Do people really not realize that these "added scenes" are meant to feel in the gap between the Yoda and Palpatine fight? Remember in the original movie it jumped cut between the 2 fights, so he had to add scenes to fill in the gaps between.

My personal head cannon has always been that Vader siphoned Padme’s last life force, likely without knowing it.
Up till that point, Vader could never truly be 100% in control or even 100% Sith because he/Anakin cared for more than just himself, even if it was a selfish love. With Padme’s death (and that last Wilhelm scream), Anakin is gone, and Vader is what remains.

I've personally seen a few people call it goofy. I find it rather interesting; two literal masters of their style, living legends among the jedi, and they know each other's styles so well that when they get to a stalemate, they resort to a shadow war where they are both defending at the same time just waiting for the other to strike. they were so inside each other's head that they had to somehow stop thinking like themselves after that. If you notice, the two switch up their style after that specific point and start doing less flashy moves, it's the real turning point of the fight where they stop 'sparing' and start fighting.

His hair is the same exact long, mullet length in both, if I remember right from the actual show via S7. Any longer and it'd look too weird and officially away from the S7/Late-Clone Wars continuity timeline. If you look at certain shots of his side profile, you'll see that the hair is indeed his long mullet, ROTS-style look. :)

I feel like with the addition of scenes not seen in the movie it really shows just how much evil anakin is after obi wan. In the movie it always felt pretty even in terms of skill but this really shows obi wan is just trying to get away and hope he can succeed without actually having to kill anakin. I see this sequence so much differently now. Live or animated.
Now as far as padme dying I’ve thought a lot about this lately and here’s my thought. Think practically. Your husband who is in secret turns to the dark side, your boss just turned into a Sith Lord and declared an empire so now everything you spent your life and career working toward has just gotten worse and worse because padme was always a strong voice in the senate wanting to end the war and she didn’t even want an army to be created in the first place. On top of that you have hormones of being pregnant. You’re trying to figure out if everybody is telling you the actual truth, the man you love just choked you out which all force aside that would be a domestic abuse charge in the real world. I think she really did lose the will to live. It wasn’t even about anakin entirely. Her whole life just felt basically over she was probably absolutely sick to her stomach. I think when we think of padme as an every day real life person with a career and a secret husband it actually makes sense why it would be easy for her to just decide to check out during child birth. Just my thoughts

I love how this connects the dots for our souls, it's a MEET ME HALFWAY with live action Anakin-Ahsoka on the one side, and now animated Clone Wars Obi-Wan and Anakin culminating into Mustafar!!!
    A few thoughts:
    - yes the dedication from Fan filmmakers is astonishing. I recently participated in a short film shooting (non SW related) and, my, a whole day of shooting for 10 minutes of film! Crazy. And I can't begin to imagine creating props etc.
    On Ep III specifically:
    - worse than those Mustafar workers, imagine being a cab driver on Coruscant and suddenly have Mace Windu crash through your cab's roof (next thing you know he goes "BIG BADA BOOM multipass Leeloominaï Lekatariba-Lamina-Tchaï, Ekbat de Sebat " !)
    - pretty sure the hot air would burn you to a crisp even 10 feet away from actually touching lava (never been next to lava, but a camp fire, damn)
    - seeing how much Samurai culture influenced George Lucas, and how actual FRIENDS would help their buddy commit seppuku & take their heads ,it's always rubbed me the wrong way that Obi-Wan 1) does not put his former friend out of misery 2) just takes a chance (remember this dude is the Chosen one and has more Force particles than even master Yoda! So who knows what he's capable of?) 3) hasn't felt his passing in the Force.
I would have no complaints if, say, Anakin was left to die on some inacessible ledge below Obi-Wan, and some lava separating them.
    - same thing with Shmi. The Jedi should have *at least tried* to rescue her, but failed. Which would doubly enrage Anakin over time, both because they didn't free his mom, but also, "because they're weak". Even if they didn't give a flying F about a poor enslaved woman, even from a tactical investment, letting the Chosen One's mother become a loose cannon simply makes zero sense. Not only the Chosen one's mother, but a magical one at that ! a mystery not worth investigating? GL dropped the ball for me there.
Cheers! And Happy new year Kyle & friends

As for the fan film, the quality of this is astounding, using a mixture of movie and Lego game voice over for this was a neat touch as well (even though some of the Lego lines sound out of place due to their direction for that game more so than anything else). Still, a fantastic video through and through.

