She said why. She said she wasnt work, and had no idea how she was going to pay for the 40, and didn’t mean to be rude, wasn’t trying to be rude, and was sorry if she was being rude. Because she said that at the end, you can safely and fairly assume, that when he informed her she had not just one but two tickets, she rolled her eyes and sighed because she realized she now has to pay even more money that she didn’t have. I don’t think she meant to be rude and because she wasn’t working and couldn’t afford it, she was racking her brain on how she would be able to afford it. Thing is, even though you don’t mean to be rude or do something with intent to be rude, it comes down to the person taking offense to what you said, or actions you take. Especially when he was lenient with her, waived all the late fees, and reduced the original cost of the tickets, and she’s sighing and rolling her eyes in his court room. I too am glad he just explained to her that he was helping her out with removing the penalties and reduced the price of the tickets, and even though she may not mean to be rude, but her actions still were rude and she should think about it before doing that again in his or any other judges courtroom because other judges aren’t as forgiving, understanding or nice as he is, and that kind of actions could get her into real trouble and cost in a different judges courtroom. At least that’s what I took out of what he was saying to her. Giving her some advice.

This is the kindest, best judge I've ever seen, I'm sure his kindest is taken for weakness alot of the time, but I'd say Judge Frank don't miss a beat, he is a very Brilliant man, SALUTE YOUR HONOR!
He fully reminds me of a judge in Painesville, Ohio. He hands out very unusual punishments like public humiliation, etc. Like a woman who left her dog alone in a hoarder house for a week with no food. He sentenced her to spend time sifting garbage at the landfill. And a girl stiffed a cabbie for $100 so she had to walk 30 miles in 48 hours. I'm a huge fan. His rates of reoffending folks is 10% whereas the national average is 75%. I mean, can you say, "DUHHHH!!!"

Yeah I agree also there are plenty of people who have bad attitudes on the show I think between the language barrier the accent and her emotions the judge perceived it that way but I don’t think she was intending to do that

doesnt excuse no acknowledgement on the verdict, no respect to address the judge corrected. Even if we accept her eyes rolls, sighs, and argumentative tone as just being emotional. Plenty of people have cried or on the verge of tears due to anxiety but never acted like that. She has a bad attitude.
I can’t imagine those two being offended by being called young chicks. This judge is having fun injecting a little humor into a situation nobody wants to be in.
This judge is a very fair and likeable. He would make a good president of the United States. But I think he may not be able to keep this same sunny disposition.

The family court women's attitude wasn't a bad once. It's an expression of self pity. A cultural nuance that can easily be interpreted wrongly. That's why cultural awareness is so crucial im the judicial process.

And concerning his comment of calling those two ladies “ chicks “ Well last month at my local gym they hired a girl and I told her she was gorgeous. I got a call the next day from the manager of the gym and The 1st thing out of my mouth was …. surely to god you’re not called me about me about what I said to the new girl. Sure enough he was and we both agreed in today’s society you can’t say nothing to nobody. So I said I know a way to fix this. Cancel my membership ! ….. now that problem is solved .

The only Courthouse that, on many days, make people comfortable and smile. I have a JD, filing court documents as a law clerk was always a mood swinger. I know them clerks in California are just doing their job, but some days they were just stubborn. 😂😂😂😂
I know it's horrible but, when me and my friends were like 12 we used to steal people's tickets off their cars. Sometimes we'd take the tickets and stick them on other cars and watch people come out of their houses in confusion. At that age we didn't think of the consequences for the people we did it to. I can only imagine how many judges didn't believe the tickets got stolen and accused people of just trying to get out of paying. I'm an adult now a mother and grandmother and I feel horrible 😩
The judge completely misunderstood the emotions of the woman that said “Oh god” she was crying not to cry and extremely upset, she didn’t have a bad attitude she was emotional about having to pay money she didn’t have. He completely misunderstood her emotions. Any woman would be able to tell this, but so obvious a man misjudges a woman’s emotions as usual.

That lady got an attitude because she thought she could play the, waahh waahh I never received the other one card, and get them dropped. She really got an attitude with him when he helped her then tried the, I have no work card. So what shoulda came out is, "thank you for saving me an arm and a leg your honor. You are the best damn judge in the United States and all judges should be like you." Defiant, in denial, and snappy with the attitude with no provocation.

I feel you this is actually how judges should be in the United States of America but sadly this is literally the only judge that's like this in the United States most judges will do it whatever they can to squeeze every nickel they can out of you for the state.
