Hello Anna. I am enjoying your vlogmas very much. I love your scrappy cowl. I have leftovers from socks I’ve made for my husband and two sons that I’ve wanted to use to make something for myself. I think a scrappy cowl like yours will be a great project. Thank you for sharing your time and talents.
Hello Anna, I have been binge watching your vlogmas since yesterday evening. While knitting a, for me, complex sock pattern. This morning I was up early again. And this video makes me want to write a comment. Years ago I read the books of Left behind from Tim Lahaye. Our children, now they are grown up 🥰, read the childrens version of it. A part of it was translated in Dutch but sadly they stopped translating halfway the serie. The fun part of it is that is written with most of the same caracters but has a kind of a parallel storyline. I loved reading it. Thanx for sharing your life and your love fot Christ. He is the reason for the season... ❤❤❤
I love your vlogmas Anna. Your scrappy cowl is really looking good so far, it's been fun to watch it grow. Also you were right it is called a strike in english too. -See you on Monday :)
Happy Feast Day! Our mass is at 7 am and I was up at 4 am as well😮 I'd prefer to wake later, but sometimes it just can't be helped. Ah well...early morning coffee and knitting isn't the worst start to a day!!❤
Oh wow! I love early mass. Here in the diaspora I have to take what’ve can get. 😅 When I lived in Austria I could walk to church. 🤩 And it was a pilgrimage place with a 1000 year old monastery. I miss that a lot!
Yes, strike is the correct word. We have strikes going on here in Québec right now for teachers and health workers. I cannot wait to try the potato recipe. I think I'll make it to the grocery store tomorrow. 😋
I love your Vlogmas and miss living in Germany, especially this time of year. What is the name of the book with the sock patterns you were looking at? My favorite thing to knit (right now) is socks. And, yes, it is called a strike in English as well.
My husband works for DHL and the tug drivers/plane loaders, unloaders are on strike too. He has to work extra shifts to help cover for them. I am very much a night owl, I can't imagine waking up at 4am and staying up! Your shawl is beautiful. I can't wait to see it completed.
@@annaknitter Thank you! It is especially hard for him as he is the Facilities Maintenance Manager so has never had to deal with the actual packages. He is learning!
The part of the crochet hook you are referring to is the shaft. I am starting a garland too but without the red beads-I cannot find them at the moment so maybe later in 2024 I can make more with the beads! Happy crafting Anna!
Your book sock pattern looks so Christmassy. Green and the patterns look like wreaths. Hope you had a wonderful day.

But don’t expect too much. It is a very easy meal. If you like you can add bacon to make it more tasty.
@@annaknitter Easy and simple is my very favorite kind of meal.

The Christmas season is already so much work for your husband and then his colleagues go on strike? I feel very sorry for your husband! ♥️

Thanks for the info!
I'm just like you with finishing ends. I don't do magic circle for crochet either. Have seen too many disasters with it from others using that method.
Loving your vlogmas as always Anna. The cowl looks amazing. Missing Germany. Do you have eier scheke there? We had it somewhere near bad doberpn
Where did you live in Germany?
The book is called „Oh du sockige Weihnachtszeit“
I lived in Bamburg for 3 years but it was 40 years ago. Seems there’s many changes - as everywhere.
Yes, the term is striking. The unions want more money for their workers so they called a strike.
