Our previous attacking trio was Chair, Field and Willock. When they were firing they were brilliant. With Willock out on a limb at Cardiff we still have Field & Chair, but also Saito, Kolli & Frey. Be good to see Chair back properly ,knowing that he has scored some cracking goals.Full marks also to Dunne, Smythe Cooke and Nardi..
Yes you know it was a bad first half when the extended Sky highlights package talks about how great Loftus Road is under the lights for about 4 minutes of it at the start and then politely cough their way into the second half. I do like Sam Field in the 8 shirt, it does seem to suit him. I really like Saito and Smyth, for all his poor crossing is still a tricky player to deal with. Varane is starting to look the part and Morrison have made such a massive difference at the back alongside Cook. 21 going on 34 with the way he reads the game. What a find he is. Kolli exciting and playing through sickness which kind of indicates that the talk of his attitude recently is unfounded. Your right, get that contract done. A total banana skin avoided and a chance, perhaps on Saturday, to keep Armstrong and Wells at bay and stick a few past them at the other end. There's something about Bristol City that I've gone off recently and I'd dearly like to see us go up there and finally complete a three win week. It's long overdue.
Totally agree with your comments. 1st half was a snore fest but I was certain we would be better in the second half which is what happened. Unless Oxford have a lot of injuries I think they will be certs for the drop based on that performance. Next few games coming up are also definitely winnable too
Sounds like it would have been a tough watch in the first half. I think it’s very positive sign that after appearing fatigued we came out strong. This is where youth and enthusiasm are important and we seem to have that too. I’m really excited about the next period with Frey and Chair then Colbeck back soon hopefully. Hoops!
I said these games were our real test in the comments a few weeks back. So far Marti and the boys are passing with flying colours. Are we finally actually getting some luck? Like you said we got carved open a few times and we all know 8times out of 10 the opponent scores those against us. The ricochet hitting Nardi and bouncing perfectly for him to clear after it had rocked the cross bar. We need to make the most of this run of form and with all the injuries coming back it’s extremely exciting. Lastly I’ve never been a big Chair fan but last night was crying out for a player like him to actually do something creative for the entire first half Great content mate personal favourite QPR TH-camr 👌🏼 Get on west London sport and freshen it up. It’s needs a host think you’d be fantastic at it
@HoopsaTH-cam It's so obvious to play him centrally instead of listening to him and letting him cut in from the left. That only only worked regularly when his best friend Willock was beside him. So, unless he develops a lightening fast chemistry with Madsen, then it's down the middle he should go.
💯 that first half was terrible oxford was passing around like Barcelona the second half was better but we were sloppy when we was winning Urrrrrrs cook was brilliant as was fields
And to think fans were calling for Marti's head. He's expected to perform miracles with an average squad ravaged by injuries. Now, having dropped only 4 pts out of 15, what are they saying now? Let's see if Noury brings in a striker in January. In Marti we trust! U R's 🔵⚪️
Agree lacklustre scrappy first half….lot more intensity after halftime ….Oxford poor ..two great finishes from Sami Sami field!, massive 3 points for Hoops…onwards!! U Rsssss
Good second half, the first half was a Sunday league performance and is best forgotten. Don't know what happened to Lloyd but he looked very off it and we need to sort out this LB situation before Ashby costs us a game (No offence to him). Obviously he's playing out of position but maybe instead of trying to smash the ball to the opposite side of the pitch with your weak foot just play simple short passes. Love Super Sammy Field and COYRS!
Lloyd just coming back from injury and strangely given he's a CF has looked brighter when coming on down the wings rather than as a solitary striker. Agreed with Ashby, his insistence on that cross-field pass five or six times was just bizarre!
Superb analysis no point adding anything as you described it word for word virtually as I did to my son who couldn’t make it. But who cares win ugly. And yes if Oxford do not get relegated I will eat my fading undersized stadium seat.
I agree with all of that. The first half was mindnumbingly shyte. I would add Madsen to the roll call of useless players, how on Earth we wasted £4m on two midfielders worse than what we already had is worrying. Great to see a victory after missing Leeds and Norwich but I doubt we’ll see a worse team than Oxford all season.

Would love to see Chair in the actual 10 role, Saito and Smyth either side of him…

Well put mate, agree with all of that.

Well put mate. If Chair can get fit I’d actually love to see him in the 10 instead of Madsen… Thank you mate!

Talk about a game of two halves! Who were those blokes in the hoop shirts 1st half? Did Marti sing Redemption Song to them at half time? 😅
Doesn't take much to become equal top scorer does it!!
sammy sammy field sammy sammy field, also special mention for varane for me he is a class act, agree that 1st half was so poor from both teams
Varane improving game by game, should be a good player for us!

Madsen really not helping himself especially in that first half…
Was it just me that had a bet on Sam to score two goals at 100 to 1. Come on you rsss.
Drinks on you! Congrats mate.
