Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 5/DR, and Tekken 6/BR have the most addictive character select screen music ever. I either search them up or just open the game and let the select screen music play in the background when I'm cleaning or working out.
I agree! I'm very impressed by how much good quality the games have! Tekken is definitely a franchise that was way ahead of its time compared to some other fighting game franchises, like Street Fighter, Fatal Fury, Killer Instinct, Virtua Fighter, maybe even Mortal Kombat.
My favorite game's roster _image_ setup (which is actually what I watched this video for) would have to be Tekken 4. I enjoy how they strictly focused on well-made and up-to-date portrait shots. The music for the character selection was also very atypical, and still is while considering the future games too. However I assume the average person would come to review each game's cast and we all know that's TTT2.

Not really, Lee's towards upper left-most, while Alisa is lower right-most, with Lars directly above and two non-story characters between him and Claudio. You'd think there'd be a pattern concerning new characters, but it's not that way either, Bob fucks it up lol. T7's character select seems to be haphazardly put together.

Tekken 2 had the best roster, hands down. It's so nostalgic. And, I loved all the characters! I miss Jun Kazama, boo! And I miss when Devil was a separate character from Jin and Kazuya. That was cool. Yoshimitsu's design in T2 was the best. It was creative yet minimalistic.
Isn't the Tag Tournament series a non-canon way to get ALL the characters from every previous Tekken games to fight and tag with each other. It's pretty clear that they will have larger rosters than the mainline Tekken games, because the mains have to be consistent with their "stories."
From what I noticed... Paul, Nina, Law and King are playable in all series. Yoshimitsu, Heihachi, Kuma are close second since they aren't playable in Revolution | Jack Series in 4 | Kazuya in 3 Correct me if I'm wrong if I missed some characters.

T4 and T7 have really cool, odd theme, where T4 has darker tone, and T7 has a "closure" feeling
