Yeah man, Rob is very under-rated...he's much much better than many "recognized" guitarist out there. This guy's one of my favorite guitarist. I'd love to learn some of his techniques. Rock on!!!
@BledsoeBluvd IN ANY IMAGINABLE WAY! you can put it straight to ur amp and mic it, you can conect it via usb, you can conect it to a mixer and then to the cpu, you can conect from the earphones output to ur pc's or Mac mic input, you can conect the L/R outputs and mix them... tons of posibilities
Rob is really a versitile and much undernoticed guitarist. I was just rapping with him at a guitar show last weekend. He's the most unassuming guy to meet in person. I played a little at his demo, and despite the fact I can't play worth shit, he showed me the greatest respect.
I dont know about the product, but I do know that usually the thing that the product might not be so perfect is hid with amazing players like this guy. Awesome.
Played through on of these things at the San Francisco, Guitar Center. It has a feedback setting that I REALLY LIKED!I Its like an ungodly amount of gain. Did not make me sound as good as Rob Marcello does. Amazingly easy to use and the sounds and tones are amazing. I want one!!!! $499!
Nice Rush type tone at 4:50. That chorus blows Line 6 products right out of the water. Line 5 also has that unnatural note fade thing going on with all their products. The GT-10 looper is a nice feature for creating. I'm sold and will looking to pick one of these up.
Man, this guy is a wizard. I just purchased the GT-10 and have to say, it's a fine piece of gear for sure. You just have to get into deep editing on it to get the tones you're looking for. The more time you spend on it the better. The only thing that would have been better for editing the GT10 is Boss putting out a PC based editing software. It would be much easier to do deep editing. Come on Boss make some software to edit this unit on a PC! At $500 for GT-10 it should have editing software.
These actually sound really good when played through a nice clean amp. TH-cam's compression and low audio quality doesn't give them a fair show. They actually sound pretty warm and organic when set up right.
I have the x3 haven't tried the other but i did a lot of research, basically if you're looking for the best tones go for the pod, if you're going for effects go for the gt - as for recording, the X3 is great for it thats ones of it's specialties if i remember
I can hardly help since I just got mine a few hours ago and still need to figure it out! but from what Ive seen I got some great sounds from it,including distortion...I love the preamps and can't wait to play with the harmonizer :) Good Luck! Try the factory settings for now.
aside from being a great guitar player, Rob is probably one 1 of the most down to earth guys you'll ever meet.. when i used to work at Sam Ash music in the chicago area, he used to come in w/ the roland rep. about 2 to 3 times a yr and demo new boss stuff for us sales guys in the guitar dept..
Hi! Could someone tell me what effect is used in the "choppy" part of the clean section (about more than halfway through the video)?... It sounds like a chorus with a delay (or is it a pre-delay?). How do you achieve such a sound/effect in terms of the settings?... (I bought a GT-10 but am not sure yet how to tweak it's settings...I just found that "choppy" sound cool) =P
so can a boss-gt or digitech isp101-whatever be used with a power amp or tube amp set to clean channel instead of the traditional tube stack or combo. Would these modelled digital preamps give a disortion sound on par with tube amps?
I play through a Marshall stack, but I am unable to get any type of decent distortion on it. Everything else is great, but the distortion isn't. Someone please reply and help me.
BTW, I meant to say the GT10 wins in tweakability. Let me say, I was NEVER a fan of Zoom or any of their products...until the G9 came along. Its almost like they made a mistake and made something good. The input jacks on the G9 are metal and seem pretty sturdy.
This piece of gear would make a most worthy upgrade from my current digitech RP21d & nicely compliment my just recently ordered (and still not shipped) Roland GR-55. Oh yea.... pure excellence comin my way.
@linuxguy2009 Most of the tone comes from your fingers..This rig and his EQ settings sounds a little thin, however, still sounds good for a lead tone, not to mention,he plays SUHR GUITARS..these things are 3000plus...top notch. Nice guitars make a big difference as well.
@linuxguy2009: it sounds quite like this when you use headphones ... but set this beast up on an amp and sound like this through the mix is a hell of a job ... You can bet a crew of engineers helped Rob to set up the tone here, i wish the same crew in my room to help me out as well :)
I use to use Line6 only but I recently grabbed a Boss GT-10 and it has much more tube bite than the pods and many more tonal options. I even liked the Boss ME-50 which is cheaper than the GT-10 and easier to use. Ofcourse if you have the extra cash grab a GT-10, you will fand any tone you need in these things. Hope this helps.
Yeah there should be, on the me-70 i just turn off all the effects completley and turn the cosm amp models down to off and thats it, but if thats not quite the answer then iv no idea.
hell yeah especially the spider III series you can get any and I mean ANY tone available and even create tones never heard before (trust me Ive tried EVERYTHING you can think of woth the spider III) Line 6 all the way
rob thanks for talking with me at NAMM your info on this unit was very valuable!!!
i love that clean chorus tone he gets
'' this is on eighties metal, which i like.........as you can judge by my hair....''
lol classic!!
You are a champion! Thanks bro!
Wow man, I love the way he puts that clean tone in there. That is incredibly effective.
Yeah man, Rob is very under-rated...he's much much better than many "recognized" guitarist out there. This guy's one of my favorite guitarist. I'd love to learn some of his techniques. Rock on!!!
so cool~!
great guitarist!
Saw this in a music catalogue, god I want one!!!
wow!!! nice melodies!
he just performed at our school, he was there with 3 others from Roland demonstrating, really good guitarist, good person also when i talked to him

