this installment of BCA’s Artist Studio Tour, Vermont potter Lily Calabrese invites us into her brightly lit studio space to share her process and playful perspective on ceramics. Beginning her pottery with a wide range of smooth, simple ceramic forms based in the Majolica technique, Calabrese enjoys using white glaze to set the stage for colorful drawings, which can range from dreamy landscapes to vibrant rainbow trout. In her new home in Northfield, she is building a bright, organized, and carefully arranged space devoted to functional terra cotta pottery.
