When I first started my hiking journey, I hiked alone and although I loved it and always enjoyed the hike, I got lonely pretty quick. I found myself making more video footage because I was lonely. Then I met a fan, started hiking with her, and now we live together and are together. We hike every weekend or kayak or camp or bike and at a moment when I thought I was going to be alone for the rest of my days, I found my Michelle. I always look forward to every hike right by her side 🥰 Great video, friend!

That’s a great trait to have, but also means it must be tough to be spontaneous and, to borrow from Xero’s slogan, to live life feet first, just jumping into things sometimes. Glad he got to see his friend and NZ… and that kiwi.

So nice to see places I know in one of your videos! 5 passes route and Rakiura/Stewart island are two of the best places you can go here - you really captured the light and colours accurately in your colour grading too! Our birds are all a bit weird, largely due to their being no natural predators when they evolved- they dont have a normal fear response. Sadly introduced predators are decimating the wildlife here - glad you got to experience a few!

I don't recall ever reading about or watching anyone ever doing that trail. GTD be a great adventure of discovery I am sure. I have a lot of research to do. 😀

I found it a bit rude when you said "strange birds" in a real drained way, while it was making the most interesting and sweetest calls. It boils our blood (Aussies and NZ) to meet close-minded people who think anything outside their own backyard is weird and don't have respect for the land they're on or native inhabitants within. NZ is actually the 'youngest' earth on earth. The landscape is truly unmatched, so I hope everyone can appreciate and show some respect to those who adore it.