5:25 from there on that riff just makes my spine shivver. i love it wish i could play that
4:28 >love that slap back delay!
i love this 80ies tune!!
I dont know about the product, but I do know that usually the thing that the product might not be so perfect is hid with amazing players like this guy. Awesome.
i freaking love this guy
He's very versatile
Really works that wah like Vai - great upload! !
bellissima!
Rob Marcello is incredible...
hell yes!! I do like it
this guy is freaking awesome
wat guitar is he using???
stunning and much under rated guitarist, some of the song he plays has a slight satch feel to it cracking song.

I wish there was a guitar tab for this. I might try learning the chords anyway, there's something about the main riff which just makes it so awesome

I love my GT-10, in my dreams.
ROCK the heck ON!
I need one of those

I'm just overly mindblown on how gorgeous this tune is... Starting at 1:42
my god!! savage!!
Trop fort !!!
wow, the GT-10 even plays drums and bass in the demo!! That's amazing, a far cry from my GT-8.... ;->
i want one of these...
lol !! end of the video " is my hair good " . this guy is awesome lol
These actually sound really good when played through a nice clean amp. TH-cam's compression and low audio quality doesn't give them a fair show. They actually sound pretty warm and organic when set up right.
u r so good, god bess

It's a Suhr, check them out, stunning guitars

I play through a Marshall stack, but I am unable to get any type of decent distortion on it. Everything else is great, but the distortion isn't. Someone please reply and help me.
@Hertsman50 The people from the "crowd" there, were being mindraped with epicness.
BTW, I meant to say the GT10 wins in tweakability.

Has anyone tried the POD X3 Live vs. Boss GT 10? Whats better for recording? and Live?
@Bulletman426 There is actually editing software its not made by boss but it works beautifully!
@VegasGuitarPlayer Ive been screwin with the every aspect of that machine for a year and a half. im saving up for the fractal audio axe fx ultra.
can this thing do pitch shifting and are the ods,ds and fuzzes good?
I want a gt-8 but they recently stopped selling them. If i cant find one i guess ill get the gt-10 even though it cost more. Is the gt-10 really good?
@linuxguy2009: it sounds quite like this when you use headphones ... but set this beast up on an amp and sound like this through the mix is a hell of a job ...
You can bet a crew of engineers helped Rob to set up the tone here,

@BledsoeBluvd yes, through USB
can this go straight into ur computer for recording?
What's he doing at 2.46? Is it an arpeggio, or just chormatics?
Robert marcello is so underrated
listen to his song called "old school"
from what band is marcello from?can anyone tell me bout this guy..his great..
@SashaStankievicz what is the name of theme?
Me too!
The shit usually resets itself suddenly and 1 pedal by 1 is way better!
Got one playing can i use this on a line 6 amp ?
is this the demo of boss gt10 or of rob marcello ? :D
which sounds more digital? this or the gt 8?
