OMG! You are not only a top notch saxophonist and composer, but also a great arranger and band leader. The best since the Gil Evans Orchestra in the 1980's for me. So great to see such a young woman not only doing, what she can, but hearing, that she really can, what she does. This is the future (or rebirth) of Jazz! Hopefully! And you seem to be it's new voice. So much talent, so great music! Thank you very much!!!
MUSICIANS: (this line-up is approximate, and may not be 100% accurate for this particular performance) --> Emma Rawicz - leader, compositions, saxophone --> Immy Churchill - vocals --> Ruta Sipola - flute --> James Copus, Edouard Monnier, Miguel Gorodi, Nick Smart - trumpets --> Joel Knee, James Wade-Sired, Harry Maund, Yusuf Narcin - trombones --> Mike Chillingworth, Kasper Rietkerk, Mark Lockhart, Damon Oliver, Tom Smith - saxes --> David Preston - guitar --> Scottie Thompson - piano --> Freddie Jensen - bass --> Jack Thomas - drums
@@Osnosis Hey, Emma Rawicz is the BEST of MY generation. Since you started, have you heard of the "All Might" Michael Brecker, huh? I bet he is way better than Tom Ridout.
Very funny. Knew Mike well; he got me to study with Jerry Bergonzi. But, of course, he sadly died 17 years ago, so we’re really not comparing the dead/past with current generation. Tom is London-based, like Emma, which is why I mentioned him. But I appreciate the snark.
Emma consistently blows me away! It's not only her playing, which is always stellar, but her compositions, which are always so incredibly expressive, breathtaking, and fun! Her musicianship is consummate, and I daresay she will go down as a legend, which is not something I would ever say lightly. What a brilliant musical light for our time. Cheers!
M-man, you're either being sarcastic or have a much better sound system than I do. (Congratulations) I see the vocalist's lips moving but barely and rarely hear her voice. Fine music.

What a band! Terrific! Loved the trumpet section’s appreciation for their man’s solo too.

This slaps! Though I do wish more of your music was available on streaming :)
This gives me hope for the future of jazz.
Emma Rawicz, the best saxophonist of our generation.
She’s great, but best is a tough moniker. Nicole Glover is another phenom. Have you heard Tom Ridout in London?

@@Osnosis Awesome! Thank you very much for being such a sportsman, sir. Long live Emma Rawicz, the golden queen.
The queen is back.
Absolutely killing it, writing, mix, everything... and you resisted the temptation to put a massive tenor solo in there too.. must have been tough 😇
