P.s run these stihls hard they love it, made to run hard, and built to last, just remember to grease the gear box for long life my friends. The gear box is at the head, there is a screw at the head of the shaft you need to take out to put grease in at least once a year so you dont have shaft problems later.
Very good review, I think I've had mine about 5 years now. Made about $10k with it so far, still going strong after many hours. Keep up the fantastic work.
I love mine. the thing is built like a tank, and has a ton of power. the first one I had got stolen out of my trailer along with my backpack blower. I didn't feel like forking out the money for a new one, so I bought an echo from home depot. it was ok for a while, but the lack of power drove me crazy so I broke down and bought another fs91r
Absolutely man! This thing rocks. It’s never let me down. I like Echo too, just decided to grab this one because it was on the shelf the day I was in my dealers shop 😂
I use this model at my landscaping job. Its wonderful! I work all day with it at banks & cemeterys & it certainly doesnt disapoint! 💪👍& My boss usally buys stihls square trimmer line, which i find cuts very well, although it doesnt last quit as long as the line your using.
Yeah I’m still loving it about a year later! I just recently added the SpeedFeed head and that made a night and day difference! I’ll have to do an updated video on my opinions and experience with it so far!
I bought one of these for my boss since he helped me out of a jam with his own money and we had 2 old machines break in 2 days and a 3rd one the next week. I got it on sale so it was about 125 dollars cheaper than normal. I got used to it at work but after a couple months the rest of the crew hasn't been taking care of it so it's already getting tough to start and bogging down. These guys beat the hell out of the machines and don't maintain them, as well as just "eyeball" the gas/oil mixture so when the last machine I fixed for them came back missing half of the air box and the filter was gone and the other one with us that day had a broken guard, I had enough and bought my own FS91R to keep with me and I really like these things. We're a small company of 8 guys plus the boss. 4 of them are kids and 1 of the older guys is overzealous about speed at the expense of the machines. If even a modicum of care is taken for them they wont let you down. I'm planning to break out on my own next year and I expect this machine will be a great asset for my own hustle. I'm glad these youtube reviews seem to feel the same. I'll probably end up getting a blade for it so I can get at hedges that are just out of reach of the hedge trimmer.
Damn man, that sounds rough. Sucks you had to buy your own equipment but I guess if it makes your workload better it’s worth it right? Hope it works out for you, I still love this trimmer. It’s great!
@@3rdTACGolfandFitness I used the first one for a couple months before the other guys beat it to hell so I already knew which one I wanted for my own. At least now I can go hustle around the surrounding blocks for some extra cash. NOBODY likes trimming and I am sure I can easily trim and edge 5 or 6 yards on a saturday for 25-50 bucks a pop. I really love how this thing has so much more power than the rest the boss's crew carries so it saves gas on top of having that tank that's twice the size. I'll probably obtain my own push mower before next season starts so I can definitely start my own side hustle. If I had a truck of my own then I'd really take off. These guys are nice, fun and work hard but they don't take care of the machines and want to rush whereas I want to walk away from a perfect yard every time so it's a bit of a balancing act. I've already made some tips from a couple clients who came out to tell me I do an amazing job and want to see ME every week over some of the other guys on the crew so I think I'll do alright if I get my one man operation going.
Also the funniest part is, I am a 35 year old bearded stocky dude in Hi-Vis, professional work pants and sunglasses and the rest are in wifebeaters and shorts so people assume I am the boss and approach me to ask about jobs. I discuss with them the details and if it sounds like a thing we can do and hand them the boss's business card. xD

How is it sill holding up? Just bought mine today at Rural King as well. They were running a deal and had it for $299. Haven't used it yet and can't wait. I'm coming from a 14 year old 4 cycle Husqvarna.
I just paid $429.00 for mine 8 days ago here in American Samoa. This is an incredible trimmer, power, agility, ergonomics and especially the guard is spectacular!! I cut whole lawns with this machine(one job requires about 4.5 hours straight cutting). Ran an echo225 for two years(my legs would be peppered with lava and coral rock bits)also, the hidden treasures of dog poo in the face and everywhere. The guard on the FS 91 R deflects everything away from me. I cut grass in shorts and no shoes😉. Stihl in Paradise🌴👍🤙✌️
The 324L is an awesome trimmer. I ran it for YEARS. It’s now my back up to this one. The power this one has is night and day difference over the 324L and isn’t much heavier at all. You won’t regret it!
Mitchell's Lawn Care LLC absolutely man. I’m so glad I bought this one. Not much heavier than the 70 but a lot more power! Thanks man, you as well! Loved the shop tour, I felt like I was there 👍👍
I honestly tried a little bit everything (over exaggerated but seems like it) but I feel like the Ballards trimmer lines, black diamond (the .095 and .105 lines for both), weed warrior .08 pulverizer, and a lot of .065 lines for cutting grass only.
About to maybe get this, how do you get more like out as you’re working? I know some string trimmers have it where you press it on the ground and the spring lets out line. Thanks!
