Yamaha has done a great job of bringing everything that was great about the shootout winning RMAX2 over to the new RMAX4 for 2025. Benefitting from updates that were carried across the entire RMAX line, Yamaha should have another winner on their hands with the brand new RMAX4.
I've never sat in a RMAX, but my buddy was a Yamaha tech and said the engine noise when driving was pretty loud. My RZR was loud enough, I wonder if placing the engine back a foot and behind a set of seats help out any. I've been considering a 4 seater but want to have conversations without yelling at my front passenger while slowly picking my way through trails. I understand having your foot deep into the throttle wailing down the trail is gonna be fairly loud in anything.
@@Nichols975 It might be a touch quieter because you're a little further from the engine. With helmets and a communication system like Cardo and it's not an issue
I have and rmax 2 and the noise and parts availability when I need them is my biggest complaint. My friend turned on the decibel reader on his phone under full acceleration it is around 100 decibels. I know honda on the crf450L puts rubber or something like that on the valve cover to reduce noise. I wish yamaha would do something after a 120 mile day of riding my ears ring so bad.
Time for you guys to do another General vs Commander vs RMAX shootout with the 25 RMAX upgrades and new Long. 2 seater vs 2 seater and 4 seater vs 4 seaters (Long and Compact). ;)
@@MassiveOverkill Depending upon how well this video does we might consider a shootout. Yamaha definitely has us thinking it's time for a retest of the two seater. The other vehicles in the class have not improved. RMAX Is still the king.😁
@@justink5093 Yamaha has given no indication but we wouldn't be surprised to see it happen. There are quite a few people asking for this Across different RMAX reviews.

I love my 2022 RX limited
Love hearing that owner feedback.
We want a rmax 1
@@shaun7126 What is that like a single aeater? 🤣
They just need to offer an enclosed model with hvac, and then we have a home run. I won’t upgrade my rmax2 until that happens.

👍👍👍
@@doc_teamwaxoffroad Doc good to see you!
IS IT ANY QUIETER!?
@@MyersRacingChannel Probably about the same but you're further away from the engine if you're driving. 🤣
Fair enough. 😅@@UTVonDemand
