4:28 @DnDShorts your coverage of the OGL was an amazing work. Thanks for what you did and still do. Seeing all the flame war coverage on Baldur’s Gate 3, it makes me appreciate even more how much work you put in to get us accurate information, your honest interpretations and anti-inflammatory aikido you pulled off to keep feelings focused on making change instead of rage baiting. Appreciate you!
@DnDShorts I have a lot of respect for what you said at 4:22 . I remember watching your videos during the OGL fiasco and being a little put off from the channel for that exact reason. But I really admire your attitude and sense of responsibility here. None of us are perfect but we can all strive to do better.
I have been following you since the days that the majority of your content was mythology related. It has been an interesting journey watching you and your change grow and change through the years.
What will the Community call the new edition of 5E? You decide! D&D 5E Two: Electric Bugaloo D&D 5E: The Second One D&D 5.5: Staying Alive D&D Too Five, Too Edition D&D 5E: One More Time One D&D (AKA 5E) D&D 6E (Um Ackshually...)
"You get experience, just after you need it." Hit me really hard. Its a kind of "well duh" sattement, but the idea is that: as long as you are alive, you can live q little better and have more tools to make less mistakes going forward.
Terrific to hear Kelly is thinking of GMing more for the DD channel! The Monster of the Week mini-series he ran was my introduction to the game, which is now my favorite and where I do actual-plays. I’d love to see him do more of it, or other PbtA games.
Head scratcher. While I've listened to the podcast for well over a year, I never realized the TH-cam channel was as good as it is. Guess I have a new time sink to contend with.
Will... Oh captain my captain. Salute. And the dungeon dudes... A cheesy name name, but really the two guys that helped me grow so much as a DM even though i had already been playing the game for well over a decade before i found them. I will support every endeavor these two guys ever take in the ttrpg space.
This video not only made me want to go to GenCon next year, but you got a new subscriber out of it. I came for the Dungeon Dudes (love their stuff) but you got a new fan. Great stuff here 🙂
That was such a fun and inspiring video! I've just begun making dnd content myself and this was so helpful in so many ways. And I feel like I can catch up with everyone here one day 🥺
Also I have my own system that has it's own dice system and using a point buy method for skills and attributes, it makes it feel very different than 5e. Reminded me of this when Dael talked about being done with the d20 systems. You rank up your dice starting with a D10. It goes D10 - D20 - Proficiency Bonus Unlocked - D20 + 10 - 2D20. Makes the randomness of dice matter less as your odds of getting better rolls go up as you level them up. You can still gain flat bonuses through other methods if you don't want to spend 4 rank ups on a single skill or take certain options to make your Proficiency Bonus more effective with specific skills that fall within a category.
There are top "mistakes" made in the TTRPG sphere, lack of character sheet, not showing the math of the game, and too much text without visual learning tools. It is time to evolve. MDM has all of these, I hope to earn your subscription. Cheers!
OneD&D is just a weird thing that some corporate dillholes came up with to "shake things up", and it looks and sounds like a new version of the iPhone. What will be known is "5.5e" will probably be popular with younger kids since character class and progression choices don't matter as much and the lore is looser and more kid-friendly, but the real hardcore D&D fans will just stay away from it and stick to the older 5e books like Xanathar's, Tasha's and Fizban's. Those were made by people that cared about the players, and not the money.
their mistake is not playing gurps 4e instead. Man, imagine having the balls and impetus for THAT, where, unless you want to stay in the settings box of banestorm, madness dossier or infinite worlds. You actually had to create settings, worlds etc instead of just regurgitating D&D lore. What mettle that would prove. But, alas. They can't handle that, missing out both on the best TTRPG system there is, but also continous advertising for one of the worst systems there is. Alas, alas.
To be honest, I don't think I will ever forgive most of these people (who I had previously been a huge fan/subscriber/evangelist/kickstarter backer of) for lying about the OGL and fabricating a moral panic because they don't understand contract law. It opened my eyes to the economic incentives of "influencers", and the lack of integrity I had previous assumed there wouldn't be in the TTRPG space. But no. It's QAnon-style tribal epistemology and grifting everywhere, I guess.
Was awesome to hang with you at gencon bro! Thanks for the Ryoko's Guide shout out
I heard you want to explore new systems. I have enjoyed you for a long time and I hope to earn your personal subscription. Thanks and Cheers!
What you said at around 5:00 is REALLY important and goes way beyond just D&D. Thank You.

