It’s funny because you are not the only person who uses hair grease for a retwist. Ive seen great results and your locs look great as well 🙌🏾

Hey Desiree what are your thoughts on nail overlays , the chemicals that are used , thin out , damage and suffocate the nail bed. The chemicals are as dangerous as asbestos , to breathe them in cause allergies , respiratory issues and cancer . I used to faithfully get my nails done until I did the research.

My hair grows outside of the loc and i gather it when in retwisting and wrap in around my roots. I have not experienced any thinning but I will keep my eyes on it

Yeah looks like we pretty much have the same regimen... from brushing to Wild Growth Oil (which is new for me) and Nature's Blessings (I use the green one) I am 6 years into my loc journey and all I use is water some oil (separately) and good ole nature's blessing in my scalp and I'm good to go!😉 Great video 💜

I'm looking forward to experiencing the summer weather this year with my locs to see if I have a HOT head under the FREE FORM method. As I don't have any part sections on my scalp to allow air to pass through. I hope I'm not regretful.

Hi Desiree, I've recently started to spritz my locs with my green tea mixture and I find that it's really moisturizing BUT it looks like it's changing my hair to a brownish color. Has this happened to you, what are your experiences with it thus far???

I've woken up hot, but its because of the silk bonnet I wear to bed mixed with the warm temp. There has been a few times that I had to snatch it off. Oh, and the cotton sheets aren't helping.

Have you tried black castor oil? I have 4c and have been loced for almost three years as well. I went through almost every oil to no avail. Locking creams/gels. I really try to cut out any buildup and my concern with grease is that it seems it could cause some build up depending on the shampoo you use(if it's not a clarifying or deep cleaning). Also a tip Walmart sells microfiber towels for about five bucks those are a must they also have these headband baclava things I use as a loc sock also very cheap.

Yeah. Hair. Grease is my number one friend if i dont use it my scalp itching so bad and get dry oil don't work as good as grease to me. And we black girl have use it all our lives a cup of water a brush and i will let anyone comb my hair my hair is cotton soft and curly and oil feels like i never get enough on my hair. But yeah grease its my best friend child

I don't deal with my hair making me hotter and I live in florida lol. But maybe it's just because it's not long enough yet. Wow how did you go back and find unanswered questions from 3 months into your loc journey? Impressive. My locs are bumpy on the ends too but I never wrapped the hairs around my locs

The stray strands are real. I did the same thing as you and the bumpy locs are just a part of my journey. Lol. I have hair that finally made a loc after 8 months because it was straight and soft. The rest of my hair is hardcore 4C coarse, go figure 🤷🏾‍♀️. Thanks for another great video.

The green is the pomade. The one u have the clear color is the “ hair food”.

I love using grease on my Loose Clients hair.
I wonder for Locs is it hard to Shampoo the grease out
    Since it's not loose hair.

@@chyname ok thanks for the info.
I did try Dawn a few shampooes ago, I really liked it.
I was Afraid at 1st, I thought it would dry out my hair.
      But it didn't at all.
      I really liked it.
I mixed it with some shampoo...lol
I was scared to use it by itself.
But I will use it by it self next time.