Did you note how the face expressions are much more realistic? Obi wan really seems desperate while still not believing what is happening. Darth Sidious seems not very happy with the defeat of Vader, because that was something he not forseen (and would be the key to your defeat 25 years later), and some way the final scene looks very much strong on this anine than the movie. Very good work definitely.

I love how they incorperated some of the unused lightsaber choreography from the Prequeals that Nick Gillard divised up. Like the spot where anakin deactivates the saber tosses it under obi wans than catches it with the the other hand. Chefs kiss, like no really this was absolute perfection. And if you listen carefully you can hear Anakin say "Padme help" as the rebrither and mask are pit over his face. Its faint b/c his vocal cords were burned out. The attention to detail here is amazing.
And can I say for as much crap that Hayden undeservedly so about the dialog, Hayden really hit these line in the movie. I like Matt Latter and I think hes great its just these lines (taken out of the skywalker saga) just dont seem to have any weight or gravitas attached to them like Haydens version. The lines just kind of seem to exist in this space withoutbanybemotion attached to them. Hayden was really able to caputere that sense of conflicting emotion in his voice. Matt's version kind of falls flat and honestly w/out Hayden these lines just seem out of place, theres no emotion. With Matt's delivery we as an audience dont get that sense of just how conflicting this was for Anakin to do.
Now on the contrary James Arnold Taylor nailed these lines. He really caputred McGregors annunciation and cadence and it sounds almost identical to Ewan. They sound like mirror images of each other. Like James is really able to capture the termoil Obi-Wan must have been feeling throughout this fight. In a way the the lines and how their spoken give us two differing stories for each character. James's Obi-Wan we as an audience get the sense that this gight matters to him, however, Matt's Anakin almost comes if as disinterested in this exchanhge. That this fight w/ his best friend really has no meaning to him. But thats just my two cents on the matter.

  • @Infinite_Ethan_03

Most of the dialogue actually came from the most recent LEGO game. The only difference
    is a few instances where JAT’s dialogue isn’t clear enough, so they kept Ewan’s version;
an example is the "My allegiance is to the Republic" line. I think a few of the lines did come from a fan event of some sort. I think that the "It doesn’t have to end like this" line might have been from the Episode III tie-in game? Don’t quote me on that one, though. I’m pretty sure Padmé’s dialogue was Natalie Portman and not Catherine Taber, at least. My only criticism about this entire fan animation is the sound mixing not making the dialogue clear enough, and the sound editing having some abrupt cuts. Other than that, everything else
is perfect. I love how they even added some of the deleted sequences from the fight.

The dialogue that are read from James Arnold Taylor and Matt Lanter are from the Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga video game. There are some scenes like the Anakin jump and Obi-Wan's "High Ground" final monologue are from the movie but the beginning and the grunting majority of the time are from the Lego game. James Arnold Taylor does a very great job that you'd think he was just watching Revenge of the Sith and talking over Ewan McGregor to record his lines. I don't know where they got the "I hate you" line though. That was not Matt or Hayden.

I thought it was obvious back in 2005 that Padme was killed through the Force. The medical droid says she's completely healthy and can't explain what's happening...well...that droid exists in a universe with space magic. I'd always assumed that either Anakin's possessive nature created a Force bond with her and in her trying to break free, coupled with his turning to the Dark Side, the bond snapped that's what killed her. Either that or her life force was siphoned by either Vader or Sidious.
