Been following these videos from the beginning, great content thank you😍 i just checked the five proposals that got shortlisted - as a finn, im not surprised at all by ones that got chosen😄 i have a clear fave tho! Not gonna tell that yet - but i'll say that until now you have seen only 1 that got shortlisted🙈
Hi Cathal Amazing job as always-thank you! I have two questions: 1. I assume you’ve already seen the shortlist at this point. As you review these last few hundred, are you intentionally setting aside (“unseeing”) that knowledge. 2. Is it purely a coincidence that none of the shortlisted entries have appeared within the first 300 you’ve reviewed? Thanks again for all the effort.
Depth is obviously your thing btw but yeah there are some that you kind of just want to skip by, it’s like somtimes you got a good satisfactory amount from the building but others you get a more than you need
Now that the actual shortlist have been published, I am actually quite disappointed, I find them all to have the same problem as most of the projects in this competition. The projects all seem as a have been designed from above. Humans move along the ground, see and feel what is close to us. Perfect white objects with curvy roofs will never be seen and felt. We don’t have wings, and don’t fly to admire architecture. I am afraid many of these will just admired from drone shots on instagram. In architecture school right now it seems at the future in architecture is more at the human scale, with integration to the context in mind. We want a world where buildings in a city landscape talks to each other, not standing alone competing in who can scream the loudest.

22:40 well...
The interior in the thumbnail looks like a tour of the human colon
Just a little quicker and this would be very very watchable

Yes you conclude but then still add or repeat something - please don’t do this
The conclusion is what you think of it. It’s like once you know it, know it.
