I'm 64 and have an expensive home gym in my basement. I have no excuses. Your videos give me something to relate to. I am going to commit to a healthy life style immediately. Thank you for the encouragement.
Thank you for the video I’m 62 and have garden room gym, with functional trainer, a leverage gym, air bike and adjustable dunbells. I train 6 days a week. I now also incorporate body weight exercises. You show age is just a number. I will incorporate your exercises into my routine, respect
Inspirational mate !! I love your attitude.. I've just bought a pull up bar gonna set it up today.. blessings to you buddy from here in England 🏴 🇬🇧 🙏
Hi Rocky, I have watched a couple of dozen of your videos and they are down to earth and inspiring. Happy Birthday in advance! I'm about to turn 62 and I've been weight training for over 45 years. LOVE training and have no motivation issues. My problem is I have accumulated various injuries over the years. I have 2 large tendon tears in my rotator cuff in my left shoulder and my sub scapularis is nearly torn off the bone in my right shoulder. I've had 3 cortisone injections in the last 18 months and it's slowly improving. I am desperate to get training hard again but my shoulders just won't let me. Do you have any advice? Also I am so glad to see someone who isn't pushing training to failure as I see so many people with bad joint wear and tear from training too heavy. I always do 15 to 20 reps and only about 3 to 4 sets on most exercises. Training twice a week for about 30 minutes so my injuries certainly aren't from over doing it. And yes I do warm up. Just born with crappy tendons I think.
That’s incredible dedication! I’m sorry to hear about your shoulders. Injuries are tough, especially when they hold back your passion. My advice would be to keep things light and controlled. Focus on mobility, band work, and exercises that strengthen the smaller stabilizing muscles around the joint. Avoid anything that aggravates your shoulders - there’s always a way to adapt. I’d also recommend finding a physio who truly understands lifters. You’ve already got the right mindset. Just stay consistent and listen to your body. It’s about longevity, not destroying yourself. Keep going strong!
Молодец ,мне 61 но сейчас очень плохо подтягиваюсь ,брусья не делаю ,боли в локтях и плечах от них ,все делаю на тренажерах.Сколько раз в неделю вы такой комплекс делаете,сколько кругов?
Question for you Rocky. Can you build a great physique with just a combination of calisthenics and dumbbells and a power tower pull-up station ? I don't like barbells. Do I need to use barbells ?
