Betty here....a great example of thinking outside the box. The ginger jars turned out beautifully and can be used in so many designs. (I can't imagine paying $300 for a ginger jar!) I also noticed you used a semi-gloss paint which looked really nice. Also, the tape idea on the floral arrangement is a great tip, especially if you want to re-use the flowers. I agree, $300 is wayyy too much for me to pay for a ginger jar, luckily the lamps were a great substitute! The tape is so helpful and makes arranging my flowers a breeze. You always brighten my day with your comments! You’re the best!💕

They were very nice before you jazz them up but after you painted them and finish them they were gorgeous thank you so much for sharing this great video with us to show what you can do with a little bit of effort they were the best part of that centerpiece on your table and they were huge they looked as big as you. Everything looks beautiful. I did something similar with a smaller lamp. I needed a gold vase or urn to compliment my brasscandlesticks. I had a lamp that was no longer working. I took it apart and painted it gold. Some lamps can be made into high end candle holders just by talking them apart

Oh my God they turned out so gorgeous...would you believe, I also did such kinda diy some long time ago...as I saw a small lamp without wire and holder in a garage sale dor 50 cents...I spray painted and just put a know at the top to look like the lid....thank you so much for sharing, really enjoyed watching all that...

The backyard area is one of my favorite spaces in the house. We live in Florida, so we get to take advantage of the beautiful year round weather.
I purchase most of my florals at Michael and Hobby Lobby. I do buy flowers at the Dollar Tree as well. I use those flowers as filler flowers. I always appreciate your thoughtful words. You’re the best!💕

This is beautiful. I love taking old lamps that have a ginger jar look and recreating them to look like ACTUAL Ginger Jars. That's one of my favorite dupes. Go to my channel to see my Faux Ginger Jar Dupe makeovers and you may recreate one that I've done. Hoping you can be inspired. The next thing I'm trying to figure out is how to remove the top to actually make it functional. Oh, great tip on using the tape to create a grid instead of purchasing foam. TFS Lisa

I'm fairly new to makeovers. I hope you don't mind if I ask a question. Knowing that you were going to paint the bottom and top of the lamps, why not spray paint the entire lamp white as a base coat? They turned out beautifully and it was so fortunate that they had the right shaped finials! The flower arrangement was beautiful, too. I love soft pink flowers! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! The reason I left the top and bottom gold is because I was going to re-paint them gold. Leaving them gold helps my top coat become even more saturated in the gold color. If I were to paint it white I would have to do more coats of gold paint to achieve the gold color I wanted. Hopefully that makes sense!💕
