This is awesome, great job! I think you did a great job giving the guitars a fuller, more Nevermind-like sound while still keeping the essential original parts
most of neverminds drums were written by chad when they were playing the songs in the bleach kind of era and dave barely changed them so it would likely be mostly the same
@@vrtexxradiation tbh they were all changed a bit but they all followed a similar structure, I've got a nirvana vinyl that is just old gigs from 89/90 and they played breed and in bloom and the drums from in bloom are basically the same but there's just small differences that makes me appreciate it

I was thinking the same thing through the first minute that I actually listened to...I also don't think the production of the song would've been so different: no need to go to distortion for every chorus; no need for such a heavy chorus (flanger?) on the "clean" guitar track(s); no way so much reverb on the vocals...this sounds like a demo track to me... - that said, I don't hate the effort or the commitment to "the oldies" - you could get mucho worse things to spend your time on..!
about a girl doesnt fit the album as a whole.. but the sound was a cool concept. its hard to put such a low beat song like about a girl on nevermind. the album had so much attack that the only antithesis to that was polly, a bareboned acoustic. again this remake sounds legit good on its own though.
Sorry, but it's sounds really terrible: if you compare the version of In Bloom from Bleach era (Alternative version), it was recorded differently, in a different tempo, a different style. You can't change the style and sound of a song for another album without re-recording the instruments and vocals, it's almost impossible
i think the only thing it couldve used is making the guitars seem bigger and more prominent during the chorus
