I'll be honest. I've shied away from Italeri releases of late as I've found them to be quite inconsistent in quality. Despite being a 2011 release this kit feels reminiscent of a 70's early 80's kit because of the questionable choice of blue and brittle looking plastic. I've also experienced very uneven panel lines on some of their newer releases. Some very jagged, some deep cavernous, some almost non existent, all on the same kit. I think the last Italeri kit I purchased was at our clubs annual hobby show which was a 1/72 S.M. 79. It's a beautiful little kit though. I guess it's hit or miss.
Hi and thanks for watching. I appreciate you being honest I will be honest in saying that the major issue I have with Italeri is that they are sometime not accurate to the real thing. I'm guessing the blue plastic because of the blue paint job of the plane and the plastic may look brittle but it is not. I helped my brother build this kit and even though it's a quick build it went together nicely. I have seen inconsistencies that you have mentioned in all the budget mainstream lines (Hasegawa, Airfix, Revell, etc...) I do like Italeri, and like you said, It's a hit or a miss but not just with Italeri, with all manufactures. This is the main reason I made these video, to make people aware of what they are getting. I hope they are helpful. Enjoy!
I just did 2 of these, great video
Great to hear!. Was the info correct to your experience on the builds?
Another great video! I love this keep up the great work.
Thank you! Stay tuned for more unboxings and reviews
