    Lovely Thai Airways, a very great model. I just recently bought an A350-900 Thai Airways scale model by Thai Airways itself in 1/500 scale. I’m thinking that, could the model that Thai Airways is selling is by Herpa? It didn’t carry the Herpa branding.
    Again, I agree with you regarding the confusion.
    The details from inflight sales has outstanding details such as the mould of the A350 (different from Herpa) the markings outside the aircraft (pitot tubes, antennas) but has the same registration HS-THB which is “Wuchian Buri”. The front gear has the details THB with the red markings, etc. but the main landing gear looks Herpa with the issue of it a bit too far from each other when viewed from the side...
    It’s an open topic for some of us collectors here in Asia :)
    * the mould did not create a thaiairways____.m issue as well on its belly :D

      Without having seen the model you described but I am pretty sure (if it is in scale 500) that is indeed has been made by Herpa but as onboard model is sold without Herpa branding. Models like this can often also have more details as standard models of Herpa.

      XWB is an abbreviation for extra wide body and i spart of the official name of this aircraft type as the A350 apparently has a wider fuselage than usual.

    The website name is like that because of the part where you would put the stand on the aircraft. It covers up the "co" part in ".com". Herpa covers up parts of words on other models like the Emirates A380 model.

      My comment on the web-address was sarcasm, pointing out my disapproval of Herpa willingly destroying details for a completely pointless feature.

      I completely agree, they are starting to put that feature on most of their models which means more annoying writing mess ups on models I just enjoy for being in my airport, not sitting on stands.

    Das mit dem loch im Bauch ist bei meiner a320 von air berlin auch so... da steht jetz airberli..com

    • @BongoPlanes
      @BongoPlanes  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ja das regt mich immer auf. Ich habe kein problem wenn der Bauch eifarbig ist ind es keinen Aufdruck gibt aber wenn es einen teil des Aufdruckes zerstört dann finde ich einfach nur dämlich, besonders weil die meisten Herpa Flieger ohne Stand verkauft werden.

    Main landing gear looks a bit symplistic. Not detailed enough in my opinion.

    • @theplanespotterguy
      @theplanespotterguy 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Isaak Dieleman I agree for the most part: you know these are so tiny parts it is very difficult to do all the details the real thing has
      phoenix and gemini jets have more detalis...

      BongoPlanes Strange part is that the Lufthasa A350 had more details than this one...

    • @BongoPlanes
      @BongoPlanes  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, especially as this one has been released later. But that is Herpa, not always as coincident as one would hope.

    • @landoswag04
      @landoswag04 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's kind of weird how they don't put the wifi box on this model rather they paint the shape of it. While on other exactly the same A350 models they do...
