This man is one of the reasons I started singing. I’ve heard him with BST when they were still on the charts. Every morning when my mom was taking me to the babysitter’s house, one of the songs I’d hear on the radio was “Spinning Wheel”. I believe God put a bug in my ear in the form of David Clayton-Thomas’ voice.
I'm a big fan of BS&T since my high school days in the late 60s to early 70s. David has such an amazing voice. My friend and I both played trumpets in the jazz band and concert band at school, and I was more of a BS&T guy, my friend a Chicago fan. I got to play the solos. We had so many good times!
Love DCT all of my musical life. A girl I grew up with turned me on to him in 1970 and I've been hooked ever since. Here's my take on just WHO is the King of Rock & Roll: Chuck Berry is the King of R&R. Period. Not Michael Jackson. The PRINCE of Rock & Roll is Little Richard. Period. Not Elvis Presley. The greatest band of all time are the Beatles. The greatest ROCK band of all time is Led Zepplin. Now that WE can cut our own CD's, the record companies are dead. And with the internet, book publishing is a lost art. That's the long and short of entertainment life at I see it in 2023. I'm 68, so I've seen it all first hand. Always remember: ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE...BUT IT'S ALWAYS BEEN A LITTLE BIT SICK!!
Exactly why he mentioned the 1960's Artists wanted to fight to protect and preserve the royalties of the songs they covered that are due to the 1950's Rock & Roll Pioneer Artists. Many 1950's Rock & Roll Pioneer Artists were being ripped off and having mass money withheld from them by corrupt Record Companies.

The best voice in rock history.
I only know his godlike singing voice - Never heard him speak before - amazing to hear this gentle husky Canadian voice!
Precious insights by a legend. David's recordings are simply awesome.
I really like David Clayton-Thomas as a person, not just his voice. Very thoughtful, well-read, etc.
are you kidding?!!!! Every soul that reaches heaven says to God, " hey you sound like Dave Clay Thomas!"
Sorry I thought you said you didn't like his voice.

This dude is spot on with his explanation on the change in the business and piracy.
He's very knowledgeable about the music business
@@DanielSarkissian He is.
Beside his great voice, and performances, he got very powerful personality and he is a very humble human being, my respect Sr you still the best.
Gr8 input dave.may you live long
The voice!!
Loved their music
Wow! The first time I have heard his speaking voice!
Very good stuff.
That is the man with the voice right there! One of the most unique voices in all of rock. I am yet to hear a credible imitator of the DCT voice.
Tim Jones sang with him once and they sounded somewhat similar, but definitely not equal.
@@stephenthorpe6238 Yeah. Two powerhouses.
This guy look like he is in his 60's yet he is. Nearly 80 and he still has hair!
You make me so very happy
Thanks ,great stuff
YES PREACH IT BROTHER.🙏

He is reminding me of Dennis Loccoriere from Dr Hook in this interview.
He's right on point!
Canadian LEGEND.
History telling history!

More than the truth
They would not be Rock Roll without Little Richard and Sam Cook Fats domino Chuck Berry and list goes way before the BEATLES.
