You did a great job on nailing the focus at 0.95 the photos look is great, film and lens combo works really well , will be great to see the film with a different lens , the couple photo is great and for the bike it’s not to much of a distraction , great work and really inspiring video!
I liked seeing the new film you used and love shooting with the M3! I like the first photo of the of the two gentlemen speaking together. Well composed and good background of Germany. I appreciate the videos you post! Well done!
i like the new approach with the explanations during the shooting and another debriefing. very helpful sometimes to have some additional information. 👍
From the prints, I love the one with the two guys standing together. Such great blacks. I also really like the bridge at 6:04. Soft but nice an creamy, almost cinematic. Definitely fits the film.
I really appreciate that you did a new episode. This shows that you don’t have to travel half way around the world to get great images! I think the guy with the afro was my favorite picture. And I love the look of the Noctilux in b&w in daylight! Definitely a larger format look to it.
I’m envious! Last December, I photographed Berlin with my Voigtlander Vitessa. Thanks for the episode. I stood where you stood in so many of those shots where beauty rose from the ashes. " Hello" from California!
This is a very interesting film stock for sure! I'd love to see how it performs regarding sharpness with the lens stopped down a little bit, even if that introduces some movement. It could be nice for shooting long-ish exposures during daytime...
My fav has to be the one with the couple and the bicycle. There’s something theatrical about the light and the overall staging / framing of the photo! Beautiful work as always!
Good to see you back in business! I enjoyed the episode for many reasons. The 50 Noctilux is seldom to find shot on film, I appreciate you making a video on it, especially combined with this new film. I actually like all three prints but my first pick would be the one with the two guys. The swirly bokeh and slightly 3D character of the 50 comes more alive in that photo compared to the other two from what I can tell. I also like the light better and the overall park scene. My second pick would be the couple, even if the suit guy looks cool indeed :). You seem to have a nice friend to lend you the Noct with the M3!
I like the film although more difficult in the sun. Good results though very soft and pleasing pictures! My favourite is the couple on the chair and the bike is fine with me haha! Keep it up so great to see you back on and hope you feel rested! 📸👌
For that couples shot, I think their mess on the bench was MUCH more distracting than that bicycle. And afro man was definitely super smooth. Good job Robin. Received both your zines. They are excellent!
Hello Sir, good to have you back posting videos. The bokeh on these images is crazy and silky smooth 👌🏼. I noticed you started shooting a bit vertically (Portrait mode?) and a bit further away* from the subjects (*than the usual, I'm guessing COVID) which i found rather unusual for you. You kinda made me miss Berlin as well. The photo i liked the most is the Afro Man in the Suit. It has good contrast in themes as well as color balance. I also loved the photo at 4:32 👌🏼. Have a nice day ☺️.
Brilliant! Thanks for sharing your experience with that film stock and the Leica M3/Noctilux combo. That ISO 13 film stock would be one I'd be interested in trying. Not many bright days lately on my neck of the woods (Louisiana) though. The 3rd print was definitely my favorite though. A juxtaposition of sorts between everything around him and the gentleman dressed really sharp. Looking forward to see more videos. Take care.
I liked the bicycle in the couple picture - probably my favourite one. You did a great job wide open like that and with an unusual film, which I never even knew existed. 👍
I too actually like the bike in that photo of the kids on the bench. Because depth of field increases with focused distance from the subject, the Noctilux doesn’t really surpass the much cheaper, and smaller Summilux for street photography because of the typical shooting distance from the subject. Where it really shines is closer up, more of a portrait distance, that will decrease depth of field and give that dreamy look to its maximum effect. Glad to see more videos from you again Robin.
First of all, I'm so glad to see you again, great episode! Very interesting lens, I can't say the same about the film, not for my tastes. However, the three shots are amazing, I especially love the n.3! Don't care about the lines, in this case it's ok.
I like the photo of the guy with the rad hair!! Very 70's look and all he needed to top it off was a pair of flairs, a paisley shirt and wide tie!!! :D :P His hair really made the photo :D
I liked the one at 4:10 and the one before that. That film stock is amazing but I guess u need lots of light when your gear is not pro. All nice shoots. Thanks for sharing. The review of the prints was nice too
I am truly amazed that you could get such sharp photos, i.e. in-focus photos, shooting that lens wide open - and with a 60-year-old camera. I have that lens and an M10, and I don't even attempt to shoot 'wide open' without the M10's EVF. Great photos, too.
Hey Robin, love the first image with the two guys, it feels rly natural to me cause the guys are talking in this comfortable positions + love this glow too. Beste Grüße Patrick
Really great stuff Robin 👍🏼! I worked on the same places 3 years ago with the FujiX100F. But I didn‘t get such great results as with the Noctilux. Absolutely outstanding. My personal favourite is the picture number one with the two guys in the park. Love the shallow depth of field. Hope to see more impressions with the king of lenses ...
Really impressed by this film, I don't have a 0.95 lense but my nikkor F1. 4 will do the job. I love your ease while photographing people, definitely encouraging to persevere! For the photos I think the afro guy is my fav but it's a close one with the couple (I don't mind the bike but more the person just behind it)
