  • Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770 - 1831) was a German philosopher and one of the most influential figures of German idealism and 19th-century philosophy. His influence extends across the entire range of contemporary philosophical topics, from metaphysical issues in epistemology and ontology, to political philosophy, the philosophy of history, philosophy of art, philosophy of religion, and the history of philosophy.
Hegel everywhere insists that reason and freedom are historical achievements, not natural givens. His dialectical-speculative procedure is grounded in the principle of immanence, that is, in assessing claims always according to their own internal criteria. Taking skepticism seriously, he contends that people cannot presume any truths that have not passed the test of experience; even the a priori categories of the Logic must attain their "verification" in the natural world and the historical accomplishments of humankind.

Fantastic. Have no words to thank you. At a pretty advanced age I feel I understood the concept "the end of history" popularised by Fukuyama. Lucky are the people who live in the era of Dr. Taimur لعل.

I haven't seen you nor have I been able to attend your lectures physically but I had great craving to attend your lessons face to face and it seemed a dream that never came true. Now I can say that it happens, the dream comes true and I can learn from you. I must pay homage to you my Guru. Please accept my love and respect for you, I myself am a Government Teacher graduated in political science.

@Taimur_Laal sir I would request you to suggest me a recommended reading for your course " history of economic Thought " as, after watching your lectures, I'm now more inclined to delve deeper into history of great economic ideas and their origins. Would be grateful sir!

Love listening to your lectures, im studying the natural sciences and while i can access resources not available to the masses i appreciate how accessible and easy to follow your stuff on social media is, its become a habit to listen to you whenever i have free time.
Would love to hear you discuss caste or indian societal structure in general, recently read some of Anuradha Gandhi's work and her analysis seemed poignant, but hearing it from your point of view would hit harder i feel.
Thank you for all your (and your editors and TAs and everyone else involved in this project's) hard work, and i hope we can cultivate class conscioussness amongst the masses.

Hi Taimoor, I'm doing my degree in History and Politics from Cambridge at the age of 39. I've been listening to you since the 2013 elections and your stance against the CULT following in Pak inspired me to listen to you more.
Can I have the honor to meet you in Lahore in the coming weeks? I'd be there for Eid celebrations, and I would like to give you a JADO KI JHAPPI!

Bhai Taimur, your lecture on dialectics was great. In conclusion you arrived at reconciliation of the infinite with the finite, with god and man, convincing me of the universal spirit as the divine designer. It was indeed a beautiful lecture that established god. But I fail to see how the west turned itself into atheism. So much so that they sacrificed their most valuable values and kill the Palestinians. Is the end of philosophy is to become a demon like a Jew?