Of course, any time! Look forward to catching up again. 😄
Man, this makes me extra sad I didn't get to properly meet or hang out with all these badass creators
I have been following you since the days that the majority of your content was mythology related. It has been an interesting journey watching you and your change grow and change through the years.
I loved the brutal honesty of "or I won't care" 😂🎉
Nice to see pointyhat's human familiar out and about.
I love watching Monty watch Kelly.

Seeing all the dudes I watch in one video is such a cool feeling

Love this! As a smaller channel, I've definitely made my own mistakes, so hearing insights from these awesome creators is great. Thanks for sharing!
Good job on nailing the outro there Dael! Bumpadah bumpadah indeed.
She managed to include a Dael outro on someone else’s video
5e 2e or 5e electric boogaloo have stolen my lil heart
Great stuff!
D&D 5e 2e all day…
what excellent video full of the people who are the future of this hobby!
Great seeing the Dungeon Dudes!
This video not only made me want to go to GenCon next year, but you got a new subscriber out of it. I came for the Dungeon Dudes (love their stuff) but you got a new fan. Great stuff here 🙂
Thanks heaps for the sub, glad you enjoyed the video!
Good one. Thanks for the look behind the camera!
Given how many people have become disillusioned with WotC and such, perhaps a good way to refer to D&D One is "D&Done." ;)
dungeon dudes are my fav!!!
I'm a simple man. If I see ....wait ANY OF THESE PEOPLE I click
Dael streaming herself playing video games? BG3 content baby!
As soon as I get my voice back, you better believe it
5e 2e, love that!
Wow, I didn't know Logan had his own channel. I always thought of him as "the guy from the XP to level 3."
that was really enjoyable to watch. thanks
That was such a fun and inspiring video! I've just begun making dnd content myself and this was so helpful in so many ways. And I feel like I can catch up with everyone here one day 🥺
Fantastic video!!! Lots of folks in there who I respect a lot. :)
what an excellent video!
What a great 4 channels to highlight. Obv most would know all of them anyway but if you don’t, wow you are in for some great content binging.
Great work on the interviews / editing.
Good, interesting questions and answers. Well done all.
This was a unique & awesome vid. Appreciate your content, you got a sub
Much appreciated!
Love Dael she one of my favorite people on you tube.
So… Kelly wants to GM a Science Fiction Horror game. Is there an Alien RPG? I’d watch that.
Go to Critical Role. Ashley Johnson GM'd an Alien-Inspired One-Shot called "The Nautilus Ark." I don't recall what system she used for it though.
Cool video
I learned from these people for my channel
Thank you
Liked this. Sorry I missed you at GenCon.
That was very nice! Thank you 😁
Was there more footage that got cut? 14:40 doesn't feel like enough for me, I want more! :P Keep up the good work!

Great video l
A weird question maybe, but what is the mic model you use in the interviews? 😊
Nagging my brother to be dungeon master so much he quit D&D forever ( this was during the 80’s)
I had no chill as a kid zilch
Will, Dungeon Dudes...
😮🙂
Cool video ! That's a sub ;-)
Thank you very much! 🙂
Looks like DndShorts @ is not correct?
Fixed. Thanks!
5.1 D&D
Good.

really enjoyed all the non-dnd responses! :)

Trusting WotC
I wonder if more people would be encouraged to wear masks at cons if more rpg ‘personalities’ wore masks at conventions?
I know two people in this video, the rest I have no idea who they are.
their mistake is not playing gurps 4e instead. Man, imagine having the balls and impetus for THAT, where, unless you want to stay in the settings box of banestorm, madness dossier or infinite worlds.
You actually had to create settings, worlds etc instead of just regurgitating D&D lore.

Perchance
D&D is dead, everyone is playing Pathfinder 1E😂😂😂😂

How did any of these creators lie about the OGL controversy or misunderstand contract law?
Yeah, this former lawyer would like to know how they misunderstood contract law.
