It's not wrong, they're just not showing everything...however, it would have been nice if they showed the long down puffer or parka coats that are pretty popular now :)

I'm annoyed that they had that bright yellow jacket for the 2000s. we all know every girl war a black puffer jacket with a fur lining on the hood. that was true 2000s winter fashion

Hm...2000s should have been a cropped leather jacket and the 2010s perhaps a bomber jacket or a parka with a fur hood.

The 1960's coat is absolutely gorgeous! I want it so bad!
I remember seeing a bold green 60's inspired coat with Leopard print fabric on the collar and sleeve cuffs worn by Anne Hathaway in "The Devil Wears Prada" and I thought to myself "that coat looks like something Jackie Kennedy would have worn!" But it looked just as stylish on Anne Hathaway as it would have looked on Jackie Kennedy.

This is probably my favorite video yet. The 60’s cost is stunning but the 70s!!! She rocked that coat! Present day was pretty spot on too with the fur trend.

The only thing i don't like about these videos is how annoyingly they try to make the 70's and 80's crazy. Not everything they wore was that bright and crazy. Honestly.

I’ve noticed the 70s is all about the earthy tones and the 80s can be really muted or extremely vibrant.

in the 1940s, the all fur coat was the most popular coat...
also the long black wool trench coat and/or the plaid version was popular in the 80s too..

Is it me or do they always get the ‘80’s wrong, like they over exaggerate it and make everyone look like a Madonna pop star. Where’s the jeans? The big socks and white keds? Not everyone/hardly anyone wore fishnet and neon everything all the time

The 60s coat was gorge!
In the late 80s I wore a short suede fringed coat, not far unlike the long one my mom wore in the early 70s. In the early 90s it was a denim jacket, but I also had a long black trench and later a 3/4 length orange belted coat that was my aunt's in the late 60s. I think I had a cropped jacket too.
I had all but the orange coat. Lol I had a black suede fringe coat and one very similar in acid wash denim with white fringe

Why did they not have a full fur jacket in the beginning? Like the oversized faux fur in the end is a trend that is reminiscent of the 10-30s... And why do all of their old coats look the exact same? And why is she wearing pants...in the 50s? The era that sent women back to the homes and the era that popularized the poodle skirts. I'd be interested to know if they did any research for 20s-50s bc it honestly doesn't seem likely....
They did wear pants in the 50s, the rebel girls did
pants have been acceptable in society since the 30s, women just preferred to stick with dresses and skirts. if you look up vintage sewing patterns for things like swing coats, you'll see the "models" (really drawings) wearing high-waisted pants and heels.

When you see the 20's look and think this is gonna be historically accurate, but then you see 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's and realize it's not xD
40s seemed fairly accurate! although that style of coat could definitely have fit with the 50s...I have a swing coat like the one they showed in the 40s montage, but it was made in the 50s!
Here for the 50s, 60s, 80s and beyond! 20s is cool too, love the rich textiles!
Parkas are quite popular too, saw them a lot growing up and they seem to have made a comeback in my area

I just miss wool coats--the 100% woven wool ones, not the felt-like wool/synthetic blends that never were quite as warm or long-wearing.
Not as much as I miss 100% cotton flannel nightwear, but yeah....
