It's considered incorrect now but before TC changed the lore and Myrrah's backstory, that is how it was. I remember reading what he said in the video on the Gears wiki when Epic were still the developers

Idk if you guys got it since the explanation on berserkers was pretty vague but they are pretty much bulletproof. Mini guns cant really even hurt them either (you'd more likely run out of ammo shooting one than even put a dent in its armour if you dont have a flamethrower on hand), they have to be burned by fire(flamethrowers) in order to take any other form of damage whatsoever. They're also freakishly fast, able to catch up to moving trains despite the train having a huge headstart. Also given they're size, strength and accute sense of small they can easily locate people and bash through whatever walls(concrete/brick walls) a person may be hidong behind which essentially makes it impossible for the average human or serran to get away from them or survive an encounter with them. Hell its even rare for squads of COG soldiers to survive an encounter with them much more kill one but just know if you do manage you'd for sure have an epic story to tell. The seeders also act as anti air units and the nemacysts they spew also jam coms as well
Gears of War is a spectacular game, with lots of lore, memorable characters and an incredible story. I hope you continue to react to the saga, with love from Mexico. PS: I love all your content and i will expect more videos like this. ^^
Its funny how recently Gianni Matregano talked on Castle Superbeast about how he was playing through the gears series with his wife and how it was ironically very dudebro bromancy and not nearly as edgy as he remembered it when it came out to which Pat and Woolie replied the sad truth was likely that the actual world growing around the game likely got far more real and edgy than the game could possibly be as time went on. As depressing as that is it is kind of charming that a gritty post apocalyptic end of the world war with musclebound thumb people fighting mutated genetic mutants feels a lot more tongue in cheek silly and just plain dumb 90s action scifi fun than now than what it was going for at the time. And the gameplay and story still holds up for what it is. Its violent stupid fun that the devs probably werent entirely going for given its serious and heartfelt moments, but it has that not so wholesome nostalgia to it of an era where the world was still only as scary as we could imagine it to be in a fantasy world.

Well on this map of Sera (18:48) there was another continent it looks like so Serans or Humans of the planet Sera lived on this other continent and islands in the middle of the oceans 18:48.
Iceland is an island though how would the Locust even get there 19:16. Two things #1: Would the Locust even know this, or these islands exist or if there are humans on those islands. #2: They can't burrow to the islands because sea or ocean water would flood in, and they would drown, or the rift worm would drown.
I don't wanna be that guy, but I totally am lol. So, I'm lying, I actually do wanna be that guy. But, just a slight correction, the typical Drone is not over 7 feet tall. Based on art and actual in-game models, they are only slightly larger than the average COG soldier. So, from maybe 6'2" to 6'4"-ish. Now, Skorge and his fellow Kantus priests are a definitely around 7 feet. They kinda tower over your characters, as do the Boomers. Berserkers are also massive, probably around 9 feet-ish. And, of course, General RAAM is just a freak of nature that stands at about 10 ft. He was the guy you saw that took a chainsaw to the arm, then Sparta kicked the bald dude. Speaking of that, one thing he left out, is WHY the COG have chainsaws on their assault rifles. They used to have regular bayonets, but the Locust have extremely tough hide that rendered standard knives near useless. You can penetrate a Drone's stomach if you charge full speed and impale them with it, full force. But, obviously, not a very viable option in the midst of intense firefights. So, after someone effectively killed a Drone with a regular chainsaw, the idea was passed along to make a heavy duty version to attach to the rifles. And honestly, it's one of the most iconic guns in gaming imo lol. Also another sidenote/nitpick lol, the reddish looking Drones they show at around 8:05 are not Locust, they're Swarm. They have some relation to the Locust, but they are technically still a different "breed", I guess. Being the subterranean race that they are, pretty much all Locust are very pale & greyish. The Swarm, on the other hand, are from the newer games that come after the original trilogy (4 & 5) and all have a reddish-orange tint, as well as a bit of a crustacean aesthetic at times. Particularly their creatures, who are usually straight up red and very lobster-esque. Anyway, if you guys ever played through the games, I'd totally watch that. Not enough people play through these on this site lol. It always felt like the underrated series when you think about that era when Halo & COD were at the height of their popularity.

Those post-apocalyptic worlds where every single scientist or mechanic died, and nobody knows how to make a car or that 1 odd city that was mostly intact or raiders that are not cannibals and sleep next to dismembered corpses. Need some knowledge to live unless you're doing a 3,000 kids where the only survivors story.
Here are some things that you two could take a look at: 1. The animations done by Cen0, such as Attack on Heavy, Pootis Engage, and Pootis Engage // Extreme. They are very good and Cen0 is a master at what some might call a _’Non-Euclidian’_ animation style. 2. Some of the videos by Thought Potato. His is a channel that dives into the mythological/fictional biology of some of history’s, and the internet’s, most famous creatures, like werewolves, vampires, etc. 3. If you _really_ feel up to it, you could react to the various playthroughs of Dead Space remastered. It’s a fun horror game and you might like it.
The fact that humanity could actually be in this situation is sad but the fact that it's possible is scary. I'd rather face zombies or aliens then Gears of War. I think machines are the most possible scenario right now though.
Here's a good 180 from the violent and dark worlds, how about reacting to the LittleBigPlanet trailers and maybe its 4 spin-offs? It's mainly a world of where you play as a sackboy (It has a cute zipper), but the main part is the amount of creativity, LBP is not only a Platform Game, but it's also a "Platform for Games", simply make anything you wish with a little bit of effort, the 3 games do have a story mode, although LBP 2 has the best campaign. They also have lots of crossover DLC, like turning the Sackboy into Kratos, sometimes even having whole levels dedicated to a series, like a Toy Story level, or The Muppets Show level, fun fact, every single story level is made with the same Creation mode that every LBP player has access to, once you see the trailers, you'll immediately realize how much potential the creation mode has.
It's a big shame that all the servers are shutdown, so it's pretty much impossible to actually even play any player-created levels, everyone had amazing ideas! Even managed to make funny versions of Street Fighter with actual health-bars and abilities! Best memories are when you get to listen to the campaign songs, although it might be the nostalgia for a 15? 17 year old game series? Get It Together was a joy to listen to.
If i were a woman, as messed up as it is to say, you'd definitely catch me in the human breeding farm💀 ain't no way I'd wanna be used by locust for breeding. No thanks. This is why Gears of War did so well in the first three games. It was dark, gritty, and downright terrifying in regards to the plot.
