Whilst I don’t doubt that has worked for you to clear some drift from some controllers. The issue with drift is usually worn potentiometers on the sticks. It’s pretty easy to just replace the pots rather than the whole stick assembly but does require soldering. PS4 controllers are even easier as you can even calibrate and save the sticks after you have replaced or cleaned the pots.

Yeah I’m not technically minded for that and don’t have a soldering iron. Maybe something i’ll do in the future
