If nothing else of my comment is read, I just want my appreciation for Roland’s music to be known. I am incredibly grateful for every one of Roland’s songs, and especially Gates of Cloud at current. It feels like a breath of fresh air after the turmoil of life has taken its toll on me. Definitely a relaxing experience to be able to lower my ever-quickening heart rate just for a few minutes. A rest from the stress so to speak. This song speaks as if it is the opposite of tension, and I need that right now. Issues involving my father have cropped up more in force, but listening to this song has helped to remind me that the world is a lot bigger than my petty problems. I am in such an incredibly better place than I was just gone three years ago. Just remembering how I thought I’d never make it this far is honestly scary, but it makes me appreciate what I do have all that much more. So I guess this comment is little more than a token of my love, and it goes out to anyone and everyone who reads it. Whether your dam is blocked up with muddy water, or it is clear as day for the first time in years, I want you to know that you are loved, and you will be loved, and although the future is very uncertain, it seems like it’ll be incredibly bright for all of us. I would also say that any person's problems can be either petty or apocalyptic depending on the context in which you place them, but if something is hurting you then it matters. Maybe seeing things on a larger scale grants you some reprieve in which case I would say carry on, but I just hope that the kind love you wished upon all of us is also something that you grant yourself.
Your new songs (this and brick by brick) sincerely move me to tears. It is amazing to hear music coming from the perspective of someone truly in the process of healing. Thank you so much for your music helping me along and thank you for existing and making such a positive impact in so many peoples lives, no matter how small it might be (such small things are gifts from angels :) ).
