Personally I dont care about the money side of YT at the moment. This is because I'm putting my audience first and I just like to see my numbers of subs and views going up because that's rewarding in its self. If I get money from TH-cam that's just a bonus.

Great video on CPM vs. RPM. As advised I won’t share either of mine, but I’m looking more into how many mid-roll ads I should put into a 10-15 minute video. I’ve been averaging 3, but I see a lot of popular creators putting 6+, which I find may be annoying. Should I increase the amount of mid-roll ads to increase RPM as a smaller creator? Thanks.
its depends upon your content.. if you posting some thrilling and surprising moments in your video place a mid roll ad before that if the viewer got excited they will wait and watch the ad and see that super moments.. but precise your ad positions it will work
I think you've already answered your own question. Any advert you place in a video create a barrier between your content and your audience. It's a balance that you have to decide upon. And that's more a CPM question. RPM includes your value to your community.

Hey Rob I have a SERIOUS question. My channel never got a 1000 views on any video but it recently got 90k+ views on a video and I got 1.5k subs just this week. And now I have just applied for monetization and my channel is under review. But my audience keep on commenting to upload the remaining part of that big video of mine. And it's gonna get so many views I know. So now I'm wondering if I should upload that video or wait for the review to be approved in order to get big money.
I have a bit of counter question. A LOT of your content looks like it copyrighted material (scenes from movies). Do you have permission to use any of this? Is it transformative content? Is it reused content. I am concerned that you may not be accepted into YPP for those reasons. Just my personal opinion of course.

I go by what TH-cam says. Every time in my experience the studio has been the one that’s behind. Just recently, last week, I had 4 less subs in the studio app. It just updated and even right now it’s 1 sub behind now.

I would think if your competitors or new channel creators see how you are doing it, they will change the way and processes to match yours and attempt to steal your viewers and get them to subscribe to their channel = loss revenue in views
I concur. I use Camtasia 2019, and it works great in many ways. If you are a student or teacher, you may be able to get the education version. At a cheaper rate. Take advantage of that!

Try it, and see how your audience reacts, i.e. if the audience retention/watch time etc drops or not.

Most definitely has to do with how much influence you have in the market. The more you provide to TH-cam the more you move up in the algorithm

I saw my RPM and it was depressing! 😂 I way preferred the look of the other figure.
But it's accurate and it doesn't mean you are earning less. It means you know what you are actually earning.

Not really. CPM is just a very old way of estimating revenue on the platform and RPM updates it all to 2020 standards.
