Don't worry I'm not switching to AI slop content 💀 For those curious, it was made with Google's "NotebookLM" thing that lets you just upload a file and it generates an AI podcast like this (it does more than that btw, that's just one of the features). So yes it generates the whole conversations and audio in one go, it's NOT like I told ChatGPT to write a dialog and used Text-to-speech or something. Anyway I thought this was hilarious because I am a mature adult.
I've seen a video like this before with a document saying "poopoo peepee". If you were inspired by that video, you should give credit in some way. Not saying this is case. Just saying if. I just think the idea was unique
I mean, if the documents are actual decent content, then the podcast discussion it generates will also be decent. Is it really a waste of time if you learn something or enjoy it?
@@IceMetalPunk We as humans value secondary properties like *intent* a lot. Authorship, because it relates to an author or person you know. Would you have listened to this if it weren't ThioJoe's upload? To some extent, people (certainly I) don't get mad if a "clickbaity" delivers or exceeds the expectations. The bar will be much lower for AI content, and lower yet for individuals who can recognize such content to filter it out. The English and German segments of the web are overflowing with copywritten websites created only to farm Amazon affiliate links (try to search for a niche/house appliance product reviews). They will all look genuine until you notice this farce. The Russian segment, lacking the monetization of affiliate partner programs, went for thematic copywriting, where any topic from gardening to home to medicine will have search results filled with similar rubbish. No originality, similar structure, you can't decide who copied whom. It's been a problem "long" before current generative AI. Do people continue reading and trusting these articles? Certainly, who's there to teach and show them? I think this video is great. It captured the quintessence (as the top comment pointed out) of soulless corporate content. If I ever needed a clear example of why I can't stand radio (and to a lesser extent TV and commentary) - this is the purest form of it all. Generic to the bone, but the phrases sound so convincing, because it's everything we are used to hear.
Happened to me recently. I was listening to a playlist, and enjoyed a particular song on it. Went into the description to find the name and artist. To my surprise, only the track names were listed. Scrolled a little bit more, and found the AI disclaimer. The whole channel was AI generated. It was a bit depressing to realize there was nothing more to a thing I enjoyed.
The AI does a perfect job of mimicking the types of people that think a banana taped to a wall is art, rather than a troll by an artist who knows there are mugs everywhere.
Art as in artificial as in taped to a wall by a human. Even on the tree the electrical signals interpreted by a human brain were generated by human cells, thus making everything art.
Considering this is just a showcase for the potential of AI when given a nonsensical topic, I'm quite impressed. The back-and-forth between the virtual hosts and the nuances of their speech is more than enough to convince an uneducated listener that these were humans. The underlying AI will always be constrained in order to produce content that falls well within the boundaries for acceptable publication, but that being said, the underlying technology and its potential are breathtaking.
The voices are perfect. Outside of the sharts, and the farts, if I just heard this in the background and wasn't paying attention, I would just think someone had on some public radio station.
This is actually so good, I hate how much I enjoyed this. These robots spoke directly to my sense of humour and I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s so tongue in cheek and ironic the whole way through with so many great puns. 10/10 honestly.
This video doesn't bore me but it makes time go by so slowly. I was fully convinced I was sitting here for 3 minutes already nearing the videos end only to see i was only 1:15 in. Then again, i fully expect a minute to have passed when in reality it was only 15 seconds. But again, I am not bored, I am actually somewhat entertained but time moves so slowly nonetheless for some reason.
I think the video analyzing a document "poopoo peepee" is way better. I found myself dying of laughter at the absurdity of it. You should look it up. It was likely the inspiration for this video
OMFG we are doomed as a society. If the content wasn't so utterly ridiculous, people would honestly confuse this for a real conversation. TTS seems to have been conquered.
“They’re authentic. In a world SO full of artifice”.. is brilliantly self reflective. This really uplifted me at the end though, “I’m unafraid to be shart & fart” will be added to my morning mantras in 2025
This is unreasonably accurate to what two prove who took an improv class with a mildly successful podcast would sound. The conversation actually flows.
I've tried just "fart" before and it was about 4 minutes. Lots of other unique words too like "shamone" and even movie quotes. It's amazing how much it can talk when you give it almost nothing.
According to META AI... An interesting combination! "Shart" is a colloquialism that refers to the unfortunate experience of passing gas and feces simultaneously, often accompanied by a sense of embarrassment. On the other hand, a "fart" is simply the release of gas from the digestive system, often accompanied by a distinctive sound. Would you like to know more about the science behind flatulence?

Yes, it sounds like a corporate podcast, keeping it safe and friendly for everyone, with 0 edge or offense. It sounds like I tuned into NPR, 😂

Yes i did
A couple of days later from Fools day, for Latin American Countries. But Nice.
Pretty sure he used to shitpost before his channel got big, sort by old. So more like a blast from the past :)

It is not a physical post made with feces.
