- We all go a little mad sometimes…especially when you were created by an evil scientist. Poor Mecha Sonic never stood a chance. As his plan reaches its final stages, Tails, Sigma, and the Scrapniks race around the Death Egg to save Sonic.

this Story Was Beautiful! Seeing Mecha having his own character arc from Villain to Repented is just perfect! the voice it could use some work but it was very good! I hope IDW makes Mecha Come back soon! Also Having Break Through it All in the back while Sonic Taking on Mecha that gave me Goosebumps!

Archie Sonic: LIMIT?! I GOT YOUR LIMIT RIGHT HERE!!!
That's what I like about Archie Sonic. He get offended by the very notion that he has limits and then exceeds them.
Of course in that story it still wasn't enough to defeat Eggman, but he also learned that he did indeed have limits, even if he can break them sometimes he needs to trust his team to back him up.
And with the help of AMy and Tails he saved everyone Eggman took from Knothole.
Meanwhile; because IDW Sonic isn't allowed to ever loose he wins just because. Yeah he got helped out of the smelter but he won the fight despite all of his disadvantages.
That doesn't make IDW Sonic bad, but you don't feel the stakes much when you know for an absolute fact he's gonna win every battle he's in.

@@Scream_LordI don’t necessarily understand this thinking. Everyone knows the hero will win in the end, and that’s the same whether it’s Archie or IDW. It’s the process to see them win that counts.

The inspiration from Sonic OVA is evident in the comic, though I couldn't help but hear it in your dubbing as well. Intentional or not, it reminds me of Burke's Sonic voice with the earlier Mecha mixed in.
Dude I would like to see the continue where Tails sent some people on that island to fix all robots.

This story was amazing. Put tears in my eyes. And your dub is even more amazing. Without it I would not have been able to experience the story. I knew this story was giving me Sonic OVA vibes but heck this was 100x times better

It's amazing how Sonic gained an empathic ability to Mecha. It reminded me of what happened in Sonic X, when somehow a chip made Sonic automatically run without stopping.

I wonder if Scrapnik Island was inspired by Scrap Valley from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog? The main idea is the same: A bunch of old Eggman robots left somewhere remote and turned good. It would be cool if IDW comics brought back some AoStH characters like Archie comics did. The history of Sonic includes many characters with colorful personalities and living in situations which could give birth to many intriguing stories so it would be a shame if those characters were forgotten. (Or should I say, scrapped.)
And another thing: The lesson told by this miniseries is relatable and timely: "The value of one's existence isn't determined by successes and failures. Both are fleeting and impermanent. What truly matters is having the courage to keep moving forward." And that message was demonstrated in a creative and thrilling way. These stories are so good that SEGA should base Sonic games on Sonic comics.
Well, I need no more evidence. You are worth subscribing to my friend. The few actually good Dub productions I've seen of these Comics. As someone who doesn't have time to read or ability to buy any issues, thank you!

So, one thing I'm surprised about... apparently the Death Egg's Foundries are still functional, as we saw in the battle scene. So the scrapniks have access to parts manufacturing facilities. So why only conduct repairs with scrap? Does Sigma not have access to the Death Egg's manufacturing facilities?
Man the "you've never been casted aside and robbed of your value your purpose" hits me hard

so i do really like the voice work here the only thing i'd change really is the mecha voice at the end to be the one you used for the fire pit. i just don't think it really gells with the scene.

I’ve been wondering, if the mind transfer did work and Mecha sonic got completely in Sonics body, how was he supposed to get away? Sonic was strapped down on the table
Perhaps he would have had control over both bodies he could unstrap himself with his mechanical body and escape with his new organic one (after his leg recovers)