Hi Robin I like the two guys talking aside from the dream effects I like that it so candid (guy with the black shirt with his hand tuck in his back jeans) 😂. Also, I have the Babylon 13 but very reluctant to shoot bc of the low iso. But, now I see how u shoot it I can use my 50mm 1.4 summilux on a bright sunny day. Thanks for the video and keep shooting.
Noooo, this was your chance to shoot Lomography Berlin Kino in Berlin 😆 Great Video and I like that filmstock. That dreamy look was the first thing i noticed about the photos.
I like the photo of the man in the suit best too! It looks really cool and the framing is spot on. Regarding the lines, I guess you could always correct them a little by cropping and rotating and they would be perfect then hehe :)
8:40 I actually liked the bike being there, adds to the story imo, I immediately imagined them getting to the place, maybe both having a laugh uncomfortably riding the same bike, I actually thought you were going to mention the lady sitting on the back, for me that was the distracting part, though not so much because of the insane bokeh hehe.
Cooles Video! Wie immer! Der Film (Babylon 13) ist auch echt klasse. Schöner Kontrast.
I think the bike in image #2 is great. In my opinion the image would be stronger if the person behind the bike wasn't there. However, my favorite image has to be #3...that guy is awesome looking. Thanks for sharing Robin!
I think the shot of the couple isn't ruined by the bicycle as it helps tell the story of what may have happened. Dude in the suit is a great capture too. I'm not really able to say much about the film from the video. I'm sitting on five pack of this as well as fantome8. Would love to hear your thoughts
Did not know of an ISO 13 film - interesting. The first image of the two men in the park is the best. Either the film stock or the lens give a glow to the images. Enjoy your work.
Thanks again for the video. Great to see one from Germany- you did not get punished here either, which is motivating. Great look with the 0.95, but probably most of the magic gets lost in YT compared to print.
Been uninspired for a while to shoot, but most importantly because with the second child no time, but watching this made me want to hit the streets again! My favorite shot is the man with the afro. Great character and it's if he just came out of the toilet lol. And I'm surprised this 0.95 has that glow with the water. Woulda expect better, but I like those glow. + If you see at 5:26, he switched hands and is holding a bottle. Only if he would of did that when you took the shot!
Well done for being able to focus on the Noctilux with such a shallow depth of view and have moving targets. Like you I love that photo of the guy with the tremendous Afro because he’s moving and you managed to capture him. What do you think of the combo of M3 larger frameline and the Noct? I do find shooting the Noct tedious after awhile due to its weight and bulk and slower focussing. In bright light it’s a bit tricky to focus properly. The 50 lux is a lovely combo I think with the M if 50mm is your thing.
It takes great skill too prefocus at 0.95 and finding a point to prefocus on before your subject enters the frame like you did with the guy in the suit. It is impressive how you managed to nail most of the shots with so little time to focus. 👍🏽
All three images are nice and their prints are the best presentation because they reflect the tonality better than their digital counterparts inserted into the video. The contrast of the guy, his hair, his suit, and his environs make his picture the best. The couple picture is solid. The bicycle you noted would not have contributed that much clutter on its own. If anything that would have certainly complimented the picture. Some might consider the person in the background of the bike to cause a very minor distraction, but I think it helps illustrate how the couple is oblivious to their surroundings. The shot of the two guys in conversation is very clean. The synchronization of the background music beat to the rocking of the Noctilux while you are walking is a nice touch in your video.
I like that film! Its like a sepia shade of b/w, plus with the noctilux dream character, looks really nice. Wonder how the 50 lux ASPH would look with it 🤔
The noctilux is very cool, but I think I can't tell the difference between 0.95 and 1.4. So maybe if it's about the light then a 35f0.95 on aps-c could be a little easier to focus. Like the mitakon speed master in the M8 if that's possible..
You did a great job on nailing the focus at 0.95 the photos look is great, film and lens combo works really well , will be great to see the film with a different lens , the couple photo is great and for the bike it’s not to much of a distraction
, great work and really inspiring video!
Thank you very much! Your are the winner of the prints. Please send me a message on Instagram or through my website and I'll send them to you. 🙏
This is some of the best street photography I’ve ever seen. Wow!
that dreamy glow and soft focus effect is amazing!
Great video top quality as always gives lnspration to get out there and do Street photography DT
Same favourite as you, the contrast between him and the surroundings is very pleasing to me
Really dreamy shots! Very cool!
Great pics - Really like the couple on the beach- Great work
the man with the suit is definitely one of my favorites and I would love to have a print for you! great stuff. thanks!
I love the 3rd one. The highlight is so unique.
Love the highlight in the river
From the prints, I love the one with the two guys standing together. Such great blacks. I also really like the bridge at 6:04. Soft but nice an creamy, almost cinematic. Definitely fits the film.
Great episode!! So glad to see new videos on your channel. Love the dreamy look of the couple on the bench. The image looks as if it is timeless.
Afro picture for sure! Also, I liked the bike in the photo. Great video as always.
I really appreciate that you did a new episode. This shows that you don’t have to travel half way around the world to get great images! I think the guy with the afro was my favorite picture. And I love the look of the Noctilux in b&w in daylight! Definitely a larger format look to it.
wow, those picutres are just pure magic, love the glow
Auf Wiedersehen!
I love the picture with the Guy and his afro 🔥😊

i Love this and these Tips Great Vid Robin
All of three pics are very good in my opinion.
Its ameizing, film and lens combo is a dream:) and the pictures look great when printed out👌🏽
My fav has to be the one with the couple and the bicycle. There’s something theatrical about the light and the overall staging / framing of the photo! Beautiful work as always!

Picture n°3 is awesome.
Loved the shot of the old man near the start and the shot of the bridge. Really nice film 🎞
I like the film although more difficult in the sun. Good results though very soft and pleasing pictures! My favourite is the couple on the chair and the bike is fine with me haha! Keep it up so great to see you back on and hope you feel rested! 📸👌
The way this lens renders...wow.
the cool guy on the suit was my fav! excellent focus and love the contrast with the portable loo
For that couples shot, I think their mess on the bench was MUCH more distracting than that bicycle. And afro man was definitely super smooth. Good job Robin. Received both your zines. They are excellent!
Thank you! ☺️👍
Great shots

Have a nice day ☺️.
Thank you Roudy! Wait for the next videos there you'll see that I still get close. I don't really care about the whole C. situation.
My favorite had to be when you shot the bridge with the highlights in the water, so much detail and I love the contrast
These photos have a large format kinda feel to them, great photos
Brilliant! Thanks for sharing your experience with that film stock and the Leica M3/Noctilux combo. That ISO 13 film stock would be one I'd be interested in trying. I like the shot of the guys waving at the boat passing by..... about the film: its look is fantastic!

Thank you Brent. I would probably prefer a cron, it's even smaller and gets the job done. 👍
First of all, I'm so glad to see you again, great episode!
Very interesting lens, I can't say the same about the film, not for my tastes. However, the three shots are amazing, I especially love the n.3! Don't care about the lines, in this case it's ok.
Klasse Folge! Mir gefällt auch dein Favorit ✌🏻
I like the photo of the guy with the rad hair!! Very 70's look and all he needed to top it off was a pair of flairs, a paisley shirt and wide tie!!! :D :P His hair really made the photo :D
Hello from Slovakia, interesting film material, images looks magic. My favorite picture is 6:05, the bridge.
First: congrats for your work! Really cool pictures. Second: I’m fascinated with this film and lens combo, results are great! Greetings from Spain.
Amazing shots. Hello from Brazil!
The one of the two guys standing with the legs out of focus is almost unbelievable to be 35mm. Nice episode.
Nice photos!
I liked the one at 4:10 and the one before that. That film stock is amazing but I guess u need lots of light when your gear is not pro. All nice shoots. Thanks for sharing. The review of the prints was nice too

The highlights on that film are so nice, i'll have to try it out!!
Great photos!
wow that's a challenge to shoot, but you nailed it!
Hello from Peru, this shoot was amazing, while i saw the video i stoped when you shoot the guy whit stranger hair thar photo is my favorite too.
Really impressed by this film, I don't have a 0.95 lense but my nikkor F1. 4 will do the job. I love your ease while photographing people, definitely encouraging to persevere!

4:43 is my favorite picture. It’s will me remember the golden 20s. 😅
My favorite photo is the one with the two guys under the tree. It has that dreamy look to it.
In addition to the guy in the suit photo, I like your photographs of the photographers at 3:52 and 4:57.
I love the picture at 4:33 with the shades
I should try this film stock ! 👌
afro guy definitely the best pic!
its been a long time, good to see your new video
Noooo, this was your chance to shoot Lomography Berlin Kino in Berlin 😆 Great Video and I like that filmstock. That dreamy look was the first thing i noticed about the photos.
Haha, good point. Maybe next time. 😂
Good job guy.
I think, the bike make the image better 😉
amazing content
Wow would never have thought that you could shoot street at 0.95!
Your more brave then I, getting close to strangers taking their pictures
Nice photos
I like the photo of the man in the suit best too! It looks really cool and the framing is spot on. Regarding the lines, I guess you could always correct them a little by cropping and rotating and they would be perfect then hehe :)
the real sir robin is back yappa dappa dou

Same feeling bike adds to the photo
I really like the picture of the couple on the bench ... to me it airs that feeling of normality that we all are longing for so much these days
what a rude man showing the bad finger XD, great job Robin with the precise focus
Cooles Video! Wie immer!

I shot a roll of Babylon this past summer of waterfalls. I’m happy with the results I got.
I think the bike in image #2 is great. In my opinion the image would be stronger if the person behind the bike wasn't there. However, my favorite image has to be #3...that guy is awesome looking. Thanks for sharing Robin!
I missed these!

Ninjalike focusing skills! Afroguy is best one of these.

Nice shots! The reloading of film sound like the cocking of a gun lol. makes it feel like youre in shooting game haha. Cool!
I really like the one with the couple. I don't find the bike that distracting, it kinda adds to the story
I actually do like the bike parked by the couple on the bench. For me, it adds to the image.
Loved the two guys in the park, super cinematic if you ask me.. ☺️
#welldone //freddie
I really like the picture of the couple on the bench, and the bicycle is not that bad tho, actually I think it is a nice element on the composition.
